Damn okay uh, I finally finished Birth By Sleep (technically).

I got basically to the end of the game but then my game kept freezing so I did have to watch the final parts of it online but i'm saying it counts lmao.

This game is, honestly a bit of a mixed bag for me, again the fact I couldn't finish it properly myself kinda fucked with my experience but I will say the good 100% outweighs the bad here.

Let's start with the story.

To be honest, I really wasn't feeling the story of this game for the first half. This game is split into 3 stories, each one following a different main character, I'm already not normally a fan of this type of story-telling in games as it is without the game being a 30 hour long RPG and I do think it ruined the experience for me a little bit. BUT once you kinda piece the story together and in the second half of the game man that shit really picks up.

The main characters are Ventus, Terra and Aqua.

I enjoyed most of Ventus' story.
I really enjoyed the back half of Aqua's story
I was not a fan of Terra's story lol.

I like Ventus and Aqua as characters, I think they're both great. I do kinda like where Terra's arc goes but not overly fond of the character himself.

Anyway yeah when you get all 3 stories together the final act is honestly awesome, especially in Ven's and Aqua's stories. both have very Kingdom Hearts endings which I enjoyed. Although I feel so sorry for Aqua man she gets the roughest deal at the end, she was really the MVP through this story.

Also like most multiple story games there's a secret final story when you complete all three. It's just some cutscenes wrapping up the whole story nicely and man I gotta say, that final story segment alone boosted this up like half a star. It's so beautifully written and the music is perfect and to be honest? I nearly cried. it wraps up this game perfectly and sets us up for the next one which got me hella excited. It was just such a beautiful ending. my second favourite story in a KH game so far just because of that ending, only behind KH2 cause that game is near perfection. but also in front of 358/2 days (which I have not played cause it's a DS game but I watched all the remastered movie cutscenes which game with the remaster collection so I know the full story, which is also great).

Anyway yeah, first half of the story is meh, second half is great, ending is beautiful.

Now onto the gameplay which is... well.

Each character has their own gameplay style but they all also follow the new format. Instead of having button combos or a neat little menu in the bottom left to swap between attack and magic you know have a scroll wheel. where you equip specific attacks and spells and items that you scroll through mid-fight... I don't like this.

I loved the neatness of the menu and accessibility of the button commands in KH2, I get they wanted to make it different but it definitely feels worse for me. Also no more reaction commands :((

Alright so the characters:

Ventus plays basically like Sora but slightly faster and slightly weaker, definitely the easiest one to get used too.

Terra is more of a powerhouse character, he's slow but strong and doesn't have much magic capability. Luckily, smacking the shit out of things without using magic is my usual playstyle so Terra was probably my fav to play as. Too bad I didn't like the actual character all that much.

Aqua is the opposite of Terra, she's fast af but physically quite weak, however she makes up for it with some VERY powerful magic. definitely took me the longest to get used too but I did enjoy my brief time with her.

Now for the rest of the game.

The disney worlds you visit are... okay. I'm not really a big fan of the worlds they picked here, a lot of disney princess ones. I did enjoy Deep Space from Lilo and Stich tho as well as Neverland being pretty decent. Also they really are just never getting rid of Olympus Coliseum lol.

The soundtrack as per usual is on point. this franchise has some of the best songs in gaming history.

The new keyblades are on point as well. The one thing this game did better imo than KH2 was the keyblades. There's loads of optional keyblades you can get through the SHIT TON of side missions/events you can do, which I love and all the designs are a lot more creative this time around. Each keyblade really feels like it's from the world or event you got it from and it's great.

No Gummi Ship... Thank god.

Slight spoiler for the story but I have to mention this. I'm so glad you get to beat the ever living shit out of Peter Pan as Terra. That guy is such an obnoxious asshole in these games and watching him get beat up was so satisfying. IF ONLY I GOT TO DO IT MYSELF STUPID FREEZING GAME!

Anyway, overall this game is pretty good. Not really a big fan of the 3 way story thing. Especially since it feels like you're just restarting every time you go to the next story and i'm also not a big fan of the new combat meny style BUT, the second half/ending to the story and the shear amount of side stuff and shit you can do in this game more than makes up for it. As I said, the good 100% outweighs the bad. Epic Game.

Now I just gotta go through Chain of Memories (it's been recommended to me that I should just watch the cutscenes so I'll probs just do that).

