This is the high point of an already pretty fun series. Sure, they're simplistic games, but Frog Detective is an incredibly lovable character and I'm so happy with how this trilogy wrapped up.

This was really fun! The puzzles are a bit on the simplistic side, but I don't think puzzles always have to be incredibly complicated to be good, so long as they feel clever and well-constructed. It was goofy and entertained me for the full runtime.

I hated this to an indescribable degree. The gameplay was boring, lifeless, and damage spongey. The plot was dull, predictable, and honestly borderline offensive at times with its handling of sensitive topics. The characters were cardboard cutouts of people with no actual interesting motivations. This is the first Tales game I ever played and it’ll likely be my last.

I had so much fun with this game. The ending is a bit of a letdown, but not nearly enough to ruin some of the jaw-dropping puzzle solutions and twists.

Well, I loved the first half. I thought it was a new favorite. The back half felt unbalanced. And underbaked, though. Maybe it’ll improve with updates, but I’m not sure whether I’d fully recommend it right now.

There isn’t a whole lot of game on offer here, but what is there offers a fun enough gameplay loop. I’m glad I bought it and I hope that more polished, fully featured versions of this sort of game come out in the future.

This was a short and sweet platforming adventure and it was a huge surprise to me how enjoyable it was. Honestly, I wish it was a little longer!

This was a wildly fun journey with a lackluster conclusion. Still recommend playing without any guide and just see how your choices play out.

I love city-builders and this one is one of the best out there. I’m so glad I gave it a try, even though I think the DLC practices used are kind of scummy.

This is a really fun metroidvania/rogue lite/puzzle/platformer game! I’d say it started to overstay its welcome about 3/4 of the way through, but it was still funny and clever enough to keep me reasonably engaged to the very end.

Sometimes you have to review a game relative to cost and expectations. This game took me 36 minutes to beat. It was also 99 cents. I’m feeling pretty good about it, all things considered. The camera was a little slow, but it was fun and I enjoyed myself.

I was having way more fun with the platforming segments than in the first game, but I hated the boss fight. So I guess it’s a mixed bag. I still recommend it for the price, though.

This is my second playthrough and I actually enjoyed it slightly more. I think it’s because frustrations about where things should go weren’t really an issue because I remembered from my first playthrough, so I could just focus on the zen act of clearing a space. It’s still not my favorite game, but it was pleasant.

2022

It's very basic and very simple, but all things considered, I had a pretty good time here. There are worse ways to spend 20 minutes of my day.

This was adorable, and honestly, my only complaint is that I wanted more by the time it was over. It's just a solid and fun 3D platformer.
