Finally, after over a year of patches and an anime to get people to play the game just so they can continue the story in their own way, we finally have yet another sandbox game that's ok. I was lucky I was a platinum member of Playstation Plus and got the trial for free before deciding that while it was ok, I wasn't going to stick around for the over 20-hour story for $60. Maybe for my birthday or Christmas.

Why the fuck is the big selling point that makes this a sequel not even being released for half a year?!?

Edit: Hey, they finally fixed it...and it's just Overwatch one with a more scummy marketplace. Hoorah.

Edit 2: And they canceled the main reason this game exists. Hooray...

The mobile controls mixed with Shovel Knight's gameplay style really don't gel with the quick rapid gameplay that Nitrome is known for.

Definitely is leaps and bounds better than the original game, but man, this is going to get me blasted, but, I don't think I would put this in the top 10 best Mario games ever made.

Alright, rippin' off Parappa, that's where we are, I want you to show me, if you'll go far!

OH LOOK! WHAT GREAT SOURCE FOR POOP!

SEE THEM SHITPOSTING, ON YOUTUBE!

HOW I LOVE THOSE SILLY SILLIES!

HOW THEY MAKE ME LAUGH LIKE WILLY!

I GOT A LITTLE SECRET, THAT WILL MAKE THE FANS SHOCK AND SCREAM!

IT'S A NASTY LITTLE GAME, IT'S CALLED THE ORIGINAL I. M. MEEN!

DDR break

THIS GAME WAS MADE TO TEACH YOU, ALL ABOUT THE LESSONS OF ENGLISH.

BUT WHEN YOU POP IN THIS GAME, THE CONTROLS AND CAMERA LEAVE YOU IN ANGUISH!

AND THE BAD GAMEPLAY OF I! M! MEEN!

SLOW TURNING MAKES IT BORING, WHILE THE ENEMIES' ATTACKS ARE SOARING!

THE BULLSHIT GAMEPLAY OF I! M! MEEEEEEEEEEEEN!

More likely to light your console on fire than light the world on fire, but if you haven't played the original game and don't mind reference humor, you could do a lot worse than this.

Just a unique and fun time with some good beats. A bit short in the story mode, but the challenge mode is where the real game is at.

Alone, these two games are just 9/10s. Together, they make up for each other's shortcomings and become a full 10/10.

This is definitely just a game you can play while listening to something else. It's just a calm and relaxing game with you making friends with Disney's lineup of characters. That said, this is still just a 6/10 for now until we see just how greedy this can be once any potential in-game currency shops pop up, and become they have Mother Gothel here, but NOT Rapunzel! They don't even have EVE for Wall-E! Give us the best Disney princess and best girlfriend robot for Wall-E, and don't be greedy with the in-game shop, then we'll talk.

A part of me wishes this was just DLC for Splatoon 2, but I do see enough value in here to be worth the purchase if you have the cash to spare. The game itself is still just as fun as Splatoon 2, and the Hero campaign was pretty fun and had some surprisingly funny and dark moments sprinkled throughout the storyline. Wonder just how this is gonna lead into the DLC stories...

If I really wanted to, I think I could beat it, but then again, slamming my head against a wall trying to beat the 9 rounds in Pac-Man so I can get an achievement to platinum the game seems more fulfilling in my opinion.

I definitely see the appeal of this, with you having to plan where you want to put your tiles down for the hero to pass over. However, what ultimately fails this game in my opinion is that it's just lackluster and easily repetitive once you realize where you could put everything down to maximize its benefits, which is pretty easy to figure out. I guess Devolver Digital is a real love them or hate them type of studio. Unfortunately, I think I'm more in the "don't really care for them" type of camp.

This is a charming idea done dirty by its poor controls, tedious 100% completion ideas, and overstaying its welcome for a novel idea, especially when trying to get to 100%. There are some good ideas here, like the notes giving insight to the characters, the unlocks encouraging you to try to get certain conditions, and the races, but it's not enough to pull this game up into something I would recommend.

This managed to usurp Pac-Man World 2 as my favorite Pac-Man game. Every bug and issue from the first game has been ironed out and fixed. The Anubis boss is a lot fairer, you can just hold down the shoot button on the Galaga boss, bosses that were too easy before now have new attacks, bosses that were boring before have been revamped to be more intense, camera and gameplay controls are smoother...really, it was like they just watched NitroRad's video on Pac Man World and fixed all his gripes. I'm not a fan of how the power pellet now turns you giant and changes the music, but it's still fun. An easy recommandation.
