A little bullshit in some parts but fine overall. The mannequin chase is the stand out horror sequence.

The best modern way to play Jak 2. Even nicer on a Steam Deck.

Gameplay is good but the story, music, and presentation are the real stars.

An improvement on the first game which I didn't think had much room for improvement. Fantastically creepy design and presentation. It knows just when to hit you with a big scare and when to pull back and just give you a creepy image that lingers without a musical sting. The only criticism I have is some of the environmental puzzles are hard to read. The rooms can be so detailed it's hard to figure out what is interactable and what is set dressing. Overall it made me feel like I was playing Limbo again which is one of the highest compliments I can bestow.

Solid translation of the Arkham games to a 2D action platformer. However it works a lot better in concept than execution. The map system doesn't show height and can be incredibly frustrating to navigate because of that. The game also suffers from laggy inputs making the timing based combat system a bit finnicky. The worst bit is the final boss fight against Catwoman where it seems like the input lag is doubled.

Despite all that, the middle portion of game actually kinda works for awhile. Overall it's not terrible but it's pretty rough.

Fine but boring. What was the point of making all these DLC packs 15-30 minutes long?

Too ambitious for its own good. Boring and undercooked.

My favorite in the series. Isaac's characterization is handled so well after being silent in the first game.

Alan Wake shows us how hard it is being an asshole writer with a loving wife.

One of those perfect experiences you can rarely find.

My brother always had to beat Master Hand for me.

Very boring and lonely if you don't have any friends to play with. Also applies to life.

Pretty good until it's not. Shifts the narrative away from the hard sci-fi of the first 2 games to a more generic action story. Fine for what it is but as the culmination of the trilogy it's pretty disappointing.

Fairly tepid especially after Black Ops. Does virtually nothing to push the series forward in any meaningful way.

Incredible atmosphere. Valve used to make a lot of great games.
