i've never been a fan of the belmont games because you don't get to use anything besides the vampire killer, but this one actually had me engaged long enough to beat it in just 2 sessions.

the "oooo there's two castles" trick is done again here except the reveal comes a lot earlier. kind of laughable. the concept of warping to different versions of the castle now and then, only being able to see certain areas at a time is kinda novel though.

movement is surprisingly good in this game - juste is one fast motherfucker and being able to dash at lightspeeds right from the start of the game greatly alleviated the usual boredom that comes with backtracking in a metroidvania

story is kinda whatever. nothing groundbreaking. who really plays these for the story anyway? i do... sometimes...

game's definitely worth a shot, even if a bit bland in some aspects.

beat him first try so they made me the new akinator 😔

Pros:
Great interesting art combining the prerendered feeling of older ps1 games and oddly enough the duplo feeling of final fantasy vii's main character designs.
Interesting layout and map with its amusement park, despite it being mildly connected to mascot horror stuff
Fun gameplay with its odd targeting system
No real jumpscares
The story is well done with its well paced out characters, notes, and revelations. I specifically like how a lot of the ending was hinted at very early on and throughout.
Just the right length for the game's map size at around 5 hours.

Cons:
a few of the puzzles are annoying to try and understand, may get stuck a bit but there's a hint system easily available.

I really just wish there was more, which is a good complaint to have. Back in the day game sequels would be released in like 2 years, i'll be lucky to get crow country 2 ever. Spiritually or Directly. Considering they left the ending on a mild open.

8/10

Quantity more than quality when it come to this title.

about as original as palworld yet this one gets a pass for some reason

What a shameless cash grab, nothing burger of a game. While My Hero is no where near my favorite anime, there is still potential to do something interesting with these characters, even in a blatant Fortnite clone. Sadly, Bandai-Namco and Byking Inc. lack any desire to devote precious brain power to creativity and chose to invest in methods to maximize profit with the littlest amount of effort possible.

55 minutes was 50 minutes too long, and over 75% of that time was spent completing the mandatory baby's first battle royale tutorial! While dispensing information to players is important, doing so in a meaningful way is equally vital. Controls were less than optimal and majority of my hits refused to register. The big elephant in the room is that this is constructed in the style of a gacha game - games like this one make me question even liking gaming as a hobby...

You can have some neat interactions utilizing all the different movesets, if you had access to all heros from the START! Having to depend on the lottery and battle passes in such an unpolished game, gatekeeping gameplay elements sealed this game's fate. Do not play this unless you are a huge MHA fan and can look past all jank.

Obs:
- Jogado via emulador no PC e Switch numa proporção 90/10.
- Ingame foram cadastradas 72h50 como registrado no log, porém considero pelo menos +10h pelas 3 ou 4 vezes que falhei em executar a última dungeon.

This is definitely the best of the rolling thunder series I also liked the storyline to it and also how it took place at the same time as rolling thunder 2.

I remember having a lot of fun with this game when it first came out. The environments and world design are legitimately well-designed and are fun to look at and explore. Even though it does copy BOTW in many areas, I still enjoyed this take on it. I love the idea of each land being based on a different element. The towns are genuinely so cute and comforting too, like the castle area in Mondstadt is such a vibe. It's so nice and comforting.

The characters aren't bad either. I enjoyed the design for most of them, and I think they're very well detailed. Their personalities and dialogue are solid as well. I feel like I'm the only person who actually liked Paimon (I like that they had her do the Q&A sessions as well).

The combat is pretty fun as well. Combining different characters' attacks to create these elemental combos is a neat mechanic and makes the combat fairly enjoyable. There is a nice level of detail to their abilities as well. The only one I can remember is Kaeya being able to freeze water and walk across it, but I always thought that was cool.

The lore is intriguing, but I remember that there wasn't too much emphasis on it, so I've forgotten most of it by now.

However, there are a few things that are holding this game back.

First of all, the gacha system. I admit that I have enjoyed gacha games in the past (I was hooked on Dokkan battle for like 2 years) but having a gacha system for a console game just rubs me the wrong way. I've met people who have spent HUNDREDS of dollars on this game, and I don't feel like this game warrants that kind of commitment. Additionally, once you reach a certain point, the game just becomes a grind fest, which in my opinion does this game a disservice, because there is a lot of potential here. I'm happy that I stopped playing before I reached that point.

