I'd been excited about this game coming out as soon as I heard that it was like the trading quest in Link's Awakening. This game is like the trading quest in Link's Awakening except it is much more vague ! Sometimes too vague ! But the style and mood of this game is just so cozy and lovely that I didn't mind looking it up if I got really confused, and I don't think that happened very often. I felt proud whenever I successfully made a trade, especially early on. I will definitely play this again sometime, and since it's so obtuse I will probably not remember what trades to do so it will be like playing it for the first time. Was not prepared for the ridiculously depressing backstory though, wha tthe fuck

Hello. I had heard for many years that Skyward Sword was 'bad' or 'not good' or 'cringe' and I had recently heard from other sources that it was good actually. My fiance played it when it came out on the Wii and liked it a lot at the time, although I did fight the final boss for her because she could not do it! Pretty early on into playing Skyward Sword HD I was having a good time, I was waiting for it to get bad. I waited a long time for it to get bad. There was a point in the latter half of the game where I thought it had gotten bad with some tedious fetch quests, and I was expecting the rest of the game to be backtracking to all three main areas and just retreading old ground, literally. Then after the fetch quests it went back to new stuff. Good stuff. I don't think it ever got 'bad' ! ! ! ! ! !

It's quite clear that the motion controls got in the way of what this is, which is a very good Zelda game, it's constantly doing new things, then later on doing new things with those new things. The dungeons (mostly) absolutely bang, I really enjoyed the pirate ship one in particular. I enjoyed basically all of them! The final dungeon was a treat with the slide puzzle rearranging the layout of the dungeon.

There is a lot to talk about here in terms of how SS introduces ideas that are then further developed in Breath of the Wild. I am not going to talk about those things but I am going to say I think that I hope that Tears of the Kingdom continues to take from SS and improve upon them. Dungeons! Dungeons !! that's what I want dungeons !! ! ! !

I will be playing this good game again at some point I really liked it. It is imperfect and has issues and I can't be bothered to talk about them so I won't. I like this game, maybe I will even grow to love it. :)

This game starts off GREAT. I loved the tone and feel of it, I saw someone refer to Stephen King and David Lynch and this is kind of that! It feels like if Stephen King wrote Twin Peaks, so worse, but still fun! I thought the story set up was very exciting and intriguing, I loved when it said 'end of episode 1' and credits music played and it was like a tv cliffhanger. loved it. after a few more hours of repeating the same shine a light on a demon then shoot them gameplay and then a bit of story I was kind of well, bored! I wish that this game had the confidence to lean into it's story more without feeling the need to pad out the gameplay with combat. I hear that Control is a much better game and I will be interested in playing that. Before finishing Alan Wake I was going to get Control very soon but after playing it I don't feel such urgency. I think it could've been an amazing 5/6 hour game instead of an occasionally great 10 hour game.

I finished this game very quickly. I have been umming (and ahhing) about what to say about it since I finished it because I felt like I should have more to say about the game, but I don't. I think this was the first Zelda game I ever bought, I had seen a trailer for it and at one point in the trailer Link dives off a cliff into some water and I thought "that looks great, I'm going to buy that game and do that."

I got the game and have vivid memories of running around ordon village, trying to get that fucking cat to go home. I felt like I tried everything and in the process became familiar with the space and the people in it. I was stuck there for what felt like hours, and as a kid I had nothing else to be doing. I eventually decided to go fishing because I felt like I'd done everything else and you know what? I caught a fish and that little twat came running. that is my main memory of the game, I definitely got to the first dungeon but I don't remember if I finished it or not. I definitely had nostalia for the game.

