I'm just going to start off by saying idk what I think of this game
It's amazing, yes it's got the Suda 51 charm and perfect dialogue. But idk
Something with this didn't click as much as the first or FSR did.
I felt lost a lot of the time, I really had no idea what kind of goal the characters in correctness were working towards. Even finishing the game I still don't in a lot of ways. Probably a me issue if I'm being honest.
Still highly rated due to the ideas it presents, the story and dialogue, the characters were amazing as always

KINO
PEAK FICTION
GREATEST OF ALL TIME
This game is pretty much fucking perfect like holy shit
The maps
The characters
The story
I thought that second gen wouldn't be able to live up to first and that the children would feel like a worse version of their parents
But that's not at all what happened, Almost every character feels complete in story and battle with the children feeling like their own distinct characters even when there are some with identical roles
And every one feels good to play and manoeuvre around these massive maps
The size and scale of the maps is probably my favourite thing about this game and is sorely missed in every other FE game I've played
The multiple capture points expands the scope of the game as well as add heightened strategy especially in the later parts of the game
Fucking hell mate it just felt fucking good to play like holy shit it's amazing

Loptyr felled
Belhalla Seized
Jugdral liberated

Beat the basic ending
Will be working on getting the full occasionally

Such a beautiful game
I love it

Spoilers farther
The combat is honestly fun and addicting, it clicked for me which is something that I can clearly see didn't happen for everyone else, and with some missions allowing you to ride Angelus really fucking hit, like I loved the feeling of riding her.
The Aerial Missions were also fun, the target lock and the flame breath really felt fun to use.
The gameplay overall has this early 2000s PS2 charm which I loved.
The music is also wonderful. Dissonant, chaotic, destructive, but also hopeful and heroic when it wanted to be
My two favourite tracks are
Chapter II In the Sky

And
Chapter XIII Closing

Weapon grinding really wasn't as bad as people say, apart from the staff on Seere's chapter 5, too many nemies to kill in so little time really makes that shit hard. But most other weapons were got in one or two attempts.

This game is extremely emotional and hard hitting.
It also plays with the characters wonderfully with most of them having major flaws making them horrible people.
I can praise everything about this game and someday I will who knows when that will be though

Have it marked as completed because I got ending A, B, C-I, C-II, D and E
Rated 5 stars because it's peak
Won't be writing a proper review until I get every ending including each S rank

Milk outside of a bag of milk (milk 2) is such an amazing follow up to the short and sweet, answers nothing and leaves you wanting more and more
Peak MC
Peak OST
Peak Mystery
I love these games
Excited to see if there's gonna be any more to see with Milk girl

FFV was good, I liked my time with it
The job system feels like the perfect upgrade from IIIs system and I love the feeling and design of each job, really it's major draw.
But it's the least interested I've been in a FF game so far. The story, the characters, the main antagonist are all good and all shine in their own ways (Gilgamesh the GOAT). And it has a lot of interesting ideas and saving graces. But nothing really gripped me.
Who knows, maybe on a repeat playthrough I'll enjoy it more, but for now it's the FF I've found least engaging and least fun

Final Fantasy IV really showed what a story in Final Fantasy can properly look like
While they had delved into it a few times in the NES era, it never took as centre of a stage as it does in this one.
This has what I think are the first solid characters and factions in an FF game
This is of course helped by the step up from NES to SNES which is apparent in almost everything to do with the game, from graphics, to presentation, to the interaction with the world and the ways stories can be portrayed both through in world cutscenes as well as in battle
The revolving cast of characters are all very charming, Edward, Rydia, Kain and Edge being a few personal favourites.
Cecil as the main protagonist is genuinely amazing, from a Dark Knight destroying the land to the Paladin saving it, dealing with his old friends in the is absolutely phenomenal.
Helped more by the supporting cast that bring out the varied parts of Cecil especially at the end, his new found friends encouraging him to say goodbye to his tragic brother.
Onto the brother
Golbez is a really good antagonist, even if I wish we got more development of his character, him being a reflection of Cecil, being the Dark Knight, the position he gave up. A position the end of the game makes clear could easily have been him instead.
The combat was good, a solid ATB system, with mp instead of spell slots. But at it's basics it's still the same combat from previous entries even if you need to think a bit more now with the ATB
Overall I found it really fun, I didn't feel as directionless as I did with the older entries while still being open. The story is really well told and emotional at multiple points, a lot of the time dealing with loss, but also hope. Making the best out of the worst situation. Self reflection and working to better yourself, atoning for previous actions by putting good and hope into the world.

