One of the things I love most about Zelda is deep lore and this game excellently covers the origins of the story. I love how it also manages to take a lot of concepts from previous games and blend them together. One downside however is there's a lot of backtracking. Overall though this is now one of my new favorite Zelda games.

A hack and slash spin off of a fighting game. Pretty repetitive but fun especially with multiplayer. I like that they chose a lore heavy segment of the story to base it on (Siegfried's journey of slowly turning into Nightmare).

A fusion of Persona 5 and Warriors style gameplay sounded just alright on paper but they way they blended together is surprisingly very great. It's almost like they were meant to be together in a way.

As for story it's a nice continuation that introduces several great new characters. If you liked P5 I would recommend this if you want more of it.

A downsides is it is a bit repetitive and has a smaller roster than most Warriors type games although each character stands out a lot so it's fine.

It's free (besides cosmetics), multiplayer, and has a somewhat interesting story but I feel it could've been made better. There's just so many awkward and slow cutscenes that interrupt gameplay.

I really wish I could rank this game higher because the story especially near the last two endings is AMAZING but the gameplay is HORRENDOUS making it impossible to genuinely want to recommend this to anyone.

It's free, simple, and fun with friends. That's all their really is to say about it TBH.

The level system is quite unique amongst RPGs. The more you use a certain command the stronger it gets so you level up stats individually based on your own play style. It does take some luck sometimes but I enjoyed how unique it was. This version of the game fixes a few problems the original version had gameplay wise but it is still a noticably older game in some aspects.

The story isn't insane but is definitely one of the better NES game stories. There's some nice NPCs although the main party could've been fleshed out more. This version of the game did give them some more personality but I wish they did a bit more.

This version of the game comes with the Souls of Rebirth extra storyline which is about all the major characters who died in the main story fighting the main villain in the underworld which is a insanely cool concept. They reused a lot of assets and it's fairly short so I think it could've been handled a bit better but it's definitely a nice addition.

If you're going to play a version of Final Fantasy 2 I definitely recommend this version.

A very good start for the series. Nice story albeit a bit simple, not a lot of grinding, and was the first RPG to have a class system. It's definitely a important game historically and better than most NES RPGs. The downside is it's easy to get lost tracking down a bunch of items later on. At the time of writing this it is now my 3rd favorite NES game. If you like old school RPGs it's for sure worth playing.

Very unique level design and a story that's a bit more interesting than other main Mario games due to the Luma lore. I think what holds it back is speed. Mario feels slower than past entries, the tutorial is boring to get through, etc.

It has quickly become my favorite game in the series when it comes to story. Great world building and a good portion of the cast was really enjoyable. Ike is now my favorite protagonist in the series and I can't wait to play it's sequel. I'd love if this got a enhanced port with some quality of life changes. Not that it aged bad because it aged very good but I do think some changes could make it perfect.

Nice free DLC. Good story that feels like it relates to the theme of the main game and new interesting gameplay mechanics but the difficulty spike is a bit much for my liking and I wish it didn't suddenly require a bunch of collectables from other levels to progress.

The real mountain was in our heart.

A great game about fighting one's inner demon while scaling a mountain. Great difficulty progression with optional levels that are very hard. Overall a very good game to play in a day or two. It's also great for speedruning. Free DLC adds extra story and introduces many new gameplay mechanics.

Only reason I'm not rating higher is because it is of course pretty short and not something I think I'd be able to sink that many hours into.

Hype:
Dragon Quest is my favorite series so this was easily my favorite fighter reveal.

Importance of inclusion:
This series is also very important as it inspired the entire JRPG genre. Many if the other DLC fighters (Joker, Steve, Sephiroth, Aegis, and Sora) are from series inspired by DQ and likely wouldn't exist without it.

Multiple protagonists:
Having 4 protags that represent some of the most popular games in the series is great. 4, 8, and 11 are among my favs so I'm really glad they were chosen and 3 is arguably the most important RPG from a inspiration standpoint so the choice was good.

Fighter gameplay:
Gameplay wise their normal attacks are nice but not too crazy. The real special thing is command select which is so crazy fun. They probably have the most amount of attacks in the entire game because of it.

Other representation:
The stage is good. The background is very detailed but the playable layout is kinda basic. Music is underwhelming. Having iconic monsters as spirits is nice although there could've been more.

This platformer is incredibly underappreciated. Easily one of my favorites. It's a lot like Kirby in many ways (cute platformer where the protagonist has transformations) but has a lot of its own charm that makes it stick out. Both gameplay and story are nice. I wish we got localizations of the previous games in the series and that the series continued past this one.

Horror games aren't really my thing but something about this I just really enjoyed. Maybe it's the side multiplayer mode? Maybe it's the cool stranded ghost ship setting? Maybe it's something else? Honestly not sure but it's definitely my favorite Resident Evil.
