2023

Beautiful short game that uses cooking to teach us more about Indian cuisine and culture in a fun way while still having a compelling story in it's short run time.

2021

Short game that i only played for achievements. Nothing much to garner from here, although i could tell that the writing was at least decent.

A beautiful puzzle platformer with a stunning artstyle and a surprisingly great OST.

The controls being a bit finicky might lead to some unearned deaths, but the vast majority of the puzzles and challenges had clear solutions.

This little game didn't have any right to go as hard as it goes. Lots of tracks with tons of fun hot wheels cars. While the tracks can get repetitive and the gameplay is simple in itself, there's a lot of fun to be had here. That's without mentioning the other complementary modes like Track Builder or the personalization of your room-.

This is has to be one of the games with the most wild and confusing design decisions ever.

Most people, due to the way the game is structured at the beginning, won't ever see some of the greatest moments this game has to offer, specially since it takes around 10 matches for things to start happening. I totally get the low scores, Capcom hid some of the best moments in the game after hours that people simply won't get to because they will drop it after a few matches.

Wild PVE Co-op battles, fun kits that complement each other and some good old fun dino horde action that could have been more of a hit if Capcom had reduced the requirements of getting to the best parts of it.

Bit better than Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight due to the stronger cast and better setlist overral. Still nothing to lose your mind over and worth getting only if it's heavily discounted.

The one were actual budget was put into with a serviceable story and great moments between the characters. The setlist was awesome and the ratio betweent remixes and the original tracks was perfect.

While the songs were great, it also has too few sometimes if you don't count DLC. The costumes are really funny bust most of them are unlocked late in the game.

Alongside these points, the story is a nothing burger and it's just an excuse towards your next unlock.

However, it's worth pointing out that the modifiers can make the experience of each song quite different and the ALL NIGHT difficulty was pretty difficult in general.

Wanted to like this one but the combat isn't quite there and there's no weight to your attacks. This isn't helped by the jankiness and unpolish feeling,.

Go play Inscryption as blind as possible. Anything i might share about it might ruin the experience for you but at least be aware that is a card game and you might not like one of those. Fantastic.

Pretty standard rhythm that takes advantage of the OST being one of the best parts of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Playing some of these songs is a total delight. H

However, some of the more calm songs and the vast majority of the Disney songs don't mesh well with the gameplay, which makes some of the tracks kinda awkard.

The minimal story added here is, as always nonsensical, and you are better off watching that part outside of the game unless you are a big mega fan of the franchise.

Logging this one after my first completion of the boss. It's a very good roguelite with great class diversity, which leads to every run being very different and unique.

On the other hand, it pales in comparison with other roguelites like Hades, in terms of history, or pure gameplay and itemization, such as Dead Cells. Still will be trying to put a dent in this full completion on the background between games.

2022

One of the most overrated games in the last couple of years. The fact that this got nominated for Game of the Year instead of some other titles from 2022 like Immortality or Pentiment is hilarious.

That being said, it's a really pretty game with a great atmosphere and fantastic art direction. While the gameplay is nothing more than rudimentary platforming, the gimmick they wanted to go for, being a cat, was realized beautifully.

Short and sweet prelude to the Escape mode. Having 3 players made the fights funnier compared to the main game and the upgraded skills ended up being very fun for some specific characters.

The first half of this game really pales in comparison to the second half.

While the pacing of the first half is kinda boring at times and the sidequests are terrible at the beginning, it's a carefully laid trap to get you invested in this world and it's characters.

By the time you are done with the game, you will be invested in the situation of every single one of the NPC's that live in the Hideaway.

The spectacle in these boss fights is incredible and will have your jaw on the floor multiple times. These fights are tied to a great combat system that at first looks very barebones but keeps getting crazier.

As you can see, this is the rare case where the game is not frontloaded and it actually keeps getting better as time goes on.

The only negative is how the performance doesn't really keeps up with the game, while for the most part in combat it maintains 60 fps, the drops during exploration are egregious sometimes. On the other hand, the graphics mode and its motion blur implementation are pretty bad for such a beautiful game.

At the end of the day, there are games this year that are fundamentally better this year but I doubt I will remember them as much as this one.