Also, I don't remember much of the specifics, but the adventure rank system also rubbed me the wrong way. You have to reach like level 10 or 20 before you can truly unlock everything, which again I feel hinders this game. There are some side quests that are apparently locked behind certain adventure ranks and again, I don't like that. I run into all these characters so often and they talk like they're going to give me a quest and then I can't do it? And there's no way the quests are worth grinding out a ton of levels for, just give me the content before I get bored. The characters are kind of interesting too, but if I have to wait until I'm a certain level to do stuff with them I'm probably going to forget.

The skill trees and other upgrades are pretty wild too. Artistically though, I do like the concept of the whole constellation thing. However, it perpetuates the grind. It's very difficult to upgrade these skill trees and I feel like the game isn't fun enough to warrant all this red tape. LET ME GET TO THE GOOD PART, or at least throw me a bone every now and then so that I don't feel hopeless.

This game is primarily a level-based, gacha grindfest instead of an immersive, freedom-based open world adventure, which is what I feel the game should be and is much better suited for. Take for example the characters. There are a lot of these sample dialogues that you can have with them where they talk about their life, or what they're doing, and sometimes even propose activities with you. Like, Amber asks you if you want to go for a jog or Ningguang asks you if you want to accompany her for some tea. Like, these all sound really fun and the game does not allow you to do any of them. I think this game would be a lot more fun if it were more character focused. I get that there are conversations and cutscenes with certain characters, which I do appreciate, but while I was playing I couldn't shake the feeling that I was playing a game that wanted to be something else, and I really wished it was. Like, you're going to put so much effort into creating these interesting and kind of charming characters, and then lock like 85% of that away in menus and soulless dialogue chains? LET ME HAVE FUN WITH THESE CHARACTERS. I just want to hang out with everyone :(

Also, I saw so many cute cats AND I COULDNT PET THEM. Idk if they've fixed that since. If they have, I'll consider giving this game an extra half star.

I genuinely think this game has the potential to be amazing but it's just the wrong kind of game. However, I will say that I quit before I really got into the gacha grindfest part of it, so I'm kind of happy where I left off, because all things considered I had pretty good memories of it.

Even though the game is probably cooked at this point, there is still hope for Genshin. They announced that it was getting an anime a couple years ago, and I'm pretty optimistic about it. Like I said, I enjoyed the world and the characters, so I think the anime could be pretty good. It's also being animated by ufotable so that's awesome. Looking forward to when that comes out though.

best way to play the worst version of a mediocre game. interesting trip down memory lane lol. giving the game the rating it deserves but i still enjoyed my romp back through this, i always just knew the wii version.

history has not been kind to the force unleashed, in a decade or two i think it'll be a pretty good target for a remake. if fuckin republic commando got pulled out of the eu vault, starkiller will get his turn eventually. and hopefully it's a game actually as good as people remember the hd version being

One of the early FMV games that both plays well and has a story and many comedic moments that work well because of the better acting and writing rather than the more common unintentional humor from incompetence often found in the genre.

Set in 2042, three years after Martian Memorandum, Tex has married and divorced Sylvia from Mean Streets and realizes that he has hit rock bottom and its time to turn his career around. Succesfully catching the criminal and retrieving a stolen item for a local pawn shop gets Tex back on his feet and leads to a larger case the following day that promises Tex a large amount of money but puts him in the path of the doomsday cult the Brotherhood of Purity. Now playing as more of an FMV interactive movie there are frequent FMV scenes with controlling dialogue choices, each character you interact with his voiced and portrayed by an actor, and there is more interaction with objects as you explore areas. Margot Kidder plays a role and James Earl Jones provides voice work as God (or The Big P.I. in the Sky) who decides to become personally involved in Tex's case believing that he will need all the help he can get.

