The combat is incredible and the story is good with a lot more actually likable characters but a lot of the bosses are mediocre, the final boss segment drags on for way longer than it needs to (its also incredibly easy), and the story has a very bad sense of progression due to the need of having to do worlds that feel like filler content that don't progress the story whatsoever but they're also necessary in order to get certain abilities. but overall i enjoyed most the time i had with this game and can say its good
the story for Riku's route actually isn't terrible but the combat and Sora's route are so it's not very good as a whole, still better than 1

200th game! Finally finished this after almost 2 years of starting it and i love this so much, story and characters connect with me to an incredible degree and i absolutely adore those. the combat isn't too great but it's not enough to drag it down by an incredible amount. Sephiroth is probably my second favorite game antag as well. thank you final fantasy 7

Not motivated to finish this, fun and challenging combat that has good depth as well as an ever expansing world with incredible atmosphere and music but the story is all over the place and confusing and the collectibles don't feel very impressive compared to other metroidvanias, I'd say its still worth trying out though
