This game gets a bad reputation, but I think that's somewhat undeserved, because the story, world, and music are all so central to the FF experience later on that it's worth it for that alone. It's very unbalanced - the Blood Sword trivialized the final boss - and sometimes the maps are beyond frustrating - I took a few month break because Pandaemonium gave me a headache. However, it's interesting, it has great music, and it's the starting point for many FF tropes later on. For that, I suggest checking it out.

Screw those Magic Tactics/Weapon Tactics achievements, though.

The Pixel Remaster does a great job with this game--it looks and sounds great. A great game to pick up if you are a fan of Final Fantasy and want to learn where a lot of the references, tropes, and themes got their beginning. Not particularly hard as far as boss fights/combat goes, but can be confusing because of lack of direction with quests. Just use a guide, imo!

Getting 100% Steam achievements took me about 12 hours total.

rotted my brain, caused me pain, caused me joy, 10/10 recommend

Cute little brain off numbers go up type management game. It could be a tiny bit buggy, but it was entirely graphical, so nothing that bothered me.

The story is short and simple and a bit generic for this sort of game, but the characters are charming, and I appreciated the easy integration of LGBT characters.

A sweet little game worth picking up. 10 hours got me through all of the story and full upgrades, but there's still more to do, so I'll be spending some more time with it for achievements.

For all it's bugginess and glitches, SV is excellent. The new formula is fun and the story is one of the best in a Pokémon game. I wish GF and Nintendo would take more time with these releases as opposed to shipping them out at breakneck speed, because I think this could be the best Pokémon game yet if only more time and care had been given to performance.

A decent little puzzle game. It was good for a few hours of entertainment, but nothing special. I'd recommend picking it up on sale, and only if you can play with mouse and keyboard - Steam Deck feels very bad to play on because of the controls and the resolution.

Some other thoughts:
The plant identification is a fun concept; however, by the end, you have so many plants crammed on the shelves it becomes a bit tedious to find what you're looking for. Had I organized the shelves as I went, I wouldn't have had this problem, but I didn't do that, so it was chaos at the end.

The story is nothing special. Vaguely interesting, but not really unique or compelling enough to keep me interested. The puzzles pick up that slack, however.

A bit light on content. I think there's a great core concept here that could've been expanded on, specifically the map travel bits. Still, fun enough for a few hours of puzzles. I can't see myself replaying it, however.

A day later and I'm still thinking about this game. A lot of horror games have called themselves successors to Silent Hill, but Signalis is truly deserving of the title. Atmospheric, touching, creepy, emotional. It really hits all of the major beats that make Silent Hill work.

My only gripe about the game is that the controls are occasionally frustrating, but that wasn't enough to turn me off starting a second run through today already.

I really enjoyed this. The characters are fun (except Iris) and the story is interesting enough that it had me determined to figure out what happens all the way to the end. It's rife with anime tropes, and it can be cringey at times. Every time the police did insane shady things like "drug up a suspect and invade their dreams" made me grimace. But overall I liked this and I'll check out the sequel some day for sure.

Mizuki is my daughter, I would protect her with my life. I honestly liked her ending more than the "true" ending.

Played on iOS, although that's not an option here.

A true roguelike, this is a fun little game that was definitely worth the purchase on mobile, where it works wonderfully as a quick game to pick up and futz around with whenever you have a little downtime. Fairly replayable, but once you unlock everything, there's no reason to go back to it.

It was fun while it lasted. I can see myself picking it up again some day just to futz around, but I haven't been able to get hooked since Inazuma released, so I think it's safe to say I've fallen off and shelved it.

Eula still best girl, though.

Been playing FFXIV since ARR launched and it remains my favorite MMO. Endwalker was an excellent addition to the game, although I find that the MSQ, while good, was lacking in some areas. The downside of trying to wrap up every loose end since ARR is that it sometimes feels rushed. But I like it, and the patches so far are good as well.

I like the puzzles and find the gameplay fun. I do NOT like the story, or how Atlus handles it's characters. Bleh.

It's Danganronpa.

Overstayed it's welcome toward the end, but still enjoyable for the most part. I liked the OST a lot!

2008

Still to this day Pepper Steak will randomly pop in my head unprompted.

The art style is nice, but the game itself is terribly boring, and couldn't hold my interest for long at all.
