Giving this a generous score, this was very much my kind of thing! While the discussion of the subject matter feels somewhat contrived and pedestrian, I think that this is really good. Being able to hold the switch in portrait mode and navigate the phone using the touch screen makes this game feel just like you've picked up someone elses phone that you don't know how to use, and the frustration comes from not knowing how to use the phone, not the controls being bad. The way that the story is locked off so you don't read/find out things at the wrong time feels great, I was impressed with how many times it surprised me in the short runtime, I had a very good time with this!

Surprisingly upsetting! It is an indie game about depression, and it is a pretty good one. it is 'neat' the ending is 'good' and if it was any longer I would think it was a worse game

Hell yeah! This controls SO well and it sounds great. Just lovely stuff really, I was rolling my eyes as soon as it became clear that it was about depression, and the metaphor was cringing me out quite a bit but you know what? It won me over in the end. I think that the hotel level was probably my least favourite? or maybe the one with the wind I do not know. Anyway, I played this game really quickly and had a good time with it, it's a good game. :) if you speedrun this or you collect the strawberries then you are mad

Althought I have marked this as 'completed' i did not get the 'true' ending, I may come back to it one day but I had such an amazing time with the main game that I didn't want my love to sour. I feel like this review could very easily just be me describing the entire game and then going ''and that was fucking great" EXCEPT for the clock tower level with the flying medusa heads. The mood of the whole thing, the rhythm of the movement and the combat is so deliberate and every single hit you land feels special. one of the only other games to make me feel this way about combat is yes, you guessed it, Tears of the Kingdom. No, of course not, I'm not insane. It's Dark Souls, I was talking about Dark Souls.

I absolutely love moving between the different sections of the castle, they mostly feel incredibly distinct especially with their amazing soundtracks. The whole game feels ridiculously cool, but also very silly, and I love it wholeheartedly. I love this game so much that I want to play all of the other Castlevania games, but am hesitant to in case I don't love thme as much as this one. I'm going to fight that instinct because I love this so so so much and I'm going to play castelvania and then bloodstained thanks bye x

when I first started playing this game with my friend I was like "this is neat, but like, I think it will get old". we finished the game and one of us asked "want to do it again?" and then we started playing the game from the beginning again, and are now reaching the end of our third(?) playthrough. I also bought and played all of the dlc levels which range from mildly disappointing to great. This game just feels so nice to play! If you like Castlevania, this is like the junk food equivalent of Castlevania. It is lovely.

PRETTY GOOD. HAS LOTs of issues but they are made much more manageable by the fact that this is a castlevania game, you can dash left or right from the start of the game and you only get faster throughout the game. I never really got a sense of how the castle connects in this one as opposed to SOTN where I felt like I did kind of know the castle. This one I just didn't, like I already said. Anyway, by the end of the game I was doing like over 100 damage and it was great.

2018

If you like the legend of Zelda the link wakes up then you should buy and play this game. It's fun, I smiled, I liked the puzzles and it was a good time. Post review

Better than the main game, probably!

I read my review of the base game before playing this expansion and then when I was playing the expansion I was like "damn, I was right. The jump button is the best bit." Other than that this is literally just a bit more Ashen, it does nothing really new. It's fine!

Snore-i and the spill of the piss

I guess this was my first Roguelike? lite? light? idk! anyway this was quite good fun, especially good to play with my WIFE. I liked the overworld and zelda-y stuff!!!! the second area of the overworld sucked majorly so I did not enjoy that bit and it made me forget I had this game. Glad I finished it ! ! !! !

GOOD game where you jump and swing and roll and I had fun!

Good afternoon,

Thanks for your email. This game is 'good' and I enjoyed playing it with my wife. I think its fun to jump around and attack enemies and dying was funny. I especially liked it when the areas linked together like in a metroidcastlevania game. UNFORTunately this game could really do with a map, but instead it doesn't have one and that makes it stink a little bit