Gameplay has you moving around areas in a first person view and hitting the spacebar to bring up your options for interacting with the environment or talking to people, entering buildings often begins a scene of you talking to someone or with a still shot of the location with Tex and the character interacting until you choose to leave. When you hit the spacebar you can see the top left of your screen while the bottom becomes options for how to interact and for text and subtitles and the right side shows you conversation options, questions to ask, the ability to view your inventory and combine items, a fast travel button, and access to a hint button. Successful actions give you a score like old adventure games while using hints can tell you what to do but lowers your score, the hints themselves can tell you exactly what to do but are often accessed in a step by step form so if you only need the next step but not an entire solution it is often good for that. Everything works really well except for the awkward movement as you control your walking by moving the mouse and look up and down with the arrow keys. It doesn't sound that bad but you don't just move with your mouse movements, as you move the mouse you are setting a constant speed in that direction until you move the opposite way to slow or stop so with a modern mouse a fairly slight movement can send you flying forward or backwards while spinning in constant rapid circles around a room. Moving slowly I was able to control it without even turning my mouse sensitivity down but it takes some getting used to.

The story keeps you interested. The jokes often land and when it becomes more corny it is often as an intentional spoof of the detective genre. Exploring the environments soon shows that Tex has an amusing quip or story about many of the random objects you can interact with. As you often aren't getting the best when a company uses its own employees to play characters, it is surprising that Tex ends up as one of the best portrayed characters while always being played by the game's director and designer and by a founder and the Chief Financial Officer of the company. Puzzles are typically logical and finding what you need to in the environment doesn't devolve into pixel hunting.

A super short but solid enough game. Little Kitty, Little City. There's like 5 simple quests to do and some achievements. If you really want to 100% it you can drag it out from the 2 hours it is all the way to 6 hours.

Seems to have worked a lot better for other people, but its just not a whole lot to grab onto.

6/10

wonderful game with actual genius plotwriting and really unique gameplay

love hehehe (bring back mirrorwatch forever)

Really nice story but really short and repetitive with other spiderman games

Super unique and charming incremental, while also being very approachable to people unfamiliar with the genre. Tons of player choice for how to progress, and I had a ton of fun figuring out which talents synergized with each other!!

one of the first games I ever played, playing and learning this game with my older brother was a blast, tho I never finished it until very recently... and man I think it's aged really gracefully, still a very nice game to pick up and play honestly

Tries to be a mix between an incremental and a factory simulator, and ends up being kinda bad at both. Very cool to look at, but the gameplay is far too repetitive for a factory simulator, and not progressive enough for an incremental.

18th Completion of 2024 - Panzer Dragoon Remake on the Switch. Nice & Vibrant visuals on this remake with a catchy soundtrack, it's always satisfying shooting down enemies in a Panzer Dragoon game.

An All-Time classic brought back. 🪽

Super fun game that crashed about a gorillion times until I installed 3 different mods to stop it from happening.

The parkour is actually fun, until I have to maneuver with the janky controllers. Rip.

(Speed running Apple Arcade until my free trial ends)

I’m gonna die bedofe they ever make a sequel

Played this back in 2008. I don't remember anything except I know I had fun playing it, so that's must be a good recommendation.

Absolutely fantastic. A meaningful and interesting DLC that expounds upon maybe the most interesting character in the Judgment games: Masaharu Kaito. After this game, I don't know if it's a hot take, but I would absolutely love to see Kaito get his own entire game, maybe even more than Yagami getting another, though I know why RGG would prefer Yagami as a protagonist. The story is really heartfelt and the main villain is one of the series' best.

Well what a game. I'll start off by saying i think this like all personas are really good games. They have a good recipe and they shouldnt really change it too much. I cant help but feel persona 3 is a case of you had to be there to truly appreciate it. Again, dont get me wrong its a great game but it dint hit for me the same way persona 4 golden did(which was my first). The game took way too long to really hit in the story part and while i do think it did pay off in the ending sections i couldnt help being bored for such a long section of the game. The cast was also up and down for me. Again many characters didnt really hit for me till towards the end(Aigis), some felt somewhat waisted potential(shinji, yukari) but junpei and mitsuru and amada were great all the way through. This game definitely coverd some mature topics that I think many can relate too so i see why many like it and the soundtrack is one of my favorite in gaming but good god I have a love hate relationship with tartarus. Never do anything like that again Atlus!!! Overall it was a good game and its another case where im sad i didnt play the original when it came out because it was made for my generation(Im 32 yrs old)I was a teen when this came out and i wouldve felt stronger about it playing it younger than i do now but i still like it. Overall really good game but for me p4 golden is better.

made it two hours in but just could not enjoy it. it felt clunky and i’ve never been the biggest fan of stealth games