Also need to watch X Back Cover and then watch union crosses story and then play Dream Drop Distance and THEN I can finally play Kingdom Hearts 3 lol.

I've fallen in love with this series but goddamn it is a task to get through it all.

What the fuck is this? lmao

So this was a DLC that technically acts as a prequel to the main game.

The story follows our favourite character Edgy The Hedgy and how he came in contact with Infinite and eventually became part of the virtual reality thing. This story is told over 3 "remixed" stages and about 5 minutes of cardboard cutouts talking to each other and it's over. You can beat this in about 10-15 minutes. WHY!? WHY IS THIS A THING!?

Look, I'm happy that SEGA are finally letting us play as other characters besides Sonic again. I do hope they take this as a step in the right direction to bring more sonic characters back into the spotlight in the future. BUT MY GUYS, THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO THAT.

Shadow handles exactly like Sonic does, which is to say, terribly. His stages are just the exact same as 3 of sonic's stages but with different enemy placements and the whole story amounts to absolutely jackshit.

Getting this DLC also let's you play as Shadow in all of Modern Sonic's stages... which is pointless, because again he handles the exact same and you don't wanna replay sonic's stages anyway.

Stupid fucking sega.

This game is so ass lol.

The controls are ass
The level design is ass
The story is ass
The dialogue is ass
The boss fights are ass
The main villain is ass

Basically everything about this game is bad.

How did you manage to fuck up sonic's control THAT badly? You can't even go fast in most stages because of the god awful control and level design. You just end up flying off the stage. That's right you can't go fast in a sonic game. BRUH.

Why is classic sonic here? It's meant to be the same Sonic from Sonic Mania but I call bullshit because that Sonic handled beautifully whereas this once controls fucking terribly. How does he feel clunky and slippery AT THE SAME TIME????

Making your own avatar is kinda cool I guess but once again, they control terribly and you don't even play as them for half the game.

There is a total of ONE stage that I like in this game and that's only because it plays the games main theme which I quite like. By the way the game's "Main" theme plays, and I shit you not, TWICE throughout the whole game. BRUH.

Also every stage is so goddamn short. I will say I used to dislike this games soundtrack but I've warmed up to some of it, but the stages that do I have songs I like I can barely enjoy because that stages are SO GODDAMN SHORT.

All the boss fights are boring as fuck and half of them are just copy and pastes of each other. The final boss is also incredibly boring and ironically goes on for way too fucking long.

Speaking of length, I beat this entire game in UNDER 3 HOURS. THIS IS A MAIN LINE SONIC GAME THAT YOU CAN BEAT IN UNDER 3 HOURS. This was meant to be the next "Big" Sonic game. "So that was a fucking lie".

I actively dislike this game which is unfortunate because I do geniunly think there are some awesome ideas here. The war setting is a great idea that is executed poorly. There are good ideas in the story but all of which are execute VERY poorly. The avatar is a good idea but executed poorly. Some of the visuals and ideas for stage designs are really good but the actual level design you go through is executed VERY FUCKING POORLY, So many good ideas here that are just gone to waste and it sucks to see.

If you wanna take a course on bad level design and poor video game development. Play this game.

This is the reason this series gives me trust issues.

Damn this game slaps.

This game is almost perfect. I say almost because there are a few things I don't like but we'll get into that in a sec.

The positive? Nearly everything.

The gameplay? Mostly fantastic.
The visuals/artstyle? Superb.
The Soundtrack? Godly.

Every stage in this game is goddamn beautiful. The game has a mix of remixed classic stages and some brand new ones and don't get me wrong I love seeing Green Hill for the 20th time as much as the next person but when you play the new stages mannnn, It just makes you wish the entire game was new stages. All the new stages in this game are fucking beautiful with amazing level design.

Studiopolis, Mirage Saloon and Press Garden being personal favourites.

Every stages soundtrack in this game absolutely slaps. I could listen to this games soundtrack on repeat for hours and have a great time.

The Gameplay is amazing if you're playing as Sonic or Mighty.

The others though...

I don't like how vulnerable Tails is most of the time, his flying is basically useless and clearing bosses with him is double the difficulty.

Knuckles is a bit better but I hate how is gliding fucks with whatever momentum you gained previously, you could be going super fast and then come to a sliding holt just because you wanted to glide over a certain section.

same thing goes with Ray.

