2021 List

Games that I've played that have come out in 2021

(This entry is just for Bowser's Fury and not 3D World + Bowser's Fury as a whole.)

This is gonna stand the test of time and be remembered as one of the best 3D Mario games, MARK MY WORDS.
It truly was a Disco Elysium.........................ꜰɪɴᴀʟ ᴄᴜᴛ
Used this remaster to get into the whole trilogy; which is why it's so high up on this list, because I fucking loved Mass Effect.
𝐎𝐇 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍
It's so good to see Suda51 back in the captain's chair again. I hope it says that way for the foreseeable future.
Psychonauts 1 was Super imaginative, had great platforming, great writing, and a fantastic art direction. Ok now just take all of that, but do it 10 times better. HOOLLLYYYY SHIT this is a good ass game.
This is now my new favorite Ratchet and Clank game,
and has dethroned Crack in Time which I never thought could happen.
They should have renamed this game to Resident Evil 8: Ethan Winters VS. The World because the shit that happens to this man is so fucked you kinda feel sorry for him after a while.
Imagine the fast-paced gameplay of a roguelike; like Binding of Isaac or Hades, but mix it in with a bullet-hell and Lovecraftian imagery, you have one of the most challenging games for next-gen systems.
I guess Skyrim was good for something after all.
I have a variety of different questions, and I know for sure I won't get a single answer.
It's one of the best Co-Op games I've played in a long time.
Out of all the sports you could turn into a video game dodgeball is a very strange one, even though it makes perfect sense, but the most shocking thing is how fucking fantastic the game is.
I think it's better than Little Nightmares 1 in almost every way, but it does fumble in a few points.
(This is technically cheating because this came out in Japan in 2020 and was later released Internationally in 2021, my list my rules.)

This is by far the best Persona Spin-off made so far.
The funniest of the original 2 seasons, but feels held back from the true Insanity of the series by it's cheap recycling of contact and its repetition.
I have a stupid huge soft spot for games that can give me an atmospheric experience, and this gave me one the likes of which I've ever had before.
The puzzles could have been a little better but I enjoyed from for what they are.
Super fun game with some outstanding landscaping and color, just kinda wished the gameplay was a little more than just a glorified 2D walking simulator.
DeathLoop more like DeathPoop.....................................naa but for real this game fucks reeeaaaally hard.
Small action games with a minimalist color art style are my jam.
This game is just flowing with its amazing at times entrancing style it's outstanding, its gameplay is not really all that engaging but it reminds me a lot of Later Algaitor, where it's less about the one to one gameplay and more of the interactions you have with characters in the game.
A remaster that fixes all the cheapness of the NES title while still giving you a ballbusting experience.
It's not the best but also not the worst, it falls into the same spot as Hitman: Absolution, a pretty good game.......... I kinda like Absolution....................... :I
Gianni Matragrano has proven that he can make literally any voice and still can be funny.
From the amazing 1980s synth aesthetic, to the surprisingly intriguing narrative, and its fast-paced 2D Hack and Slash gameplay, it's all-around a fantastic game.
A really cute game about one person who overturned the toxic work environment all because someone stole his lunch.
It's just the same game but I can actually play it now............digital distribution sure has zero problems.
(This entry is just for 3D World Rather than 3D World + Bowser's Fury)

