A rare gem, that doesn´t get the recognition it so much deserves. The plot is genius with unexpected turns and a strong cadre of characters. The battle system, being on par with the story shows incredible depth with much variety and possibilities. The decision, not to make FMVs for the story sequences but instead using the in game graphics greatly helps the immersion, making smooth transitions from cutscenes and gameplay possible and with that offering a on top presentation.

This hidden gem plays horrible but that's exactly the point, its a dark bleak game, one of the toughest gaming experiences i have ever had, but its incredible art powerhouse in gaming.
It's a modern RPG masterpiece, the story itself isn't impressive, its generic, but the way RPG mechanics work and the turn based combat system is just out of this world.

I dont think any game has better story than this, even Disco Elysium. Planescape is one of most unique, interesting video game settings i have ever explored.
The combat is horrible so just pick the dialogue skill trees and play the book.
