@BlazingWaters oh yea I'm sure it'll be fine and the pre-release footage I've seen looks good, but given that it's a game that was originally on ps4 (and ps3) that's being remade for ps4 (and ps5) it probably fits the bounds of this list

I feel like some of these have a good reason for being brought over. Yeah the remakes flubbed some stuff but comparing dead space or tlou both being very accessible, with a remaster even vs games trapped on ps3 with shoddy emulation for a long time is different. Still fair to blame them for not doing ports but at least some of these are new worldwide (replicant, ishin,)

I thought Nier Replicant was better good, and it's nice to have the brother version available in the west. Definitely agree on the Bluepoint remakes thought, and I dread the SH2 remake.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

A lot of big titles here. I think you have to dig into the weeds of the 6/10s with no active following to capture the scale of the issue.
The trend of remaking fairly iffy PS2 platformers (Kao the Kangaroo, TY the Tasmanian Tiger, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, etc.) has been the most mystifying to me, but I guess the user reviews show that there is a very appreciative audience for that claptrap. Half of Microids' catalogue are questionable remakes of games from 20 years ago that have no following.

@87th Apparently Kao is a reboot, and Sphinx and Ty are just remastered ports (no idea, had to look these up). SpongeBob definitely qualifies though, and so do Microids' dismal House of the Dead and XIII remakes

modern warfare 2019 is not a remake lol, it's simply a reboot, it's like saying ninja gaiden 2004 deserves to be on this list

I plead for forgiveness for my Modern Warfare ignorance, I thought they were just remaking those now. The GameCube Resident Evil doesn't belong on this list for a number of reasons

The purist in me wants to say the Crash N.Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy are superfluous, at the very least N.Sane Trilogy is straight up objectively inferior to the original due to the screwed up platforming. Though apparently the Reignited version of Spyro 3 is still very buggy.

Yeah those ones were on the line for me but I feel like the pertinent question is "should they have just done a slightly remastered port instead" and I think the answer for those two is yes.

If they take Max Payne 1 and 2 and make them look and play like 3, I am prepared to call that not superfluous

While I do disagree with the Spyro Trilogy, Mario & Luigi Games and Luigi’s Mansion being on here I think Ratchet 2016, No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise, Klonoa Wii, and Rayman Revolution are good choices