It's pretty much just the same game but faster, snapper, and I can play it wherever I want. I really liked it the first time and my opinion hasn't changed since.
𝙈𝙐𝙉𝙆𝙔 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙀𝙕!!!!!!!!!!
It's a really cute game about a nuclear fallout....... no I'm not joking.
As a remaster it's kinda lackluster, besides the "newer" models and more high-res textures it's pretty much just looks like the PC version, which isn't a bad thing since I think the game still holds up pretty well for it's era I just would've liked a few more changes to really make this game stand out as a remaster. But even if I don't think it really makes full use of it's remastered elements I can't deny that I'm glad this exist as a good way for newcomers who've never played Alan Wake on 360 to finally play it very accessible way with all of it's DLC content, which is something I wished more studios and publishers did.
The video game personification of a deep-fried meme
I can't say it's phenomenal but it's one of those video games where you can definitely tell the developers love doing what they're doing and I love seeing that.
It's not as good as the original 3 Halo games, but they gave us a grappling hook and that is unironically the best part of the game.
This game is 95% talking and just looking at your surrounding which if done wrong could make the whole game boring, but the writing is so well done and engaging It held my interest the whole time.
Really fun adventure games only brought down by its kinda bland art style.
Every fight with a dragon must have Kickstart my Heart in it from now on.
This is the new gold standered.
It's a pretty fun platformer fighter, but it's held back by its very cheap presentation.
Really fun but it's also super short
( I mean really short, you can finish the game in less than 30 minutes.)
idk why but games where all you do is just clean stuff are really relaxing to me, which is funny since I hate cleaning pretty much anything around my house.
I swear if I hear the word Smurf one more god damn time I'm gonna lose my fucking mind.
I mean I paid a dollar for this game it's not like I was expecting anything amazing, it's a short 30 some odd minute platformer that was pretty fun.
It feels like a New Grounds game from 2009, and it sure does play like it.
honestly I'm a little disappointed by this game, I really liked the pixel art of the game, and the writing was pretty funny at times, overall the gameplay was slow and dull and I didn't really care for it.
I can't say it's bad, but it's not good either.
it's very middle of the road.
I got exactly what was advertised to me. I got a new zombie shooter that was made for the original studio that made Left 4 Dead, and that's it. I can't say it's awful, and in all honesty I did have some fun; but that's it. I can't say that this game released Left 4 Dead, but it did indeed.................................do..........ssssomething...........................uuuhhhmmmmmmm............yeah I don't know I don't really have anything to say about this game.
It's not an awful point and click game, but it is a really meh point and click game.
I liked the ideas it was going for but I didn't really care for the execution of those ideas.
It's pretty much the same game but now you have to pay for it.............eh.
Honestly, this one just made me really depressed because I was really looking forward to it.
I mean I don't really have a lot to say about this game, I mean I got it for free so I guess that's something. :T
My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
It's pretty much just Among Us but with a very eh retroesque '60s aesthetic, a somehow a surprisingly complicated control scheme, and more simplistic jobs.
It controls a lot better than the original but it's also missing some of the best parts of the original making it possibly the worst way to play it.
I be shitten my britches Mr. Squidward.
It's a much worse version of a Wii game that somehow runs and looks worse and has a new OST full of awful remixes of the much better original OST.
I mean it controls fine for an on-rails shooter, I just think the idea of shooting underaged girls until they orgasm just kinda fucked.
It's the same fantastic game only missing the best parts of said game. Making it the worst way to even play the game.
I'm sure if I was a kid and also liked Peppa Pig I'd be going crazy for this game, but I'm a 21 year old adult and and I don't think this game was made for me.
20 dollars well spent
The PS5 is the true next-gen system we've been waiting for.
I know nothing about DnD, so I have no idea if this is a good representation of the board game or not. So far I'm not impressed.
The most disappointing game I've played all year, and I'm not even a super fan of this series.
Super interesting time loop idea that mostly works.
You can actually go on Reddit in this game and that was more attention to detail than I actually expected for this game. So good job................. I guess.
I'll say this much it perfectly encapsulates my feelings on the current run of the show. It's boring, forgettable, and it looks like ass.
This game deserves to be shunned and laugh at. We shouldn't be ok with the game coming out like this. If I'm gonna be paying 70 dollars for games from now on we deserve better.
This game is a proof of concept; that you can make a game so devoid of content, so devoid of meaning, so utterly devoid of a purpose, and it'll still sell.

No more, I'm so fucking tired of it and it needs to change.
Quite literally the worst way to play this game.
it takes everything from the first game and somehow makes it worse.
I expect better from a horror/porn game.
A literal con job.
A truly boring game with an even more disgusting message.

In the case of "The Medium", what message are you referring to? Keep in mind, I've never played it (never intend to) but I want to know because that seems interesting.
