Vee's 2023 Adventure Log
A new year....a new class of misfits to assemble.
195 Games
Abominable bounce physics.
I was playing too much good shit lately, so I needed to assault my eyes a bit.
No, I don't understand why I played this again this year either.
Experience boost due to playing in a contest with friends.
Probably the "best" kusoge I've played this year, completely carried by the demented nature of it all and the bumblefoot soundtrack. Otherwise it's amiga-core stage design with godawful collision detection and jumping that flat out just doesn't work sometimes.
Bought for chump change, there's like no content. lmao.
Genesis version.
lol, don't waste your life on this.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on you again!

SNES version.
I dunno, the amateurish spritework is kinda endearing. I should get around to the Jaguar port for the lolz.

I really don't like pre-Final Fight beat'em ups.
Bog standard Commando-like with an annoying low-HP alarm, but hey there's some naked chicks at the end!
Played with Maradona btw

Bad CV knockoff with a shitty sword attack and the most lenient stairs detection known to the human race. Bamboozling and boring switch structure stage design too. honk shoo.

Clutch Shitter.

Childhood game.
Pretty good voice quality for NES, not a ton to do and the ceiling is spelling three-letter words.

Amiga-ass movement.
I went in expecting to dip out of a race of this after about an hour only to finish the entire thing before everyone else after an eternity of damnation, and taking a thousand shots to the nuts only to take those same shots to the heart when I heard the same people were involved with Spyro Enter the Dragonfly.
...and you know what? That fuckin' tracks.

Yes, I literally got curious and timed the loading screens.
Cyborg Justice with bad Afterburner sections and clumsier control schemes.
Karnov is cool, the rest of the people here are a bunch of shmucks. Really dull fighter, could probably rate it lower.
Somer Assault deez nuts.

Skill issue.
Skill issue.
Over in 15 minutes, but a fairly fun 15 minutes.
Also potentially the most problematic game ever made with both John K and Doug Ten Apples attached to it.

The hit sounds were good at least, no idea about the property itself but I assume it was heavily pushed for like two minutes.
Pretty standard racer, looks pretty nice and impressive for an N64 game though.
Bunghole control, everything else was just fine.
When there's lightning
You know it always brings me down
'Cause it's free and I see that it's me
Who's lost and never found
I cry out for magic
I feel it dancing in the light
It went cold, lost my hold
To the shadows of the night
[Chorus]
No sign of the morning coming
You've been left on your own
Like a rainbow in the dark
A rainbow in the dark
[Verse 2]
Do your demons
Do they ever let you go?
When you've tried, do they hide deep inside?
Is it someone that you know?
You're just a picture
You're an image caught in time
We're a lie, you and I
We're words without a rhyme
[Chorus]
There's no sign of the morning coming
You've been left on your own
Like a rainbow in the dark
Just a rainbow in the dark, yeah
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
When I see lightning
You know it always brings me down
'Cause it's free and I see that it's me
Who's lost and never found
Feel the magic
I feel it floating in the air
But it's fear and you'll hear it calling you
Beware, look out

Woah

An obvious retooling of the old Day of Reckoning engine, it's really light on content atm, but I will absolutely revisit later after more updates.

Pretty neat Pac-Man clone.
Insanely dull, by the time I was hit by the 73rd wave of Rancids from Time Killers that were assisting Doomsday I was ready to have more fun epilating.
Thought this was something I played at a friend's house back in the day, but I unfortunately don't recall this being the same Toy Story game I played. Was a pretty fun time waster regardless with some cool puzzles, I actually really liked the dumb boombox at Sid's house.
Honestly? Pretty damn breathtaking how it wouldn't look out of place next to the movie itself.

This thing is a buggy pile, but the experience was pretty funny until it got frustrating at least.
Went in expecting to lose at the seventh race, ended up only losing at the seventeenth race. Maybe I'm just that damn good at the game.
The world's funniest stick of measurement, tilting everyone off the face of the earth with it's existence on here.
No really, I adore this game.

NES version.
Pretty solid, overly long like a lot of arcade experiences, but was nice enough to play for a while.

Played over Parsec, got fucked over by double inputs at least once, otherwise an incredibly barebones shovelware title.
Essentially WCW/nWo World Tour with an edit attire option. Kevin Nash in boxing attire, etc.
Road Rash, but with rollerblades and kinda shit tbh.
Got to the final boss in about 40 minutes, then got stonewalled for a bit by a dude who tanks five million hits and can end me with one instantaneous move.
Art is cool, but the imp guy is the closest it gets to thoughtful design put into Punch-Out bosses.

A bit of "expansion pack" syndrome with it's overtuning of the difficulty, expecting you to be a Stunt Track Driving master of all. Also can't help but feel the offroad premise isn't as adorable as driving through a living room and being bothered by a housecat, and there seems to be a lot more oncoming traffic in this one to keep you on your toes.
Played with Maradona.
Page didn't have the arcade, so I logged it for the Amstrad ofc.

Found out why Armagon was top tier.
THE NUMBIES HAVE BEEN MUNCHIED!!

Played with CurtainFire.
Little survival horror for your little game boy.
Playthrough number 7 million.
No slowdown patch, so blue laser is horrifically op.

@DJSCheddar The sad part is that I deleted my save file for Sega Picross and restarted, switch is kinda bleak for me atm.
