gameplay wise it's what God of War 2018 should have been. think the first templar x asura's wrath. story and character wise it's nice to be a badass for once.

overall this is the first good final fantasy since 7 even if it is racist in it's cultural appropriation and bastardization of Hindu gods.

Great and convenient way to play two of the best games of all time, but play on Gamecube instead if you can.

Not the best way to experience this all time classic. The game looks good enough and is convenient to play, but the Switch struggles to play it and it introduces new glitches not present in the Gamecube version. The game was also built for a Gamecube controller so it does not control quite as well here, and it is sorely lacking options.

This is one of the best games ever made and you should definitely buy it if you don't have access to the Gamecube version, but if you do have the Gamecube version you should play it instead.

Impressive music and visuals, annoying dialogue. Better than Treasure Land Adventure and MC Kids, worse than Mission to Mcdonaldland.

A delightful platformer with wonderful progression, music, and atmosphere. Tough but fair challenges make you want to keep coming back. The height Sony platformers and Naughty Dog as a whole, if they had kept this quality up with sequels they could have beaten Sonic.

The one (admittedly big) downside here is the save system which makes no sense. That and the racism, but it's Naughty Dog so you know to expect a little bit of that going in.

the first good fighting game in over 10 years

The Zelda team's tribute to James Cameron's Avatar. The game looks beautiful and has some creative moments, but the sword shit sucks from the controls to the girl to yet another goofy clown villain. Cool to look at, extremely unfun to play. Huge letdown as a "prequel" to the series. Ninjabread Man level design.

Hard to recommend when you can play Tears of the Kingdom instead.

Link is more badass in this. Whether or not you like this or BOTW more depends on how much of an egghead you are. I'm more of a cool guy than a nerd so it not 100% my thing, but it's definitely worth the $70.

perhaps arkane's best game yet

Controversial art style looks surprisingly great in motion, especially on an OLED TV or Switch OLED. Unlike Resident Evil 2 or Demon's Souls I'm confident the originals will be made available via NSO if you prefer them. Minus a half star for poor online play and Nell asking if you've played Advance Wars before and then saying "oh! well maybe you'll learn something new still" before forcing you into the tutorial anyway.

good vibes, bad gameplay. it was a mistake to give donkey kong the same abilities as his tiny baby partner.

fun and unique with only one or two bad songs

Resident Evil 2 DLC campaign with a great monster design

A perfect sequel. Scenario B and true ending are badass.

Genre-defining classic. Less involved but arguably better paced than the remake. Chris's voice actor sucks so bad, it's great.
