what a unique concept for a game. it's honestly done really well, i just wish it was a bit longer and had more options.

my ratings are purely based on how much i like the game, not the perceived value of it, because i think seeing games as just products is harmful to the medium. however i think it's important to note that bitlife is a very greedy game. it started with bitizenship and now there's a fuckton of expansions that don't need to be paid. that being said, the game is pretty fun, especially for a mobile title. i like the legacy mechanic a lot, it's just really fun to do different types of lives.

glad to have finally played this classic, even if it didn't live up to all the hype. the story is cool, the exploration is whatever. my fav part is the combat, bosses especially. very challenging but rewarding. it's cool to experience this now considering how influential it was, but not really something i love a ton.

one of the most visceral horror experiences...ever? it's like if disco elysium was a horror game (especially portrait wise) and it's fucked up and it's awesome and i love it so much and i want to see more from this dev

even better than the first, hello charlotte's second episode fixes a lot of issues, with most of those DUMBASS PUZZLES being gone completely.

the worldbuilding is amazing, every character is memorable, and it shows a lot of real-world issues wrapped up in intricate metaphors that are strikingly relatable.

an engaging, very in-depth roleplaying experience that i will probably never play again.

act 1 - 10/10
act 2 - 5/10
act 3 - 8/10

pure fun. it's good in a completely different way than the south park rpgs, which i do prefer, but this is just really well done action gameplay. the first 2 chapters are a bit of a slog, but the rest is fantastic. i love it!

I don't think there's anything I could say that would do this justice.

An absolute masterpiece with every little detail being deliberate. Intricate level design, amazing themes, Cruelty Squad is top-tier, and in my opinion, one of the best FPS games ever made.

im over here shootin bitches out the motherfucking sky, badass as fuck

it's honestly fitting how they perfectly predicted how people would react and everyone still lacks the self awareness to realize they are proving the devs right

i don't know what to say tbh. aside from it being the definitive peak of an already amazing series (probably my fav oat now) the themes in this game are incredible, it's a beautifully done work of art that i just..i just love it so much. thank you, danganronpa.

This is how you make a great platformer. The world is so open and fun to explore, despite being so small. Definitely superior to 3D World

there is literally no words i can use to describe how unfunny this is

writing this before i finish the game and if they dont play The Man Who Sold the World during the credits I'm gonna be so disappointed
UPDATE: GOD IS REAL

This game feels pretty disconnected from most of Metal Gear but I honestly don't mind. This is definitely the best stealth game mechanically that I've played probably ever. Being able to approach missions in so many unique ways is just so fantastic and it's executed amazingly. Also, love having cassettes for music, because there is a KILLER soundtrack here.

I could give this a 10/10 on fun factor alone, but there are a lot of issues for me. My biggest problem is the linear story missions. I don't really think they work. A lot of the fun of this game, for me at least, is throwing shit at the wall at seeing what sticks. There were just too many missions that were overly scripted and didn't really have room for player expression. Bosses are pretty weak, too. Repetition is awful, and it genuinely feels so detached from the previous games to have such high amounts of vapid filler.

I will make an exception for the last stretch of main missions though, they really hit the narrative highs the series is known for. But the requirements to unlock those missions are just complete filler. Having to repeat missions is, very unfun. Especially with the tacked on challenges.

And that intro being so long is just inexcusable. Ground Zeroes is basically already a tutorial, the intro could've been a cutscene, and a much shorter one at that.

Overall though I think MGSV is... good, and a milestone for stealth games in general. Worst numbered entry though, and could've been improved by not having the terrible AAA design.

I'm gonna replay the MGS quadrilogy and review it soon :P
