2022

Expected a bit more from this one while still liking it a lot. The combat is almost there with my favorite parry based games but it quite doesn't reach those heights. I was a bit worried at the beginning because the combat felt pretty bad during the tutorial but it got way better.

The most surprising and refreshing feature were some of the combat encounters having visually stunning and striking set pieces (Club, Museum) that differentiate the title from just being a Kung Fu Movie best hits while also having some tough boss battles that make you employ all the tools you learned during the game.

Probably my favorite Forza game since FM4. While is entirely dedicated to circuit racing and missing some of the city tracks, the care put into the driving gameplay is second to none.

Driving in this game while at night or while it's raining is a sublime experience that I was always happy to get to. Obviously, the car leveling doesn't gel that well with the gameplay and I am not a fan of the approach of earning cars slowly compared to the Horizon style. Excited for the future of this game.

I didn't think this game was going to be this good after both hearing that it was made in 6 months and after playing Ishin and being a bit cold on it but this game turned out to be so much fun. From the two fighting styles that feel fresh, to the substories being integrated with the Akame Network creating an addictive gameplay loop, this is a masterclass of creating a spin off title.

The story was surprisingly good and better than even some of the main games, leading to one of the most memorable moments in the franchise from another perspective and an ending that I didn't expect that made me tear up a bit. RGG doesn't miss.

I really tried to find ways to lower the score of this one and I just couldn't. Such a great remake that made some of the worst parts of Dead Space (like the Boss fights or the Asteroid Shooting section) actually worth playing while introducing more story beats such as the side missions that dig deeper into the lore of the title.

While it still is a pretty linear title, introducing a dash of Metroidvania and backtracking with the aforementioned Side Missions or the Security Clearance doors, it made the Ishimura even more of a character and a fantastic setting than ever before.

Just incredible. One of the most unique ideas in recent years that plays incredible well with the notions of space and worlds inside worlds. While the puzzles at the beginning seem quite easy and repetitive, the possibilities and combinations that are created by the abilities you unlock are fascinating

While i ended up finishing this one and one point was enjoying it fairly, it has a pretty bad story with bad writing.

Some of the set pieces are cool but it's impossible to not compare it to the Arkham Series, specially with the middle combat that is lacking a ton of the abilities that you get way too late into the campaign.

Only try if you have some friends to waste time with.

While not as bombastic as the Hot Wheels additions, is a fun new way to play centered on Rally with new radios, new cars and new events with new rewards to earn. If you want more Forza Horizon, this will give you more Forza Horizon with new twists and a fun progression system.

Pretty graphics and great sound design is the only thing this game has going for it. From a clunky combat system, to lack of enemy variety to one of the worst cliffhangers in recent memory that leads to probably the worst DLC ending o recent memory, this title is a total disappointment that pales in comparison to the original Dead Space titles (even 3) and it's an embarrassment to the remake of this year.

God game where you can still tell this was made off of the bones of a ps3 game. The combat is one of my least favorite in the series although it gets better as you put some time and upgrades in two of the trees, Swordman and the most fun one, Wild Dancer. Wasn't a fan of Gunman and Brawler.

While the story is really good, it is also quite predictable in most instances regarding the main twist. Alongside that, some characters feel wasted like Saigo that I wished were used more since their actors/3d models haven't been a part of the modern franchise for a while.

Great trilogy package for these 3 great games. While I didn't remember most of the third game on this replay, the final trial not only wrapped the whole game together but it was a great send off for the trilogy.

You could have fooled someone easily by telling them this is the latest From Software title as Lies of P is the closest that these soulslikes not made by From have gotten to their formula. The best part of this game are the weapons, the storyline (with a great book at the end) and how optimized it is. However, the level design pales when compared with anything made in Bloodborne/Sekiro/Dark Souls as most of the levels are quite easy to traverse and not visually striking. Alongside this flaw, the enemy design gets a bit repetitive and the game doesn't have as many bosses as your regular Souls game, which correlates with the shorter duration in comparison to the from titles. In any case, this Is an easy recommendation if you wish to play an alternative souls game.

This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year. While it achieved success in some areas, it also faltered in others. Let's start with the good: great combat, beautiful graphics, diverse biomes and great enemy diversity. However, the writing is not as good in developing the characters and build the world, the backtracking can be brutal and the requirements to achieve the true ending can be quite annoying, including a collectible hunt that is quite tiring.

Dropped this one after a particularly annoying boss while I was pushing through it.

While has some really fun combat, the repetitive nature of the rest of the package leads to boredom really quickly.

This has to be one of the most nitpicked titles I have ever seen. The critiques launched at this game for every single minimum detail are crazy considering how some other games get easy passes for their flaws.

Finally Bethesda created a main quest that interlaces perfectly with their gameplay and it's a must complete. Compared to their other titles, you don't want to skip the main quest as it completes a perfect gameplay loop for it.

As always, the faction storylines are some of the best content and , thankfully, compared to Fallout these ones are stellar and have some incredible twists and creative moments. Great recommendation towards doing Ryujin Industries and Crimson Fleet Storylines.

Anyways, I can understand how this game is not clicking with some due to the slow start and the complete paradigm shift of how a Bethesda game is played, which is why i would recommend focusing on the main and Faction storylines which take you to as many planets and systems as possible and in turn, those will lead you to new unexpected experiences on a random passenger ship, a new cave on a settled planet or some innocent conversations heard throughout the cities.

This was a really fun experience with a killer combat and deck building system. While the characters are written in a way that's almost teenage drama like, I ended up being charmed by their portrayals. Sadly, for me the game had several crashes after decent hours of play that ended up being annoying alongside graphics not being the best and finding that the team ran out of budget towards the end of the project with a tease for a sequel that might not evenr happen.
