2018

An incredible overall experience. The combat is challenging, rewarding, fast-paced, and fun. The characters are amazingly written, and art and music are beautiful.
My issues that keep it from being as good as the other Supergiant Games for me are story and worldbuilding. The story is okay but not great, in part due to not having a clear end, and the worldbuilding is nothing new, which can of course be expected from a game set in greek myth, but the other supergiant games set a very high standard for worldbuilding.

A challenging game that can be made easier with the excellent “Assist mode”, with a great story about mental health and some queer themes.

The gameplay is very fun and discovering combinations between the hundreds of different items kept me invested in the game for hundreds of hours. The story is weird and confusing and pretty much up to interpretation and to me, it’s a very queer story that is important to my personal life, because it helped me overcome christianity.

A puzzle game that really challenges the 3-D thinking parts of your brain. The puzzles are fun, but the best part are the characters. GLaDOS, the sociopathic AI and Cave Johnson, the megalomaniac scientist are 2 extremely funny personalities and you just love listening to them. The first part is also good, but I personally prefer the second one, it's just more fleshed out in every way.
Also "Want you gone" is better than "Still alive".

2017

A visual novel with a fun little sport game attached to it. The story is great, the characters are great, your actions and choices matter, but despite that, there is no fail case.
The ending is amazing, one of the best endings I've ever seen in video games.
The sports game is alright, nothing to get excited about but it's pretty fun.

It's pretty fun, but got boring rather quickly. Will play again from time to time when I'm not in the mood for any of the other roguelikes I play

Beautiful style, great worldbuilding, wonderful characters, amazing story told in an interesting way. My only issue is that the combat isn't that amazing but very difficult, so it wasn't able to keep me interested in playing the game myself.

Amazing atmosphere, great writing, interesting story. Only reason I abandoned it is a basically mandatory (it isn't technically mandatory but not doing it would make the story feel incomplete) section near the end of the game that suddenly forces you to fight after being able to just run from all your enemies throughout the entire game, and it's frustratingly difficult without being any fun or me understanding what I was doing wrong.
Still worth a try, maybe you're better at combat than me, or even just to enjoy the game up to that section. I hope Bachelor and Changeling will be even better.

A fun beat-em-up that can range from relaxing power fantasy to tough challenge depending on your chosen difficulty. The story is very bad and confusing, but the characters are very enjoyable.
There are some painfully bad gimick levels, but if you can look past those, the remaining levels have some super fun combat that lets you experiment with the many many combos the game offers.
Bayonetta is a fairly sexualized character, but there are only a couple of uncomfortable male gaze scenes, and apart from those, it makes the game even more of a power fantasy to me.
Oh, also the music slaps.

I really wanted to like this game. But after almost 3 hours I still have no idea what is going on or what I'm supposed to do. I like games that don't spoonfeed me everything, I like games that have weird narratives, but this one is just too much of that

I was looking forward to another story with the characters of Persona 5. And the story is pretty good. However, the combat is simultaneously too chaotic and too boring. I barely have an idea what's going on so I'm just button mashing and that's just not very interesting. And in 90% of all fights I can beat them like that with no issue whatsoever. Using the environment is interesting but too gimmicky and too strong. There were combats I didn't have to bother with fighting at all, I just skateboarded through everything. Also, there are too many fights. Going from one place to another takes forever because you get attacked a billion times on the way there.

Excellent combat, most fun I've ever had exploring in any game, a beautiful artstyle, and a banger of a soundtrack.
However, the writing is awful in pretty much all aspects. The dialogues feel forced. The story makes no sense, and isn't very enjoyable.
Also there's some stuff required for main story progression that is pretty much impossible to figure out on your own, which I personally didn't mind too much, I don't hesitate to use online guides, but I know others might see that as a negative

One of the better roguelikes I've played. It has a bit too much meta progression for my taste but it's pretty fun overall

It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years!
This isn't only what the game told me to tell you, but also my genuine opinion on the game. I've never played anything like it. The gameplay is amazing, closer to a puzzle game than a traditional shooter. The story is also surprisingly intere... I mean there's no story, just shooting red guys

Started out really enjoying this game but after a while it just kind of became a drag.
