Great list! Interesting to see the evil within 2 here. I much prefer the first one but always assumed most ppl liked the 2nd one more. Cool that a lot of ppl apparently agree 1 is better.
@Parallax_M won't lie, I dropped EW1 on release (so 10 years back) and haven't played EW2. It was just something that kept coming up as a flat or bad sequel when I was researching the list, though it could be more polarised than I initially though. However, if it is polarised then it sits in the same camp as TLOU2, in which case it also deserves being on this list lol.
@wreith makes sense. Also recommending Fire Emblem Gaiden for this list. Similar reputation to Castlevania 2 and Zelda 2 with radical changes to gameplay that were immediately discarded after its release.
