UNDERTALE is a modern indie classic that hasn't aged super well. Its extremely creative, but the repetitive wild encounters get boring after you solve each enemy's puzzle the first time.

I got this on Switch because there was literally NOTHING else to play at the time

A pretty funny life-sim game with some odd scenarios.

I think this is the closest to a perfect game I'll ever play. Each round is tons of fun, and the classes feel perfectly balanced. Every mode (including MvM) is stellar, and the community maps and servers mean there's always something new to experience. I've wasted weeks of my life to this game and I don't regret it. Its influence on internet culture and class-based shooters is undeniable.

I love this game. The new, faster battle system feels so natural that it's genuinely much harder to go back to the older games now. World of Light was a lot of fun, and each Spirit Battle showcases Nintendo at their most creative.

Melee takes everything that made 64 great and expanded it. This game has the most technical depth in the series by far, and I could never see the competitive scene die out for that reason. There's some confusing design decisions that make it really hard to go back to if not for competitive (why no C-Stick in single-player modes?)

This game ignited my love for competitive Smash, and for that reason I'm incredibly biased. I also spent many hours playing Smash Tour with my friends, and I'm convinced we're the only people that liked that mode.

I don't really get the hype behind Smash Run. Still love this entry, it's fun just to turn on training mode every now and then since it's portable.

Brawl is the best Smash game in terms of extra content, but its core battle system is just too slow and unpolished to really want to go back to post- 4 and Ultimate.

You can tell this game is old, but it's still a lot of fun to go back to from time-to-time.

Adjectives were a necessary and fantastic decision. It's aged even better than the first game.

Every time a new Paper Mario comes out, Super gets better and better. Everyone knows that the story of this game is fantastic. Each chapter and their respective environments are just so unique and fun to explore. It's a bit too easy for my taste, but otherwise it's really good.

The world design and OST of Origami King is stellar. Since attacks aren't consumable and required like Sticker Star/Color Splash, I actually don't mind the strange puzzle battle system. It's still a complete waste of time due to no experience points, but I'll admit that I had a fun time with it.

Yoshi's Island is an incredibly unique 2D platformer with a timeless art-style, great boss fights, and real technical depth. Somehow the control scheme works really well, and it feels great to nail egg angles while moving.

Among the best 2D Mario games. It brought so many ideas to the table that are series staples at this point. I think the level design hasn't aged as well as 3, however.
