Sega you done it again, you created a mixed bag that has more positives than negatives but man this update has been interesting.
Playing as knuckles, tails, and amy again in a 3d space since sonic 06 was a fun time, however they are much more limited compared to sonic unless you really go out of your way to grind and even then, they're extremely underpowered for the harder versions of the regular bosses and a maxed out sonic still has trouble with them however in terms of exploring and platforming they are pretty fun.
The aspect that I personally enjoyed were the new cyberspace levels, idk why but damn they cooked with some of the levels until you stop and have to do precise jumping because sonic has wacky ass air physics for jumping.
For some reason sega decided to make the final horizon surprisingly hard for no reason
Personally I didn't mind the challenge and it was pretty fun at times until the game with one of the most brainless parry systems ever created wants you to perfect parry every attack while having one of the most strict time limits in the game
You basically have to be a fucking expert for some these challenges. (heh thankfully i'm such a gamer that i only failed at the final trial only like 8 times)

alright this is a great sonic collection and still like the best sonic collection they created
this is how i played the classic trilogy and man i had so much fun playing it, this has a special place in my heart