Also I do not like the special stages, the controls are real finnicky and you are given nowhere near enough time to complete them which makes trying to nab all the chaos emeralds really disheartening.

The extra stuff is awesome though, like being able to unlock Sonic's super peel out from CD to use instead of the spindash.

This game is best played through once as Sonic and then left alone. That's the only way you'll come out of this with an amazing memory of this game. You can go through and complete it with the others but you won't have anywhere near as much fun.

Also I seem to have inadvertently started a Sonic Game marathon. So that's fun.

So this isn't an official game but actually a fan game that was released 2 years ago and is still being updated to this day so massive respect to the people who made this for giving us our closest look at the dream that is a Sonic Fighting Game.

with that being said this game is... fine.

It immediately lost points at being more of a street fighter/Mortal Kombat style fighting game which are more slow paced and rely more on combo moves to actually do anything instead of being a more fast paced fighting game like DB Fighterz. It's a SONIC fighting game, it should be fast paced not slow.

The character roster is pretty impressive with each character having their own special attacks etc and so forth, but they all kinda feel the same control wise which kinda sucks.

Nice stage selection with some good music.

the only 2 modes you can play are Arcade and Versus.

obviously in Versus you can fight either a CPU or a friend.

and Arcade is just a classic Arcade mode. I found the best way to go through arcade mode was just to use Sonic, spindash all the enemies (it's his only good move anyway) and just wait until you can use Super Sonic and then just murk everyone cause he's OP af and heals consistently so, really cheap lol.

tbf though the final boss in arcade is Super Mecha Sonic which is just a fight were you get beat the fuck up while not being able to do anything so, taste of your own medicine I guess.

This game seriously needs Online Multiplayer, the main selling point of this should be that you can play online with friends, otherwise you'll play this for like 45 mins, get bored and move on. After 2 years you'd think Online woulda been a priority, especially when there's a greyed out online option on the menu.

Overall this is a pretty decent fangame that clearly a lot of effort has gone into. It's just not for me.

I'd love to see an official Sonic fighting game from the people at ArcSys, that would be amazing.

This game is okay lol.

I dunno it's basically just Mario Kart with Sanic and co. slapped on the front.

I've spent the last 2 hours playing this game and I've basically done everything there is to do lol.

The character selection is fairly solid, I'd say about 50% Sonic characters, 10% other Sega characters that I haven't seen since the 90s and the final 40% being Sega characters I've never heard of.

The tracks are a very mixed bag, some are actually genuinely creative and fun to go around, but most of them just seem like copy and pastes of each other, so many tracks follow the same theme and you can barely tell them apart, which sucks because those few tracks that are original are actually really damn good.

Most of the items are just copy and paste items from Mario Kart, buttttttt, each character has their own unique item/power up they can use when they're near last, which yes is similar to Double Dash but these feel a lot more unique, like Sonic turns into Super Sonic and zips past everyone, Samba De Amigo makes everyone form in a conga line behind him, Jackie/Akira gets out of the car and just kicks it forward, some pretty fun stuff.

Overall this game basically does what it set out to do, be a Mario Kart clone, but honestly when this game is at it's best, like with the original tracks and pretty banger soundtrack, I would rather play this than most Mario Karts. but not all the time, definitely a lot to be improved but for sure a lot of potential.

Been giving out some pretty high ratings on games recently, feels nice to actually be playing some good games.

Anyway this game is awesome. I'm having an actual hard time deciding whether this is 5 star or not, you'll obviously see if it is or isn't but I'm having a hard time thinking why this shouldn't be 5 star. Anyway, They just added it to PS Now so if you have that I highly recommend you pick this game up.

For those who don't know, (which was me only a couple days ago), this game is basically Groundhog Day in space. You play this little alien dude on the planet Timber Hearth, you are the planets first astronaut in "awhile" and it's your job to go into space and explore some shit, but then BOOM, suddenly the solar systems sun explodes killing everyone, but thanks to a weird statue you encountered on your planet before you set off into space, you are sent back 22 minutes before the sun explodes (yes there is a reason for the weird number) and it is now you're job to figure out why the sun keeps exploding and also why you keep getting sent back and time and oh my god it's so funnnn.

You travel around the solar system going from planet to planet in your dinky little spaceship uncovering this mystery of an ancient civilisation, coming across ancient technologies and hidden cities, it is so good.

