i still don't get the premise of this list...

they're games that fit esoteric tastes and often have limited budgets, which tend to draw a lot of interest in obscure game circles.

these games AREN'T popular on backloggd but in a theorized alternate dimension where backloggd has a community with different tastes and hyperfixations, they might be.
