Favourite Game Bosses (Check Notes)

(SPOILER WARNING FOR THE GAMES FEATURED)
This list features games that has a boss fight I love to nut over. Whether it's the fight itself that is beyond fun, how it impacts the story/world well, if the music behind it slaps or if it combines all the elements amazingly.
It is necessary to look at the notes because it explains what boss I am talking about from which game. I will try my best to stick with one boss from one game.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Monsoon
Why?
- Eccentric outstanding music that fits the boss perfectly.
- The devs had the balls to make this boss challenging if you were neglecting parrying till that point and to be honest, I kinda respected them for that. I was raging that this boss stinks because it gave me no time to dodge but I soon learnt that it was my fault.
- Quite possibly the hardest boss in the game in my opinion but offers a very fair challenge once you get used to parrying which was easier than I thought it would be.
- The cutscene before makes Raiden so more badass, and the build up to the fight itself is just... I found a Youtube comment that explains it best: "As soon as he closed his face shield and that wicked guitar riffed came on I had a huge grin on my face. this game was extremely my shit from start to end."
- Monsoon as a character and his abilities to detach his body parts via magnetism are beyond cool.
- The M E M E S...

Ga Jiarg and Ga Buidhe
Why?
- I have to admit that I never actually played this game but rather watched it so I cannot speak for the boss fight itself. From watching my friend play through it however, it does look like a fairly challenging fun boss.
- When it comes to the things I can comment on, this is my favourite boss in the game because these are antagonists that actually feel like they have character. The cutscene prior to the battle with the Wrothian leader and his right hand warrior is incredibly engaging, quite possibly my favourite moment in the entire game because the dialogue between Elma and Ga Jiarg is incredibly badass, especially when the former uses the Wrothian's pride in fighting to get an opportunity to avoid capture. The dialogue here also feels very natural as if normal beings are speaking here (except you Tatsu, you suck).
- This doesn't feel like chapter 7 or 10 where it's another Ganglion nobody that is nothing more than an obstacle. Here Ga Jiarg and Ga Buidhe feel like they have a character behind them which is proven by their cool development when Elma's words and the battle itself inspired them to depart from working with the Ganglion. This leads to a funny scene with Luxaar becoming mega fumming.
- To put it simple, this balanced boss fight has actual weight behind it since it's a battle between two sides to see who is the strongest. Top that with this chapter setting the Wrothian's up extremely well for later side missions from their neat development. There are more reasons to why I like both these characters but these are the main ones.
Hades
Hades
Theseus and The Minotaur
Why?
- In terms of gameplay, The God of the Dead is best because of it still keeps me on my toes but this fight I still find really fun.
- Even if the fight was easy as piss, I always get excited to meet Theseus and the Minotaur for how hysterical they are.
- Theseus is a quote machine:
"HOLD, you unwelcome pustule! We shall run you though!"
"What is the matter fiend? Is your weak sense of resolve already shaken?!"
"Defend yourself, you blackguard! And may the gods show you mercy, for I shall not!"
- Since Hades is already a masterpiece when it comes to the massive quantity of different interactions, I always love seeing what kind of new interaction I can get. Maybe I will see more of Theseus' insults, or more of the great dynamic between the egotistical "warrior" and the "I am fucking done" Minotaur.

Mutated Marguerite
Why?
- This is not only the most fun boss in the game but also the most terrifying. I love how it forces you to be completely on the move or else you'll get grabbed which makes it engaging and nail biting. The Greenhouse you fight her in too has enough space to traverse in whilst not being too big to get lost.
- I must put emphasis the scary part because when I first saw this boss, I got goosebumps all over my body. Her weakness being... Down there is also something that I didn't expect.
- All of the bosses in the game are great (except the so called "final boss") for how varied they were so it was a hard choice because they were all good for different reasons. Mutated Marguerite I ended up choosing as my favourite because of the fun factor.

Tyl Regor
Why?
- Despite pouring about 100 hours into this game, I still don't remember my time with it that much outside of playing with friends. This game is amazing without a doubt and the devs I have the upmost respect for but I guess the bosses weren't really a highlight? I probs just didn't appreciate them enough because I'd always get my ass kicked.
- It wasn't until Tyl Regor however where I started to stop relying on my friends to pull my weight and tried really hard on this boss which turned out to be a lot of fun. I can't speak much for the fight itself since I haven't fought Tyl Regor in a while but I do remember really liking his character's smugness and determination.
- This fight also takes place on one of my favourite planets (Uranus) which meant the atmosphere of the fight gave me Bioshock Rapture vibes which I am all for. Tyl Regor pulls no punches especially during the final phase where he attempts to go all out and flood the entire station just to kill you. It was bonkers, insane and epic all at the same time.