I have played a number of other zelda games now including one called OCARINA OF TIME, and decided it was time to go back to Twilight Princess, so I got it on the Wii U. I knew what I was doing in Ordon village so flew through that pretty quickly, it was nice to go back, but it didn't feel quite so brimming with life this time round, maybe it's just because I'm older! Anyway, I got to the first dungeon and well, played the whole game. I was regularly reminded of why I loved Ocarina of Time so much, there's so much that that game got right that, and Twilight Princess in a lot of ways feels like Ocarina of Time 2, except lacking the charm and a lot of what made the tone and atmosphere of that game so great for me. A lot of Twilight Princess felt very lifeless to me, especially after coming from Skyward Sword, the heart of the game is Midna, who IS great. She is easily the best part of the game, and the moment where you are carrying her to Castle Town is probably the best moment in the entire game. I don't really have any complaints about the gameplay, I'm sure it is basically just OoT but smoother in a lot of ways! I enjoyed the way the combat worked as human link, except you could still just get away with spamming if you were feeling lazy. The dungeons are all pretty good, they're quite lengthy but yeah, they're good! I became pretty tired of the one where you're controlling all the little soldier statues though. I have strongest memories of the water temple and the final (?) dungeon, I really liked those ones.

I think that this is a really good game, but it very rarely wowed me, it felt like stuff I'd done before, even though I know that I hadn't. The early game section that I'd done before was the part I enjoyed the most, I think! The rest of the game just felt, fine. It was good. I couldn't put the game down, but I didn't have much to say about it. When I did get to the Zora village though, I found a big cliff and made Link dive off the edge into the water. I think it was worth the wait.

yeah okay it's really good. The bosses don't do much for me at all, and that is a problem. I like some of the fights, but most of them I just want to get back to exploring that very cool scary and strange world. Good game

PRETTY GOOD GETS A LOT BETTER WHEN YOU GET THE BASH

I was very impressed by just how much of this game I enjoyed! The gameplay is weirdly simple and complicated at the same time and I am not going to try and explain it. I was impressed by how often it was switched up, introducing different mechanics that were actually interesting instead of just adding another obstacle. This game made me think about space in a way that felt incredibly unique, when it was working and when I solved the puzzles by 'working it out' it felt so satisfying! Unfortunately there was a certain point in the game where I just couldn't keep up with it any more, and that was when I bailed out and watched the rest of the bonkers story in a youtube video. Don't regret it at all would play again!

Great game its nice you jump and climb and glide and you are a lil gator and it's nice like really nice

Borderline impossible to rate this. Even though I have given it 4/5 this is a 5 star game, or at least Majora's Mask is a 5 star game, not necessarily the 3D version. It's kind of like how Deadly Premonition is a 5 star game despite being really terrible, except this isn't really terrible.

The side stuff in MM is absolutely second to none, it's wonderful, I'd argue it is the star of the show! There is something so eerie about getting to know the town and it's people, helping them and then it all being reset. It's hard to pinpoint what is so special about it so I won't bother!

I think the first dungeon and the lead up to it are great, I love being a deku scrub and the monkeys are awesome. The second dungeon is okay, just fine. I hated the third dungeon and while the band stuff is quite cute it is nowhere near as interesting as the side quest stuff, so when it's the main quest I just go hmm would rather not be doing this!

I got to the final area and totally ran out of steam, I just did not want to carry on playing, I watched a YouTube video of the ending and called it a day. Majora's Mask is a truly amazing piece of work, I am so so glad that it exists and it is one of the most interesting Zelda games. I also have not finished it and I don't know if I ever will!

FUCK YES BEST GAME DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS

Don't fucking remember when I played this, it was awesome though. I guess I didn't really finish it though because I didn't do Claire's story (I'm sexist)

When this worked for me it really worked, I loved mapping out the police station in my brain and unlocking doors, it felt like a zelda dungeon but huge and scary. Then they drop that big guy in there and he follows you around and it made me piss it was so horrible. Genuinely terrifying game design and it was great, I was fucking squealing running away from him, just knowing that he was there stalking me felt awesome. I think the game gets weaker once you finish the Police Station section, the underground and lab and all that just weren't really my thing, it was good don't get me wrong but just didn't scratch the right itches for me! I am very glad I played this however, I'd like to play Residential Evillage 4

First half great second half bad
