Really meh, when you stop to think about the first and second games this one was really weird. You constantly fight against the same ghosts and a lot of missed opportunities on jump scares. The lore is good, it felt more like playing a novel game than a true fatal frame (which it's not a true complain I like reading lore). Not even gonna comment on the optional clothes for the female characteres and breast physics, both were unnecessary and could have been used the spare time on the game.

The game is ok, for some effing reason the developers thought it was okay to have a lot of backtracking on from chapter 4 onwards, that made the game at least 10 hours longer than it needed to be.

Wouldn't have played it if I had known the remake was on the horizon, only finished because the remake will only be release in 2024 and I was on the 6th chapter.

Pretty good, probable the peak of the franchise.

Amazing story, amazing abilities and gadges and you feel fear afraid from the enemies which is AMAZING!

It's fun, it's good and it's raging indulcing.

Loved the gameplay and story, but not playing again anytime soon.

An amazing game, you'll surprise yourself, I don't want to give any spoilers but it's a really good card game.

Play it if you want to get mindfucked in a good way!

Even with a cliché ending and story it still is pretty good, felt like an upgrade from the RE7, but I missed more of Umbrella and the dichotonomy about "science is bad" and "science is good".

And it's amazing that Ethan entered the good fathers club.

Amazing game, felt like playing a old Shin Megami Tensei but with a good upgrade on the overworld, design and gameplay.

Played for 2 hours, might come back later with more time for JRPG since it will be a really LONG game.

Amazing game.

Have one of the best stories of walking simulators that I've ever seen, the story is engaging, you WANT to understand what happened and it's amazing to see what a "generational curse" is capable.

The best game of the SH franchise, the enhanced version made by fans is the definitive version of this game.

The gameplay, even with tanky controls is still pretty good and aged well, puzzles are challenging enough for you to enjoy it and it has one the best stories I've ever seen in a horror game.

This game is basically a standalone, so you won't need to play other SH games, but it's awesome to see how the overworld has the same stores and places from other games.

Also played the Born from a wish scenario, which is equally good.

A must play for gamers that love horror games.

CAME BACK AND FINISHED IT

Unhappily this game aged as milk out of the fridge since 1999. The puzzles and story are amazing, but tanky controls and fixed camera angles killed this game and buried it with excrement.

The enemies are a bore.

The grey children give you blowjobs while biting your dick because that's the only explanation for this shitty enemy doing so much damage and coming in waves. The birds were made taking into consideration that no one would fight them, but try to play without taking any damage from these Thanksgiving turkeys flying behind you for 10 minutes, since they don't lose aggro on you for God knows why. And the poor dogs jump on you as if you kicked them in the balls. The enemies have random health, so you might need one bullet and a kick or 10 shots and 2 kicks on the mouth.

These three enemies make the "open world" unbearable.

If you manage to deal with all this crappy bullshit you'll find a good game. I would love a remake or remaster, but since Konami doesn't care I'll watch a playthrough.

------------

After finishing the game I really enjoyed the story, but the gameplay still awful and deserve a remake =/

A really good game, but it lacked a lot of the stuff that made Zelda games good: dungeons, songs, engaging story and unique weapons/gadgets.

The story is not bad, the bosses/"dungeons" are okay, but it lacked the vibe from previous games.

Hoping for a Breath of the Wild 2 that is more of a classic Zelda game and has a better "grown up"/dark feeling.

Seems okay, but couldn't hold me for more than one hour. The game gets better progressively but for me it didn't work.

Might try playing again in the future!

2018

A really good roguelike, a must play if you enjoy the genre.

The story is really good, the gameplay helps you get through the multiple runs and it has a nice story which is somewhat inovative for a roguelike.

A Silent Hill must play if you're a fan of the franchise.

Aged relatively well for 2022.

The gameplay in the PSP version is satisfactory and the story is perfect like most SH games.

Story and Gameplay:

PLEASE bear in mind that I haven't played SH1 when this review was written and there are spoilers ahead

The title stands on it's own, meaning you don't need a deep knowledge of previous SH titles. There's a lot of lore to be found, almost everywhere in the game, so if you enjoy lore-hunting, this will be great for you.

