I never played the original so its hard to tell what exactly got changed. Hunting down the metroids in a specific area and being blocked off from progressing was ok but having to kill the same one everytime is awful. Rest of the game is great and felt like a proper sequel.

A pretty good fangame if it ever gets finished after 10+ years of development. It has some really great new chips and viruses while also bringing back some classic ones. They even bring back a mixture of styles and crosses, though it has a lot less room for customization, which disappointed me, and you lose out on full synchro. Especially seeing as this is a demo, you are only able to play with one of the styles, with the other four being in the full release. The first style isn't even all that interesting compared to the others (I can only read up on their plans). It is really nice of them to include pvp and make it a focus with different regions + crossplay (Capcom lmao).
A few more nitpicks here... The music and sound effects in the Scilab scenario are just awkward. I really don't like any of the updated mugshots, especially Lan's. The music was just okay compared to any other MMBN, sadly. Battle rewards are sometimes really slow and take forever to close the window, no matter how many buttons I keep pressing. Saving and jacking in take a bit too long. * is now before A-Z, which is a bit annoying to get used to when looking at codes.
I played the 5.0.1 demo, but all their teasers for 5.1 show a lot of improvements to how each net area looks and a lot more features.
I just want to play more of this badly.
