Another World is a masterpiece of the cinematic platformer genre and Atari age. Although mechanically simple, Another World paints an incredible alien landscape that feels shockingly real with ease.

One of the most unique experiences Nintendo has ever produced.

Pikmin's largest shortcomings are the disconnect between its plethora of iffy design/balance decisions and common technical issues.

Pikmin's New Play Control remaster solves many of the series technical issue and overhauls the game's central control scheme for the better improving what was already a creative masterpiece.

One of the most unique experiences Nintendo has ever produced.

Pikmin's largest shortcomings are the disconnect between its plethora of iffy design/balance decisions and common technical issues.

Pikmin is a worthwhile experience for everyone looking to try something unlike anything else that can be found in the medium.

Signalis is a mishmash of various other horror games, predominantly Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Everything good from those other titles is present here but often in a much more narratively and often mechanically stale context.

Worth a playthrough if you a fan of the genre but don't expect any surprises.

Super Mario Sunshine is a strange beast, mechanics are introduced to only be used once and then never again, one off unintuitive interactions are plentiful and Mario characters are portrayed in not necessarily bad but undeniably strange ways.

The final game feels like several tech demo slammed together and polished more than a cohesive package. The game is a mess but sometimes a beautiful one.

An exceedingly boring flanderism of everything that once made Fallout an interesting franchise bogged down by obnoxious centrism, contrived plot points, mediocre gunplay and forced crafting and settlement building.

I would recommend playing almost any other Fallout game.

I suspect this is really a title you needed to "be there for". In the modern day Ratchet and Clank is a janky mess that occasionally features moments of clever writing and engaging level design that briefly makes the experience tolerable.

I'd highly recommend instead playing almost any other Ratchet game.

A generally forgettable remake/reimagining of Ratchet and Clank's debut adventure.

This game does nothing wrong in a technical sense (aside from some rather icky preorder content implementation) but really offers nothing narratively or mechanically noteworthy.

The game cuts a lot of content from the original Ratchet and Clank but in my honest opinion most of that content wasn't worth remaking.

An absolute highlight of the Souls series, Bloodborne twists the Souls formula into a mouth frothing rabid beast of high energy combat and endless risk reward.

The largest weaknesses of Bloodborne stem from its awkward blood vial system that often forces the player to stop and grind during what would otherwise be a brisk experience.

The game's offering of bosses is also strangely paced with many of the late-game bosses being considerably easier than their early game counter parts.

All of these criticisms melt away in the beautiful dance of bloodshed that Bloodborne effortlessly engages in. A must play for anyone owning a PS4 or PS5 who isn't afraid of difficulty.

A fantastic part-reboot-part-sequel continuation of the God of War series that keeps a series fresh after 6 quality entries. Perhaps mechanically leaning too heavily on motifs of the souls-like subgenre, God of War refreshes a series that could have easily become stagnated.

God of War has a fantastic narrative but suffers due to limited enemy variety particularly in regards to the games minibosses that are reused to an obnoxious extent.

A once in a generation game that reshaped the sandbox genre and will be remembered for decades to come. A must play for everyone who has ever touched a video game.

Hollow Knight is an extremely refined metroidvania that more than keeps the genre alive and well but does little beyond that.

This is a game that is easy to fall in love with and has more than enough content on all fronts. Definitely take a look!

An overhyped but extremely endearing experience. Undertale replaces the classic elements of JRPG combat with various minigames that although sometimes more obnoxious than intended are always charming and never overstay their welcome.

The narrative is very hit or miss but definitely has a pleasant and somewhat unique atmosphere.

You will be very quick to determine if you enjoy what is on offer.

The culmination of the entire Souls series into a monumental open world experience that pushes the series in new directions while refining its existing systems.

Although Elden Ring sometimes prioritizes quantity over quality and can definitely overstay its welcome nearing your playthroughs end its raw achievements easily outshine any misgivings.

A fantastic starting point for those hoping to get into the Souls series.