The gameplay is good, you don't have many kinds of enemies, actually only ONE kind which will change it's appearence based on how you're playing. This makes the game a must play, since it's really interesting and more games should try something like that.

To fight Raw Shocks(the enemy) you only need to push specific buttons based on from where they are attacking you, which is okay. The only problem with the Ice World gameplay is that Harry is SLOW, you will press the button for running hard because you'll think that he's not running at all, but he's just really slow so the creatures will always catch up to you.

The real world gameplay is really nice, you'll be checking a lot of the world of Silent Hill and if you want you can call to different numbers that you get on the overworld to get more lore. Cybil antagonizes you really well sometimes, I just wish we could see more of her in this game.

The BEST part of this game is the psychiatrist, you get analyzed for every decision and detail of your gameplay and that's what makes this game interesting.

Final Thoughts:

It's a must play for fans on Silent Hill, I prefered the PSP version over the Wii, since the motion controls didn't age so well and makes you really tired since the creatures will always catch up to you so either you will be button smashing on PSP or shaking yourself on Wii Controls.

The story is wonderful, you get a psychological analysis based on how you've played it and it's freaking amazing!! Play it if you can, it's an amazing addition to the SH franchise.

A fresh new start for the Pokémon franchise, but falls a little short still. This game brings new mechanics and a new opportunity to see the full potential of a Pokémon game on Nintendo Switch after the horrendous Sw/Sh.

Story and Gameplay:

The game starts with the protagonist being brought to the past, in the old Sinnoh(Hisui) region, and with the mission to seek all pokémon. For the very fist time you're going to CREATE the pokédex, in my opinion this is what makes this game interesting and if you want to play it you have to keep this in mind because it's STILL a pokémon game.

If you've played Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl or the original versions, you're going to find a lot of references, which I unfortunately didn't get since Diamond/Pearl is in my backlog to be played sometime.

The gameplay is somewhat interesting and new to the Pokémon franchise even though this game is a spinoff. You can sometimes "choose" to battle wild pokémon or catch them in a simple stealth system, where you have the tall grass, smoke bombs and sprays.

I felt that the game was considerably hard, I say that having in mind Sw/Sh and Let's Go, so for the first time in a long while I felt the need to have some strategies for some fights and not only spam a specific move.

The game has around 120 missions, being around 20 for the main story and 100 for side quests, those side quest are unlocked as you progress the main game and your pokédex. I did enjoy all the missions, but I think some of them were only easier because I was really focused on getting level 10 in research for every Pokémon. So, if you're not focused on completing your Dex, in the last main mission you're going to have a really bad time because you DO need to catch'em all (no need for research level 10).

Just a quick info: the only Pokémon I didn't get was Darkrai, but that didn't stop me enjoying it and finishing the game since mythical Pokémon don't count for this Dex.

The Alpha pokémon are kinda cool, but poorly used, they're strong but basically just big since the IV and EV system was remade on this game. Only Nature and EV will affect the progression of your pokémon's attack, speed and etc, both of them are easy to control with new items (you can even change nature in mid-late game). This made the Alpha pokémon have only some EV already trained, being bigger and having specific moves which can also be obtained by paying for it in the Training Grounds. Plus, there is no breeding in this game.

The boss battles are repetitive, you'll use your pokémon but the focus will be on you yourself fighting the Guardians so it's always the same formula: you throwing stuff on them until they grow tired.

Final Thoughts:

It's fun, if you're a completionist you're going to take some time (took me 56h) but have in mind that this is still a pokémon game so it's silly sometimes.

The gameplay is refreshing, needs updates to fix some visual bugs, but could be better with a richer and better open world, more nature diversity (trees mainly), more pokémon AND wild random encounters that this game lacks.

Plus, it kinda pissed me off that I needed to catch all pokémon to get the true ending, because if I wasn't doing it since the beginning the final mission would be a pain.

Play it if you are tired of the new pokémon games but want some nostalgia.
