Milktoast Kart 7.

It's far from bad but it just lacks any and all personality. It's the only one in the series that I feel lacks it's own identity. But hey it controls great the new tracks are pretty good and it has the best retro course selection before MK8 Deluxe so like, I feel a bit bad bitching about it.

Everyone's downloading the delta emulator to play the Pokemon games. Me? I downloaded it to play gameboy pacman. We are NOT the same.

I swear sometimes I think I don't deserve to play video games.

played on delta

Omg I tried obeying all traffic laws while driving in GTA im so quirky right guys

Okay I love this thing but damn am I just bad or is this game hard as fuck? Probably a bit of both. I can't make it past the cave area.

I guess the birds will never be saved and will probably die a cold, lonely death. Oh well.

Played on NSO GBA

This might've been the first video game I ever played (I can't 100% remember) and that's pretty cool. There's no better feeling than absolutely pummeling Toad with the homing missile-ass red shell and hearing his pre-pubescent scream. Now THAT is nostalgia.

Side note: I wrote a whole article ranking every 64 track from worst to best if you wanna check it out here: https://andrewsgameblog.substack.com/p/ranking-every-mario-kart-64-track

Played on NSO N64

I can appreciate the level design but man I'm just bad at video games that require me to think.

You bet I still have the spiky eared Pichu on my save file that's right I'm cool sex with me is great I promise

The superior Pokemon game (besides maybe HGSS and Black/White 2 idk). I've probably put more hours into this throughout my life than any other video game.

And yet I still get fucked up by Cynthia almost every time lol I'm just bad at video games okay

I always thought the argument that this was a bad/lazy release was pretty short-sighted. When I got this as a kid it was one of my first exposures to the original NES 2D Mario games, and I loved looking through the booklet that came with it. Just because there's not a ton of crazy behind the scenes stuff or extra content doesn't make this a bad collection. Maybe it's just a way to introduce a younger audience to these classic games--or rather, this classic compilation.

Yeah yeah I know the NES games were available individually on the Wii Shop Channel for less, but some of you ancient Nintendo nerds who were adults at the time of the Wii forget that some people (me) didn't have access to Wifi at the time. So getting this $30 Wii game version with a small bonus crash course in Mario history was perfect for me as a kid.

Sometimes you gotta remember that a simple collection like this can be the gateway into spawning new fans. Sure, more content isn't a bad thing, but this amount is just fine too.

Happy belated 25th Anniversary Mario.

7 year old me was DUMBFOUNDED when he accidentally unlocked Baby Luigi without knowing how. That felt better than losing my virginity that same week.

Spent my final hours with the Wii U/3DS servers by messing around playing some of this. It's been a while since I played it, and it's not really one of my favorites, but it's definitely better than Sun and Moon or BDSP. We'll see if Pokemon Legends Z-A can expand upon the game somehow and redeem the lackluster post game.

This might be my biggest gaming hot take ever, but this is the weakest 3D Mario Kart. The controls are awful and slippery, the track selection is pretty weak (more bad or forgettable tracks than good ones imo), the two racer/two item system isn't nearly as mind-blowing as people make it seem, item balancing is WORSE than Wii and makes playing through the single player a SLOG, the graphics don't look great (sometimes people say Wii looks worse but I disagree), Toad is an unlockable character for some reason...okay maybe that last one isn't that important but it's just stupid.

It's still Mario Kart, so it's still mostly fun, but I think I'd rather play any Mario Kart except Super Mario Kart before it (yes that includes Super Circuit that game is slept on fight me)

Also FUCK this game's rainbow road especially that part with the upward spiral where the camera gets all wonky. I played this game like 10 hours so I could give it a "fair" review and I don't think I drove on that thing without falling off at least once.

So in conclusion DOUBLE DASH SUUCKSSSS LOL stay mad

Crazy how the fire flower gives Mario jaundice in this version.

Instead of reviewing this (it's a good puzzle game idk) I just want to say my girlfriend doesn't play video games much but occasionally will play things like Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Stardew Valley and...Dr. Mario. She can just sit and play Dr. Mario for hours and hours. It's nuts.

Idk I think she's living proof that Nintendo should release a Dr. Mario app on phones.

I love this silly little horse card game.

Played it on Switch basically every day since it came out. Yeah I know that's only since like January but that's a long time for me. Kinda gettin bored of it now, so it'll probably be a long time (like a week) before I pick it up again.

The economy of time in my life is an enigma.
