What a beautifully designed game. bigmode

God damn this is a beautiful TRPG with incredible depth, fun combat, delicious food & sexy elves. I definitely slept on this game, almost 100 hours in.

Stellar Blade is just a rhythm game with Sekiro combat & NieR vibes. The OST is calming, Nier-esque ,angelic. One of the most beautiful combat systems ever.

Easy GOTY contender.

Dragons Dogma 2 feels like the world I used to imagine while reading fantasy books as a kid. The cozy open world freedom combined with fantastic combat & an addictive loot/ upgrade system. Going off the deep end in post-game to divine other worldly levels alongside some superb dungeon crawling encounters. It's got a much nicer after taste than other superb but frontloaded RPGs. There’s something about the atmosphere of Dragons Dogma, the perfect darkness, the physical things, such as having to use a lantern after nightfall or getting hit with shock DMG if soaked in water, the wizards and warriors casting a skill for almost 30 seconds straight... it just feels very real & old school. Going on a quest at sundown, surviving a hard fought night, watching the sun come up as you reach the final destination. DD2 might have best magic system in any rpg , prolly the most visually appealing magic in video games, the melee combat is also great. Basically it's a setting I like and the combat seemed like a more appealing dark souls. One of my all time favorites, if not the favorite RPG. The pawn system as a party shtick that I love in stuff like Goblin slayer and berserk & other peak fantasy media. Long hands give + attack range with swords, heavy characters are knocked around less & can pin down enemies (large/small), small characters consume less stamina when climbing enemies, long legs gives +movement speed, etc. so peak. Rant over. Play Dragonsdogma

One of the most beautiful & immersive worlds I’ve ever experienced. Lowkey a masterpiece, such a fun RPG with a great story. Came a long way from launch day. Phantom Liberty DLC is one of the best DLCs of all time, alongside Witcher 3’s expansions.

One of the greatest multiplayer games I’ve ever played tbh. I don’t even play multiplayer. If you’ve played the first game, you know the potential for the future of HD2 is insanity…

Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen was the DND game I’ve always wanted. If it had achieved its full vision, it could’ve been the best RPG of all time. Unparalleled sorcery, goated combat system + an amazing character creator. Pinnacle hidden gem, way ahead of its time.

Comfy open world freedom combined with the fantastic combat and an addictive loot/ upgrade system. Then it going off the deep end in post-game to divine other worldly levels alongside some superb dungeon crawling encounters. It's got a much nicer after taste than many other superb but frontloaded RPGs. Pawn system, insane customization, fun combat, grounded fantasy visual style. I really enjoyed the more traditional fantasy story, which is quite unique on its own while still sounding like out of a fairytale. And the port crystal system is pretty cool once you're able to drop crystals of your own, I can't think of that many open world games that allow you to set up where you want to set your fast travel points!

Legendary. From the moment it starts you know it's special. Beautifully crafted, great audio, a game with soul, purpose and yet somehow makes a world so big worth exploring. A legend reborn from a legend.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth feels like a game I created in a dream when I was a kid. This game is proof that dreams come true. One of the most heavenly crafted games I’ve ever experienced. The perfect battle system: Final Fantasy VII Remake! It is a hybrid of ATB and action based and offers fans of both systems.

FF7R is the perfection of the classic ATB system. It has the most balanced combat system ever; end game utilizes abilities & spells from early on even on hard mode.

I'll die on the hill that FF7R has the best modern FF combat systems by a wide margin and should serve as the basis for future titles.

Very flawed title, but a timeless legendary gem nonetheless. The combat system & party system makes this game a 10 for me, and it makes the problems easy to ignore.
Besides Soulsborne, this is my favorite combat system of all time.

A near perfect action RPG with addicting combat, an ethereal soundtrack & a chill story. Reminds me of the old FF days, riding with a fantastic cast of characters, exploring dungeons & customizing freely. This game is such a breath of fresh air. Cygames 🐐

Childhood favorite, lowkey a masterpiece. Combat was a big janky but story carries.

A flawed action game with some of the worst boss encounters I’ve ever experienced but Jill Valentine is in the game so it’s okay.

It was tense & a bit chaotic at times, playing on Hardcore for the first & only playthru may not have been the best idea but I enjoyed my time with the game. If you’re a die hard RE fan, I’d give this a go on sale.

The pinnacle of final boss design lies here. You must use everything you've learned. Never hesitate. Perfectly tuned in each phase to reward aggression. Masterful.

So close to perfection. One of my favorite FF entries no doubt. The world building, the Jill, the music, Torgal, Cid, What a beautiful ass video game. Despite its imperfections, I find this to be a work of art. My heart will always be with Final Fantasy. A flawed masterpiece.

Now for the critique: Jill needs an entire DLC to herself. Combat is underwhelming, imo a bit more depth in the basic combos would have made the combat damn near perfect.
Side quests & exploring became a chore. I’m more critical on this game, as it wavers from 4 stars to 4 1/2 because I see the potential.
I want a FF16.5 with Jill & Dio.

DLC Wishlist:
Playable Jill Warrick
A lot More Eikons (Leviathan)