Every planet you visit is so goddamn creative and unique, I don't wanna spoil too much here because you should really experience this for yourself but each planet has their own gimmick and theme and way of traversal and it makes the entire experience of exploring each one feel unique in their own way.
EXCEPT DARK BRAMBLE. FUCK DARK BRAMBLE. THAT PLANET IS ASS AND I HATE IT.

Anyway, I beat this game in around 9-10 hours, you could probably beat it easier if you're smarter than me (which isn't difficult) because a lot of this game is solving puzzles and reading info logs/diaries and piecing together lots of dots to find new information on a planet or species. If you are somehow dumber than me then uh, maybe like, just don't play this game. It's not for you, just uh, go back to Fortnite. (Said the fortnite player)

Anyhoooo, I do think the game is an hour or two too long, towards the end when you've kind of explored everything and you're just backtracking to cover lore and stuff the novelty of each planet kind of wears off and you start to get a little bored. During those last few hours I really was just wanting it to end at that point.
BUT, the ending of this game is fucking beautiful, assuming you get the good ending. there is a bad ending that you can get very easily by just, dying when the time loop isn't a thing anymore, which by the way, during that section when you have to take Important Mcguffin from Planet A to Planet B, that was some of the most anxiety inducing shit ever because there were actual stakes and I wanted to have a panic attack.

Anyway yeah the good ending is one of the most beautiful endings to a game I have played in a very long time.

Speaking of beautiful, this game is beautiful. the visuals are stunning, every planet looks amazing when both viewing it from space and on the ground. Even just flying around in space is a spectacle. Honestly every time the sun explodes I just stop whatever I'm doing and watch because it's this massive spectacle of lights and colours and just amazing to watch. and not to mention the soundtrack is once again, GODLY. The music in this game is so fucking good. I already have a lot of the songs on my spotify. every planet has their own soundtrack which are all great, the main menu theme slaps, and every time, during the last minute of your loop before the sun explodes it plays this really nice chilled out synth track that's meant to represent the passing of something in the universe and something else being reborn... but all it does is make you fucking panic as if it's the drowning sound in Sonic, it's just there to remind you "yup time to wrap up whatever you're doing you gotta restart in T-minus 30 seconds bitch".

Also the song that plays during the ending is so beautiful.

The humour in this game is great as well, I got a good kick out of a lot of the NPCs dialogue in the game, big shout out to writer Kelsey Beachum, this game is written beautifully. A lot of the achievements/trophies in the game are comedy based as well, a lot of which rewarding you for doing something completely stupid which I enjoy.

Overall, I wish I had played this game a lot sooner. a lot of space games these days feel very similar but this is honestly one of the most creative and as you can tell by how much I've said it, beautiful, not only space, but just games in general. If it were a bit shorter and just threw Dark Bramble into a black hole this would probably be a perfect game. I highly recommend you try this out.

I am aware there is DLC that I will definitely try but probably not anytime soon. Just wanna remember the game as this for awhile.

Edit: I've decided to not give this 5 star just for Dark Bramble, yes I'm that fucking petty. Fuck you Dark Bramble. Piece of shit planet.

Welp after all this time here it is. So much anticipation for years about this game, and after some delays we finally have it.

And yeah it's pretty damn good.

This is by far the best lego game ever, and honestly one of, if not the best star wars game ever.

I mean it has basically most things you could ask for out of a star wars game. There's a wide variety of massive planets for you to actually fly to, through space, in a ship of your choice, and then explore massive areas of whatever planet you pick. There are over 300 characters from the Star Wars universe with some real deep cuts and whacky choices. Each character has their own class and skill tree with surprisingly deep and fleshed out gameplay. You can own massive ships like the Steadfast, hell you can even own the frickin Death Star and have it as your own to run around in. This game is basically a star wars fans dream come true.

The story is just, well star wars, but lego, and more comedic. I will say in some cases such as in Revenge of The Sith, when Anakin and Obi wan are cracking jokes during their final battle it does kinda fuck with the vibes a little bit but you aren't playing a lego game for a serious experience. speaking of comedy there are some really funny moments and character interactions in this, a lot of which are just them making fun of actual star wars which is always nice.

I think the only things I wished they'd improved on a bit more is

1. have dual wielding lightsaber combat, I know barely any characters use 2 lightsabers but come onnnn, would be awesome.

