If you truly hate somebody, make them play this shit.

Less effort went into this than into the Atari E.T. game.

Just watching a trailer of this on youtube made me wanna drink myself to death.

Lost Ember made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside in a non-ironic way.

It could use more polish, but this game certainly don't miss your tear ducts.

Dragon Quest V certainly has its faults. Battles can be incredibly tedious, especially as the encounter rate is a step too high, and there are some pacing issues that sometimes feel pretty glaring.

But this game also has a boatload of charm and love.

And the sprawling and daring story of the game that spans multiple generations and plot lines is truly a sight to behold that deserves to be commended.

I have never seen something quite like it, similar to the ensemble cast storytelling that can be found in Final Fantasy VI.
And it captured me in quite the similar way.

This game is clunky, cumbersome and completely unbeatable without a guide or walkthrough.

But it also has a unique presentation, a captivating style and an eerie "future noir" flair that was far ahead of its time.

Especially for video games.

If you can get over the awkward and archaic feel of the game, especially regarding its progession and controls, then you just may discover something special.

Did not manage to catch my interest whatsoever.

Unis review says it all really.

I am just less harsh and more appreciative of the things the game does well, especially the unique compagnions and their quests.

I do not hate this and the idea is kind of interesting, but it is so barebones that it barely qualifies as a video game.
It gives you a 5 Minute experience that ultimately says nothing and then you will never play it again.
... that's what this "game" is, now that I think about it.
Nothing.

.... isn't this from the same people who made Bientôt l'été?

... that surely explains a lot. Especially how pretentious it is.

If you make a game with so little gameplay, then there is a problem when the narrative rings pretty hollow.

Still, it looks pretty and sounds nice and isn't without value.

I do not regret playing it.

So 5/10.

Did Goldeneye age like very fine milk?
Yes. Yes it did.

But I played and finished it when it was already as pleasing to the eye as a roadkill.
Seriously, this game looks so ass, it's actually unreal.

But I still finished it. And had lots of fun doing just that.

And that's really something for a game this old that has aged this poorly.
