I actually think if you're not expecting "Arkham Next" then this is probably decent, but the gameplay is just ok and none of the set dressing did anything for me.

There's a thing people used to always say about the Arkham Games: "They wouldn't be as good if Batman wasn't in them". Which almost doesn't make any sense because he is, but I actually kind of get it now.

In Arkham's Gotham, there is so much care put into the environment. I don't have much extended Batman knowledge but it was fun to see certain buildings/posters and think "oh look that's a reference to something!"

The same kind of references exist in this game (I think) but I didn't get ANY of them. I dunno man, it feels like this is set in "Gotham", it all just feels so fake.

I remember when this first got teased and Batman nerds said "The Court of Owls story is so cool! I can't wait to see it done well on screen"... keep waiting.

Everything about this is just disappointing if you have any expectations...also it runs like shit!

I finally finished the True Final Millenium Tower. Oh my gooood! What a game!

It's really bold to completely change the style of your game between iterations but I really didn't like how this one worked. Pleasantly surprised by Kingdom Battle but let down by this one (I can 100% understand why people love this though, just not for me)

I really appreciate this but the story didn't do anything for me and I started skipping through it during chapter 2. I love Picross though and I've genuinely never seen those Speed Picross bits been done before.

I really thought I wouldn’t like this and even a few hours in I was planning on dropping it but wow! Really impressed. Really wish you could set easy mode on by default though

Obviously still amazing but really can't help but feel this didn't improve my experience and instead showed the gameplay shortcomings compared to TLOU PT 2. Worth noting I've literally played all the way through 10+ times in the past 9 years.

This one was a lot more interesting and I really like Dynamax Adventures, will definitely be coming back to this for more legendaries

The open world Wild Area is quite cool and with Gen 9 coming soon it was a nice look to the future but woah this was not good. Very fetch questy and then incredibly grindy when you need to get a Level 15 Kubfu to level 70! And other than bringing the old Pokemon back this DLC only added like 4 more Pokemon??? Cool.

Really not much going in with this one and I didn’t really like any of the new designs but still enjoyed my time with it… one day my living dex will be complete

Was kinda not enjoying this and then it crashed and I lost about an hour of gameplay so I took that as a sign (just because it’s a remaster doesn’t mean you can’t add autosave!)

More of the same but instead of the sequel being bigger and better, this feels like they lost the budget. The fun and interesting mini games are replaced with arcade games that I could make, had 0 interest in the story after playing the first game so I was skipping every cutscene. And while the actual gameplay does feel “better”, it’s literally the exact same. I dunno man.

Also the bit where you play as the girl has some of the worst platforming in any game I’ve played. But the ranged fight where you play as the guy was quite cool!

Fascinating game I wish I had played sooner. Bogged down by weird pacing issues and the story (while insane) didn’t fully grab me and some of the dialogue was just like (bad) Deadpool. It does have a lot of cool wrestling stuff in it though!

Stylish presentation and while simple, really engaging combat. Very excited to see what’s different in the sequel.

I want the Diddy Kong skin so bad! Why do you get it so late! -1/2 star.

I hate flying and after playing this in 1 sitting on a plane I now finally understand what a “comfort game” is