2. Add custom characters, feels weird to not have it and with the whole class system thing it seems like a given.

3. Force you to play different characters more often. There are a lot of side missions that make you play different classes of characters, but more often than not you're gonna be playing the same 10-ish characters the entire game. Have more missions that force you to change into some more obscure characters or something. Make use of those 300+ characters.

Overall, this game is great, I did get a little bored in the post game, just going around every planet doing mostly the same thing on each one. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the main story is very fun, the gameplay is the best we've ever had in a Lego game. The character and ship selection is fantastic, the attention to detail surrounding the entire game is outstanding and the fact they made the sequel trilogy enjoyable is a spectacle.

Very good game.

Edit: Okay so after playing through the post game some more, it's really fucking boring. Like my god I cannot play this game for more than an hour now without getting incredibly bored and I always have to have a tv show or something on in the background. I can't fault it for the main game stuff, all that is great. but the post game sheeeeeesh. Knocking it down a few points, the game is boring as fuck once you beat the story.

God. Fucking. Damn.

I am in love with this game and this franchise. the first game was good but it didn't really blow me away. But this? this blew me away harder than a insert sex and or catholic priest joke here.

I had a feeling of, I can only describe it has a feeling of childlike joy, almost a feeling of completion. And I know it sounds dramatic af but I don't know what else to say, this game is just, I love it.

let's talk about why this game is amazing.

so the positive... basically everything.

The story is great and kept more and more invested as it went on and we learn more about all our characters. Speaking of characters, I love every character so much, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Roxas, Mickey, everyone here is so much fun to watch and play with. The villains are all fun unique characters all with different styles.

The combat has improved SO MUCH since the last game. It doesn't feel like just hitting people with a club anymore, it feels like an actual blade with so many different combos and abilities at your disposal at anytime, mowing down common enemies is so much fun, the variety of enemies is amazing as well with each one having different reaction commands (which I will come back too) and different ways of beating them. Speaking of enemies, the boss fights. Holy shit. This game has some of the most creative, fun and complete bullshit boss fights I have ever played. I'd say 90% of the bosses in this game are extremely creative and so much fun. The other 10% are fairly generic and kinda long and you just want it too be over already. Also some of these bossfights, specifically the 1v1s or the organisation 13 fights are complete bullshit, with their OP combos and stupid damage outputs. But goddamn I would be lying if i said they also weren't some of the most fun boss fights, you feel so proud of yourself when you finally learn their patterns and beat them. Such an amazing feeling. Special shoutout to the fight against Xaldin in Beasts Castle, this boss is famous in KH2 for being one of the best boss fights in the game, very hard but very rewarding. My friend watched me fight this boss and it was so incredibly stressful, but so goddamn fun. Amazing fight.

The game also perfectly encapsulates the feeling of "Disney Magic". I feel the 1st game did this fairly well too but my god, this game, going from world to world such as Pirates of The Caribbean and The Lion King and being able to fight alongside these characters against bosses from their worlds like Scar while listening to the soundtracks from their worlds is a feeling no other game outside of this series has ever been able to pull off for me.

Speaking of soundtracks, I think my spotify has gone up by about 20 songs because of this game. This games soundtrack is GODLY, I honestly think this franchise is up there with Sonic for me when it comes to amazing game soundtracks, and that is saying something for me.

Now, coming back to the Reaction Commands I mentioned earlier. These are basically quick time events, so at a specific point, usually during a boss fight, something will happen and you have to use a reaction command which will lead to something cinematic happening and it is GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL. I love these so much because they go so cinematic and SOOO ANIMEEE, with characters bashing weapons together and doing all sorts of anime shit I love it so much. Also with reaction commands you can do team-up moves with your disney character teammates, each character having a different move and it is so fun to pull off. Having Hercules give you a power boost or having Simba to an awesome slash combo with you is pure magic.

Now, onto the, actually only like one thing I wasn't too big on which was the equipment.

I thought the 1st game handled equipment beautifully, being able to actually find cool keyblades and weapons for your friends either by just wandering around or by doing some fun side missions. This game however doesn't really have much of that, It feels like there are less equipment items in general and the only real ways to get stuff is via the main story or through crafting which is a pain in the ass. you can find other equipment through some side stuff but barely anything, I miss having my curiosity rewarded.

ALSO THE FUCKING GUMMI SHIP IS BACK. I almost completely forgot. They fleshed out the gameplay a lot more this time around but it's still just a hassle, if anything it's more of a hassle now because they've added mini bosses into it. I'd rather it be like the first game where I just avoid stuff for 2 minutes and be done, Instead of spending like 8 minutes fighting a mini boss that is just point and shoot. Dumb, did not like.

