"I'LL KILL YOU AND THE NIGHT!" 🔥 Much better attempt at a 3D Castlevania than the previous but series def still works better in 2D. Gameplay wasn't the best even for the era was released but it was fine enough. Has a fine origin story to the franchise.

Might be the best narrative Venom has had in the history of the character ever. I enjoyed how multiple playable characters were used. There's not many flaws with this title, but I will say there were a little too many fake out deaths to be as emotionally high as the first game. That said, this is definitely the better than the original overall when it comes to gameplay and other aspects of the storyline.

This series lost its charm and quality. Every main numbered entry added a massive amount of new characters and often mechanics to be a more definitive experience. It honestly feels like they just took 4 and modified it slightly.

I guess if you didn't play 1-4 then the story mode that covers the main series is worth it but if you already have the others then just play them. The new original story is uninteresting.

The fourth wall breaks felt overdone but otherwise this game is filled with an intriguing narrative, fast gameplay, and well designed settings. It's def among the best modern Ninja Gaiden esc games. This also made me appreciate SoS more.

I played the prequel game first so some of the moments like the guardian gods talking hit surprisingly hard. Playing this made me appreciate the other game more too.

This took me a while due to my interest in it wavering and the game's paving but it's a very high quality indie that pays tribute to the SNES era of RPGs well. It's very clear this was at least somewhat made to appeal to Chrono Trigger fans and it actually manages to cover quite a few tropes from other games in that era (although going into specifics would be a spoiled). It's definitely worth checking out if you want a modern take on the classic formula.

Edit:
After playing The Messenger I now appreciate the story and setting more. The map recreations, boss, characters technically showing up in both, etc made this a lot more interesting looking back.

The idea of Smash Bros with anime characters is fantastic but there's a lot of factors holding this games back. The Japanese only language barrier, amount of time it takes to unlock most characters, being on the DS, and simplicity compared to other arena fighters do not help it. I say simplicity but that doesn't mean there's not a lot of effort put into it. You just don't have as many attack options available as in say Smash Bros or most other arena fighters.

I gave the full game a chance since it was on PS+ monthly games catalog. I had more fun with this than the demo although the game still feels lacking in terms of content even a year later.

Fantastic finale to the original trilogy. The story wraps up nearly every loose end, the level quality feels improved, and combat was improved. It doesn't surpass 2 in every way but this definitely has the best quality overall.

Wasn't expecting a dual protag narrative but it worked extremely well. I like how the lore was greatly expanded upon. Gunplay is better but level design is much more linear than the previous game and there's less balance. Overall a large improvement over the original but simultaneously left things to be desired.

First Day Review:
I love being back on the original island and the new skins are fantastic fusions. Even the loading screens are references to original Chapter 1 loading screens.

Final Day Review:
I adored coming back to the original island with more basic mechanics. The new skins, emotes, and almost everything about this seasons as great. I was a little disappointed with the lack of map changes tho. Overall a peak season.

Big Bang Event Review:
Unfortunately could only play the third time the event went up. Vastly better than the previous event and introduced a lot of new modes that I look forward to. Not as action packed or story heavy as I would've preferred but fun.

Great map changes, fantastic new weapons, fun new mechanics, and incredible new skins. It's one of the best seasons Fortnite has ever had. I'll miss this map and chapter quite a bit.

Great sequel to Aria that even has a mode that reminisces Castlevania 3. Unfortunately held back by needing to use the stylus to use finishing moves. It's definitely an under appreciated installment regardless. Still has a great protagonist, ability system, and other pros that Aria had.

This is my favorite of the 64 era Mario Party's which overall I think aged a bit but are still somewhat fun. (GameCube Mario Party still peak era.)

What if (insert any Nintendo 64 platformer here) had drugs, blood splashing everywhere, let you pee on people, and was incredibly sus? You know everything Nintendo was known to actively be against doing during the 64 era? Well that's what this game is. This is a fever dream that no one would've saw being officially supported by Nintendo on their platform at the time. The fact it looks as child friendly as most other animal mascot platformers at the time made the shock value of seeing those cute characters explode into blood and swear all the more shocking. Honestly this game even gave series like Doom a run for their money when it comes to bloody shock value. While Conker's Bad Fur Day may not have the deepest gameplay, it is absolutely an unforgettable experience. Easily a top 5 game on the console.

It took them 6 games to finally make a descent one. Key word descent. As in it's not entirely garbage. The first 5 games were 1-2 hours long and only covered one story arc each. This game instead covers two thirds of the entire Bleach storyline which is quite impressive in comparison. The UI and overall quality is also noticably better than previous entries despite still being mid. Unfortunately the combat is still quite barebones even for an arena fighter.
