this is the kind of game you start specifically to play with a family member and then end up getting way too invested in and finishing it before you even got 3 hours in together. not that i would know because thats not what happened but like id recommend this to my elderly mother kind of thing.

suuuuuchh a good take on non-linear storytelling goddd i adored this. i know people think the gameplay is unfulfilling of course with it being a turn-based adventure rpg with a runtime of about 4 hours, but the main point of games like these is the art direction and the element of interactivity itself, rather than fun, and i think it handles it so well. theres a lot more here than just "weird game". you know.

was so fucking out of it and sleep deprived during the majority of my playthrough of this but god they got that aesthetic down so well. everything else is just good. likr what was actually up with ilia. .mmy head hurts its so Good but do perfect at the same time

shockingly i had never played hotline miami despite it being. all the way up my alley. unfortunately i am also a big story > gameplay guy. so uhm. there is a point of frustration for me in which i feel like i am just wasting time.

man. sooooo so so creative, wonderfully cartoonish, well written and all around fun but unfortunately suffers from genuinely some of the most tedious and obtuse game design ive ever seen, coupled with some ridiculously jank platforming controls. in a way it feels like it was entirely intended to be that way but god was this hard to push through. fuck.

needed this fix...will never get over how pokemon manages to pull being so underwhelming off so well. love you forever...

its easy with these types of games to just go "its peak" and leave it at that but thats generally because they just simply are "peak". love and peace #5evar.