Overall, I see a lot of people saying that this game has everything you could ask for in a game, and I can honestly mostly agree with that. This game has so much to do, the story keeps you invested, the combat is really fun, new game mechanics keep getting introduced to keep the game fresh as you play. It's just amazing, if they had more equipment and more ways to actually get stuff besides just crafting and also got rid of the gummi ship. I could honestly say this would be basically a perfect game. also that ending got me so fucking excited to play Birth by Sleep, I haven't been this excited to play something in awhile.

If you haven't played this yet, do yourself a favour and play it, I mean obviously play the 1st one first, but then definitely play this one. Amazing.

Well after months of playing this on and off I have finally finished it. And it's actually pretty good.

There's a lot I like about this game but also a lot I do really do not like.

To start with the positive, the main gameplay is pretty fun, well the combat is anyway. The swordplay is basic but intuitive and the combination of spells you can do keeps things interesting (when you can actually pull them off). I really liked being able to summon different Disney characters to help me out in battle that was fun. I think the sheer amount of things you can do in the game is cool as well as all the different customisation with the different key blades and equipment you can give your characters.

Now this may not make much sense but I do have a lot more negatives about this game than positives but I still like it quite a bit. For one, the story is just, bad. it is an incoherent mess that reaches new levels of anime stupidity with hearts and darkness and some of the worst dialogue I have ever heard in my life and when you combine that with terrible voice acting like my god everyone sounds so dead inside or monotone in this it's so off putting. I get this is a Playstation 2 game but so much of this game has aged very poorly. The progression system is terrible, when you lose a boss fight it sends you back to the last checkpoint instead of just the beginning of the boss. Most of the time you have next to no idea where the hell you are going because the game doesn't tell you, you literally just have to wander around and figure it out yourself. I raged quite a lot in this thanks to my completely stupid teammates. Your team in this are either a god-send or the bane of your existence, most of the time it's the second one. They die so quickly most of the time and you're left to fend for yourself and then you end up dying. Sometimes they do come in clutch and save your ass and it feels amazing when that happens but it happens so little that you end up hating them. Speaking of dying quickly, the amount of enemies that can 3 or even 2 tap you is insane. You get into a fight and within 10 seconds most of your health is already gone, and thanks to the healing animation being slow as fuck and some of the enemies being fast as fuck you can't even heal half the time so you just end up dying and getting very angry. also the fact that every time you enter an area whether or not you've already been there or not a big group of enemies is always waiting to jump you is so goddamn stupid, like I am just trying to backtrack and find some hidden loot I missed why do I need to fight the same 50 enemies every goddamn time I want to just go to a different location? I hate the gummi ship sections, again, why do I have to do this every time I want to move from world to world, sure you get the warp ability but that's not until like half way through the game, also just what is the point of it? a random space shooter mini-game that is not fun in the slightest just to travel between worlds. Also this is some of the most terrible boss fights and platforming I have played in a long time. The platforming always feels so stuff and a lot of the terrain just feels like it was not designed for this and some of the boss fights I just hated to my core. Also the enemy lock on system is horrific, you can lock onto the enemy you wanna fight but it has almost no difference because if they go off screen then the camera doesn't follow them, it just sits wherever you are, the lock on feels more restrictive than strategic, also all the camera movement is terrible. This game felt like it was going on forever, I thought I was reaching the ending because all the plot threads and heroes and villains were coming together but then the game goes on for another 4 hours -_-.

You may be thinking "Damn girl, you seem to really not like this game, so why did you give it a high ranking?"

Well kind stranger allow me to explain, while yes there is a lot about this game I heavily disliked, there is something special about the rest of it. I hate to say but that Disney magic really is at work here. Getting to play through and see all of the Disney worlds with all of the characters is a real experience. Fighting Disney villains as bosses brings a real special kind of joy that you don't see many places else. And like i said the main combat is fun and while yes this game feels like it goes on forever and I was so goddamn happy when it was over, I had some real fun in the back half of the game when everything was mostly unlocked and I was free to run around the Disney worlds looking for secrets, finding secret boss fights and getting special equipment as a reward for my curiosity. Finding a boss that was really tough and going out and training to come back and kick it's ass was a really satisfying feeling. This game honestly kicked my ass quite a bit, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the hell out of a decent chunk of this game. I really hope the sequel fixes a lot of these issues which I'm told it does so, hype to see.

