I got 1 and 2 at the same time on sale, and I didn't like 1 much, but I figured I should try a little of 2 since I already had it. Based on just the prologue, it seems like the same basic problem of 1 is present in 2: everything is just slow. It all unfolds at a snail's pace.

This has some neat updates compared to the first game.

I played this on the advice of a podcaster who claimed that this is what everyone would talk about instead of Chrono Trigger, if it had ever made its way into the English world. Well, I sure don't think so. This game is more "consistently not bad" than I'd say it's "good".

The worst thing that I can say about this game is that when the scenes are set to "autoplay" the pause between each line reading is just a hair too long. Other than that, this is a completely solid game all the way through. Cool sights, cool sounds, very neat system for leveling up, and you can New Game+ the whole thing.

Yet another PlayStation game with a cool story buried behind gameplay that I don't really want to do.

I definitely remember commanding monsters and drawing spells, but I don't remember beating it.

I played a little bit of this, and it was okay, but then I just listened to the Mages and Murderdads podcast to get the story summary from them and called it good.

I'm taking off half a star, compared to my rating for Red, because of the annoying "what you did last time" thing every time you turn on the game.

Fun minigames, but dag those gym leader castle things are pretty hard.

This is mostly just a small iteration on the first game, but since the first game is great that's a good thing.

I think this is "Camp", and I think that it's perfect. I'm not very good at the game itself, but other than that everything is exactly as it should be.

This is solidly in the top 3 video games on the Game Boy. Without a doubt.

I really liked this one. The wall painting thing is cool, and all of the items are neat enough when you use them.

I remember this game being basically totally fine and pleasant to play.

Visually, this is the ugliest that pokemon has ever been. Also, the story is pretty stupid. On the other hand, there's a zebra with a lightning bolt mowhawk, so it's not 100% bad.
