I think that as a single player 2D-Mario this is some of the best content you can look for. There are some minor grievances with this game that hold it back, specifically the Talking Flowers and some Multiplayer features. (Multiplayer Camera follows one player, unlike the NSMB games where it is focused on everyone.) The game exudes a pristine level of polish however, and is filled with care at every nook and cranny. I recommend going this one Solo, as soon as I stopped focusing on inviting friends over to play through it, it honestly became a little more enjoyable.

Another tip is to change the language of the talking flowers to Spanish the game became more enjoyable. They are so goddamn annoying in English, but in a language I don't understand they become silly and whimsical.