Technically I played this on a PC emulator but still.

This might be my favourite mario kart. I know everyone loves mario kart wii and of course mario kart 8 is technically the best and honestly when the new dlc comes out it will probably by my favourite again, but for now, I love this game bro.

I love the gamecube aesthetic, I love the team mechanic, I like the different karts you can get and the track selection is really solid, I don't think there's a single track here I don't like.

The multiplayer is amazing especially when you have 2 player per 1 kart, that is always fun and leads to good times. Just wish my friends would actually play this with me more than twice a month -_-.

Epic mario kart game. please bring back the team mechanic I would love that.

Well, here we are, the final game (not including lost legacy). And I gotta say it really is a bittersweet feeling.

Let's go into what I thought about the game and then I'll circle back to my overall thoughts of the franchise.

This game is technically, the best game of the series, however, i don't think it's my favourite. I really had to push myself through this one more than the others, but i think that could be to do with me playing them all back to back.

So let's start with the positive. This game is goddamn beautiful, like the past two games have been good looking but this one Oooooweeeee, this shit makin me feel some kinda way. The environments are all beautifully designed in all the levels which is great and all of the set-pieces both action and visual look fantastic. Speaking of set-pieces, this game has some of if not the best in the franchise, almost all of the action set-pieces were really fun and there are quite a few of them which is great and the visual set-pieces as stated are stunning, a few highlights being the volcano in Madagascar, Libertalia and Avery's hidden Ship. The Gunplay in this is easily the most fine-tuned and the least painful out of all the games which is great. The traversal is also the most fine-tuned of all the games which again is great, i loved the addition of the rope which had multiple different uses throughout the game both in traversal and combat which I really enjoyed. I am still in love with Nate and Elena who both continue to shine and show spectacular character growth through the game and I loved in the beginning and a small part at the end where we get to see all the relics from the previous games, felt very nostalgic despite me only having played them a few days ago. Oh and this has the best final boss fight out of all the games by farrrr, this final boss fight slaps unlike the previous games which all basically sucked and unlike the previous game this one has actual puzzles, granted for only like the first half of the game then they disappear but these puzzles were pretty good, made me feel smart and big brained when i worked them out.

Now then, onto the negative. The goddamn story again man, it's pretty weak and it overstays it's welcome by a hefty margin, this game being the longest in the series clocking in at around 18 hours and man you definitely feel those 18 hours. There are quite a few parts of the game which feel like they go on forever and you just want it to end already. Sam. I do not like Sam, at all. for multiple reasons.
1. My personal bias against people called Sam
2. He takes my precious boy Nate away from his happy suburban life
3. He's just an overall dick to basically everyone including Nate in the back half of the game
4. He a bad influence on my bb

Just a bad character that I don't understand how I was supposed to like, wish we could of left him for dead at the end. The melee combat has been toned down quite a lot from the last game which sucks because I love melee combat, there are still come cool melee stuff you can do but the game would really rather you use guns. but to be honest, these are kind of my only complaints, a pretty weak story and a less emphasised melee combat, other than that, this game kind of slaps. but I don't think it's my favourite...

These past 2 or so weeks have been a hell of a journey, these games have brought me some enjoyment in a pretty dark time in my life right now, but they have also pissed me off quite a lot and made me want to break something. But I gotta say, these characters man, especially Nathan Drake. Nate has become one of my favourite video game characters, I am in love with him. and seeing him progress and seeing his journey across these games has honestly felt really special, and seeing him happy with a happy life at the end of this game brought a massive smile to my face. And i think that's what i'm going to remember the most about these games, sure the action set-pieces in these games have been some amazing fun and the visual set-pieces have been near iconic, but these characters, seeing them interact and grow, that's what i'm going to miss, which is why I think the third game is my favourite, looking back on it I had the most fun with the third game than any of the others, the action was just iconic and while yes the story isn't the best and it does kind of erase a lot of the development from the second game. The journey Nate goes on in that game was one of the most investing character journey's I have played in a while.

so my final ranking of the Uncharted games goes as follows.

1. Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
3. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
4. Uncharted: Drakes fortune

I will not be touching lost legacy for a while lol.

but after playing these it honestly has made me a bit more excited to see where the cinematic universe for this franchise can go. and as I say goodbye to this franchise for now I can say that I will miss it, but also thank fucking god it is over lol.

