Overhated? Yeah
Worst game ever? Nah
Terrible DMC game? Absolutely

Everyone gangsta until Luke becomes FALLEN LUKE

For how short this game is, I was expecting a more "airtight" experience story-wise and action-wise.

While the high points (intro part, rhino fights, final fight) are EXTREMELY high (some of the highest points I've seen yet from a spiderman game), the low points bring the game to a screeching halt (such as finding the samples for songs). There's no excuse to have padding like this for a 6ish hour experience.

While I wish this game was DLC for the original game and not worth $70, I can definitely suggest getting a month of PS+ Extra and getting it knocked out in a few days that way. It's a worthwhile experience still at that price.

I loved playing through this game about myself

A MASSIVE step in the right direction, and hopefully a glimpse at what's to come for the series (and the hopeful revitalization of 3D sonic).

Absolutely not perfect. However, this game was just pure fun pretty much all throughout. Are there some parts that feel cheap? Yes. Is this game buggy? Absolutely. However, I still had an incredibly fun experience throughout.

Also, love the constant Evangelion references :^)

As many others have said, this game has an amazing story but ONLY when it chooses to move it forward at a decent pace. The unnecessary fluff of countless "rackets" completely ruin this game for me. And after 30 hours of playing through the main game and all of the DLC, I ended up hating the game for this very reason and honestly can not really recommend it to anyone.

Heavily hoping for a John Donovan-focused spin off or sequel though. He's one of the best written characters in the franchise

An experience that is much, much longer than it needs to be. I think the world is great with varied terrains that mimics Oregon pretty well. The gameplay is not too bad and the horde mechanic is pretty neat as well.

My god was the story so incredibly mediocre. It started out strong, had about 20 hours of fluff in the middle, and then a decent end of 3rd quarter with a pretty dogshit basic ending that's akin to a Hallmark romance movie.

Can't BELIEVE people were endlessly saying this was a much superior game to The Last of Us Part 2 when that came out.

Despite having very closed ended levels, what's here overall is pretty fun! The bonus levels are really odd though, I actually put down the game after beating the main game, and getting to the 2nd to last bonus level (I'm not backtracking through all of the other levels because you couldn't bother to tell me that the kiwi statues were crucial to find)

Good horror game. Terrible Doom game.

Completed main game and all DLCs and had a fun time throughout!

A surprising little FPS romp that is just pure fun. Ignore a well written plot, ignore deep mechanics and overly complicated game play, this is just a mindless "shut your brain off" FPS at it's finest.

Seeing the evolution of the Serious Sam games up until this point has been astounding. Siberian Mayhem has enthralling game play, an incredible set of weapons that all have purpose, diverse enemy types, and massive battlefields with just hordes and hordes of enemies coming at you all at once.

I think Croteam and Timelock are taking full advantage of going bonkers with Serious Sam's adventures, and I think this direction is perfectly suited for the series. Playing this felt like "Doom 2016 but ridiculous" and I'm not complaining one bit!

A fun experience that I'm sure truly shines when doing couch co op.

However, there is no fucking way I'm going to backtrack any of the levels I missed orbs in just to get the "true ending". Give me the proper ending during my initial playthrough

Decently fun to do a single run in, but having to get all 10 endings just the get the ACTUAL final boss and the "true" ending is incredibly bullshit.

Extremely groundbreaking for the time. Fantastic combat, near perfect normal difficulty, great bosses too.

Story is a bit meh. But I can't help but still be amazed by this game and what all it achieved in 2000-fucking-1!

Probably not a very hot take, but this game plays leagues better than any of the PS2 era god of war games

Insanely addicting gameplay, amazing soundtrack by Machine Grl, great aesthetics and level design too.

Whenever I'd start playing this game, I could easily just snap away 2, 3 or more hours without even breaking a sweat. The gameplay is THAT engaging.

I'm not going to beat the dead horse that's been mentioned over and over as this games primary downfall, but it truly is it's biggest and most obvious weakness
