Final Fantasy Ranking
Final Fantasy games that I have played ranked. Out of mainline game I still need to finish 4, 5, 6, 10-2, Lightning Returns. Opinion could change upon replays since ive only played most once.

the first grand FF, good game, I like Cecil Kain and Rydia but the rest of the cast are a bit boring. Golbez also great villain.
Best of the NES trilogy and introduced the job system, doesnt do much else for me though
ehhhhh. Only good thing about this game is that final dungeon theme cause my golly is it good (PR version anyway). Other than that this game is just kinda weird and not very enjoyable

First game of the series so its pretty basic, i respect it for starting the series and may check out the other versions some day
i enjoy this game to an extent, just wish story wasnt all over the place and enemy variety was better.
My first proper FF game so I have a soft spot for it. Characters carry this games story hard.
fun combat, lacking in almost every other department sadly. I can see this game being much more fun in coop
This is vibes the game. I fuck with it a lot. Also Caius peak FF villain
again, great story here with some really powerful moments but just like with Heavensward it suffers severe pacing issues which are even worse here.
Also peak storytelling but not quite as peak as Shadowbringers
hands down the best modern FF game and every FF game moving forward should use this as its blueprint
Missed opportunity. Wish they took this chance to implement all the stuff they had to cut due to PSPs UMD disc size since its no longer an issue but oh well i guess. Regardless what is here though is still a vast improvement over the original
Peak FF storytelling. If there were a game with 14s story mixed with 7Rs combat and graphical quality it would be by far one of the best.
Honestly another game i need to revisit since its been way too long. I remember enjoying the combat and world but having no idea what was going on. So this game will probably go higher / lower in the future
Really like this one, provided a really compelling story and introduced one of my favourite FF characters in general which is Estinien. Just suffers from MMO pacing issues which are fixed for the most part in Shadowbringers onwards
I think this games graphics hold up REALLY WELL for a PSP game, other than that its remaster has made this one pretty redundant
Least fav of the PS1 trilogy but still pretty great. If it werent for Lagunas segments though this would prolly be much lower.
Extremely high highs which sadly highlight how low the lows. Pacing issues galore which put even 14s Heavensward and Stormblood to shame. Wish it was a much more condensed experience cause then it would be much higher.
I want to like this one more than I do but most of it just felt like a slog to get through.
probably deserves to be a bit higher but i have little to no memory of what ARR was even like and i have no plans to ever revisit it

This should probably be lower but it provided the building blocks that made Rebirth so great and I still love it
imma basic bitch what can i say, favourite cast of characters out of any piece of media, combat that feels like it has endless experimentation, also a story that just really resonates with me. THIS is what Final Fantasy is all about.