I can't decide if i like this more or less than the last game, both have their strengths and weaknesses.

The story in the last game is a lot better, it had a lot more character development which this game then decides to overwrite which annoyed me and just the characters overall where a lot better in the last game. The villains in this are terrible just like all the games, I genuinely kept forgetting the villains names throughout this because of how crap and forgettable they were. They try and set up some backstory between Nathan, Sully and the villains but it never feels like they have a history. I will say the opening in this game is wayyy better than the last game, the pub brawl and Nathan and Sully's origin is a lot more fun to play through than another shootout like in the last game.

The action set-pieces in this were mostly great like the last game over I despised most of the cruise ship stuff mainly down to poor gun mechanics again however the cinematic stuff when you're running through the ship is great and really fun, the famous plane sequence was very underwhelming especially when it seems to be shown as this games flagship action sequence even though it's very short and lacklustre, honestly the cruise ship stuff while not as cinematic was a much more endearing and flagship worthy action set-piece, the rest of the set-pieces were great, burning church, riding on horses against the convoy all great.

as mentioned combat is pretty not great again however the melee combat has been improved greatly and given a lot more time to shine. I would mainly use melee as i find it to be so much more enjoyable than using guns but unfortunately there are a lot of time where melee just is not an option. The gunplay is basically the same as the last game as is the traversal mechanics and none of the issue I mentioned last time have been changed so that's fun. however gunplay felt even worse in this game due to how the enemies now play, for some reason these fuckers have been given the Injustice pill which makes your body 10x more durable, it takes so many shots to be these bitches down it is so annoying and i'm sorry but no matter how much body armour you have you are not going to survive an RPG Rocket to the face let alone three. Also the game does change things up by having fun chases throughout the cities where either your being chased or your chasing someone and you're doing parkour over rooftops and shit that was really fun, hope they do more of that.

It annoyed and bored the hell out of me that the ending to this game is basically the same as the last one with you finding a lost city and stopping the bad guy and running away as the city collapses, this is three times in a row now you guys have done a lost city. stop it.

Overall this game was fine, just like the last one, there's a lot of potential here for a truly great game (at least in my eyes) but shoddy core gameplay and in this games case a pretty sloppily put together story really bring it down a lot. I've heard the 4th game is the best so I hope that it fixes a lot of the issues I currently have with the series as the only next-gen uncharted game (not counting the spin-off)

Also side note: Anyone else confused as hell about Nathan and Elena in this? like having them split up again offscreen is dumb itself but they don't even explain what happened and they both have engagement rings but Nathan lost his and walked out on here maybe? I have no idea.

Quick edit here: I didn't even mention the puzzles because there are next to none in this game and I just completely forgot about them. So yeah if you like puzzles, tough luck because you'll find barely any here.

This game is basically Smash Bros if the community were allowed actual input.

The main selling point of this game, at least on PC is that you can have custom characters from the steam workshop and fight as those characters.

For example you can have Obama fight the Among us Imposter or The goose from Untitled Goose Game fight Goku or have a free for all between Trump, Spongebob, Shrek and funny roblox man.

I spent most of my playtime here just browsing the workshop for funny characters and then only spent like an hour messing around with them. You really need friends to play this with, of which i have none... so yeah.

fun game with friends probably. mildly entertaining on your own.

This game is incredibly fun but incredibly broken. The story is pretty ass but it's FNAF what do you expect?

The new pizzaplex area and new animatronics however are amazing and this being the first free roam FNAF game it definitely delivers in having an amazing map you can run around and get chased by animatronics in which is always fun.

The game is pretty easy to beat but once you get the main ending then you can try and get the 4 secret endings, only one of which has an actually animated cutscene -_-. oh yeah most of the cutscenes in this are told through picture books akin to Sonic and The Black Knight, not a fan.

As said before the game is very broken but it honestly gives it a Sonic 06 feel where half the fun comes from trying to find different ways to break the game to pass certain areas or puzzles or to mess with game mechanics.

The game does have some pretty terrifying moments, mainly when you are being hunted by the weeping angel endoskeletons (you'll see what i mean).

There are a lot of secrets hidden in this game, all of which will excite any FNAF fan who loves the lore of the games but besides that it;s still just a fun horror game that you can knock out in about 4 hours. Too bad the game is unfinished and has way too much cut content.
