A solid platformer, but with a few design quirks that grind my gears, such as the forest of illusion

Certainly groundbreaking, but not quite timeless. Still, not bad.

A pretty fun sandbox with a neat aesthetic

The peak of the Castlevania franchise, Aria of Sorrow is the purest refinement of the Igavania formula, and the true ending is fantastic

Final Fantasy is a really fun game that does a lot of interesting things with its plot setup and how it relates to meta elements of the game; Final Fantasy II sucks. The port is still worth picking up on the strength of FF1.

One of the better games in its franchise, Final Fantasy IV makes a lot of great use of its mechanical systems to convey the plot, and it's a very good plot with a lot more character drama and moral intrigue than earlier entries in the series.

This game's story and atmosphere are really good, and it controls great, but the enemy balance is all out of whack and the level design has a lot of serious issues.

A sublime Metroid experience. Short, sweet, and great fun, with plenty of opportunity for sequence breaking and speedrunning.

It's a Pokemon game that doesn't fuck it up

Swapping erratically between simplistic microgames makes for a surprisingly intriguing experience, and the game has plenty of personality to back this concept up

A pretty solid package with great dungeons, although the pacing is a bit out of whack in places and the two-world mechanics is half-baked

This game just feels nice to play, it has a really comfy aesthetic

An absolute masterpiece of a halloween game, dripping with personality and charm and wrapping it all in a conveniently bite-sized package.
