this is an idea i thought of when making my other list about my favorite artists that sample video games. in the note i have some of my favorite featured tracks

regardless of how you feel about the cube and combo levels you know the guest tracks from those levels are such good additions to the ost, on my my first playthroughs of this game they were the biggest things that made me wanna keep playing

crazy taxi is one of those games i wish i liked a little more and played more often, but every time i do come back every once in a while and open the game to hear all i want it sets such a perfect vibe that makes me know i'm gonna squeeze a pretty fun 30 minutes of gaming out of my play session

i get that they couldn't get heavenly star in any of the ports after the wii version, but man people who didn't play the wii version have no clue what they're missing out on when you walk into a majority of the game's stores and start browsing their stuff with this on in the background, this shit is infectious and i love it

whole soundtrack is done by machine girl, and i can't talk about this game without mentioning that because it really just pairs so well with this game and to this day im still frequently listening to the level themes and adding them to playlists, i don't really even know if i have select favorite songs from this ost because i think the whole thing is good but i'll limit myself

im a tony hawk poser but i do plan on playing the games eventually and they will probably get added to this list, but just know that i understand and really appreciate the cultural relevance of superman by goldfinger
this and 2 are another case like bomb rush cyberfunk where this is just a gathering of a lot of different artists putting their stuff in a game, and it makes for a damn good soundtrack with a strong sense of identity

i still have yet to play hi-fi rush for myself but every time i listen to number girl on spotify i see that under the "discovered on" section of their page the hi-fi rush ost is always there and im like huh, i bet the rest of the soundtrack is pretty good then and then im like man i still really need to play this game

this one is weird because to my understanding a lot of the licensed songs used in official taiko releases are covers but i dont really care about getting into the nitty gritty since it's my list, i just like playing the anime songs and some of the vocaloid stuff in these games so i figured why not throw it in
i don't know if id say fortnite festival has any songs i'd call my favorite but i do think it's funny that they have like mr brightside in here and i can buy it as an emote and start singing mr brightside on someone after i kill them. this mode is also continually being added onto with new songs every week im pretty sure so im sure eventually they'll have something in here that i actually really like
i haven't listened to this full ost and i've only played the first few levels from this game, but i know the ost is done by anamanaguchi and the songs i do know from this ost are pretty good
