I don't really like Persona 5 but I feel like it doesn't really belong on this list considering it's literally part of the franchise that Shin Megami Tensei is also a part of. I feel like that puts it in a different situation than everything else on here

i wouldn't say p5 fits with the goal stated in the description but for all intents and purposes modern persona is just "we have shin megami tensei at home." it's mechanically and as of 4 and 5 story wise just watered down versions of mainline smt