SMT 1 is an amazing start to a franchise I've grown to love.
While Digital Devil Story was the game that lay the groundwork this game is the one that really set the identity of SMT
I had played some of the SNES version but after feeling stuck, lost and ran in circles for a bit, I decided to get back into it with the PSX translation version and I'm really happy I did.
While the combat is a bit simple and can jump between easy, hard or just straight up tedious, it's still enjoyable enough to not drag on especially with the auto battle.
The characters, story, atmosphere and worldbuilding are really the draws for this game anyway.
While I did have some difficulty issues, it really seemed to mellow out coming up close to the endgame.
It really was the perfect start and jumping off point for the series that is
SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI
I'll be hopping on SMT 2 shortly

Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition
I've played the vanilla version many times before on my PS3, most recently being a year or two this is my first time playing the DLC.
This will mostly be covering that while mentioning DLC at the very end
The game is a genuine masterpiece, a peak of story, characters and worldbuilding in the post apocalypse genre.
Saying that as a kid it never gripped me the same way Fallout 3 did, this was due to it being much more open and exploratory rather than 3s easier linear presentation.
But as I've gotten older and replayed the game more and more, the more I appreciate it and love it. No other game I've played explores the interactions between factions, the branching path, your choices truly having weight like this game does.
While people complain about the gunplay, while I get it, it's really not as much of an issue people say and I enjoy it.
Genuinely all the issues that arise with this game either come from the fact that it was rushed and crashes a shit ton, or the holdovers from Fallout 3.
And yeah while I didn't get a ton of crashes they were consistent enough to still be an issue and keep me on my toes
But yeah, other than technical issues the game really is a masterclass in this genre and I would have loved to see what Obsidian could have done with more time

Now for the DLCs
Honest Hearts
This is the weakest of the DLC
Joshua was an absolute delight, loved his character before the DLC and love him even after playing it
Other than Joshua I really feel this DLC doesn't flesh out the native tribes enough so a lot of it just seems like you're fucking about until the DLC want's to be interesting at the very end and whenever you talk to Joshua
Wasn't expecting much from this tbh

Dead Money
Dead Money was an incredible DLC
The characters, story and setting were all absolutely perfect
The survival horror aspect was also amazing and a wonderful use of the mechanics given
The Sierra Madre itself feels over fairly quick in comparison to the surrounding town but...
I think it's still very well paced with an amazing cast of characters including the main antagonist Father Elijah
Definitely more of what I was expecting from a Fallout New Vegas DLC Honest Hearts didn't give
Also Christine is sooooo fucking good I love her let's go lesbians

Old World Blues
Here's my thought on Old World Blues
Funny as fuck
While a lot of FNV DLCs feel very grounded and trying to get a message across OWB just feels like they were able to just nerd out about old sci fi movies and just have fun with it
Idk why the game allows you to take your own gear into this it would work better without that since they were talking about seeing my foot penises with full covering Sierra Madre armour on, but that is such a small gripe
But yeah it's just good whacky fun
It's just a good solid DLC with so much charm slammed into it, it's really fun

Last but definitely not least
Lonesome Road
The final DLC of Fallout New Vegas
Every other DLC and even the base game makes reference to this one so much it's insane and has a lot to live up to
And...
It does, it's oppressive, a message from Ulysses to the Courier about the rise and fall of nations
The Divide is such an amazing setting, I loved seeing the marked men. They represent the Divides unification, no bear, no bull, a corruption of something new that was once blooming, destroyed by the Courier. Remnants and the dying are all that stay in The Divide.
It feels like a true conclusion that wraps up everything that base FNV laid down

Killer7 is probably the first major game people knew from Suda pre NMH
Of course it being written by Suda the story is insane, amazing and introspective
But you can tell there were cuts made due to how most of the Killer7 get shafted in terms of character and cutscene
The gameplay was one thing I was a bit worried about but the on rails type shooting works so much better than you'd think it would. With each member bringing something really special to the mix, none feel boring to play as while also being able to fall into personal preference
I really liked most of the smiles but there were a few being a bit too erratic and feeling unavoidable at times.
I will say I feel the game has highs and lows and feeling very easy to just get lost in routine and feel less engaged in the game due to certain circumstances.
Overall I did really enjoy the game even if it never really got over the high of the first two parts until the end
Also fucking hell play on PC don't play on console this game is made for mouse and keyboard holy shit

Meow Meow
HOME is a fangame that does not feel like a fangame
It feels like a sequel to a game that I thought could have no sequel
With additional art like below adding to and adding to the character of the judge and the way he sees the world
I'd highly recommend to any OFF fan

My only real issue is there are some insanely spongy enemies in one part of the Mall and in the endgame.
But this is really just a small hit against an otherwise completely faithful fangame that you can tell was made with absolute love of the original
Tragically the creator passed away due to a car accident in 2017, may Felix "The Judge" Aaron Mullins rest in peace. You and your work will not be forgotten

FF1 NES ver complete
This is a game I started years ago but never got far in
Started again recently and decided to blast through it and holy shit I loved it
While there are a lot of issues with the game I honestly think a lot of it is overshadowed by how gripping it is
The story while simple is striking, the environments and character put into the world is so plain to see
Also no auto target is not as bad as it might seem, although it did make me avoid encounters with more than 5 or 6 enemies
I'd recommend checking out this retrospective since it really gave me a massive appreciation for the game and inspired me to give it another go
https://youtu.be/VSq-ywmn_so

Done, fuck that 2 headed dragon
Fucking hell where do I start
I really enjoyed the game, story, characters, setting and so much more. The only real issue I have with the game is specific to this version I learnt but it's the sheer amount of grinding that's required to go or do anything
This makes it feel hard to return consistently to due to grinding moods for me coming and going. Also some more direction on where to go for 1 or 2 areas would have been good (particularly underwater)
The World of Dark issue is mentioned everywhere but holy shit is is justified
The fact there's not even a space to save between the start of the crystal tower till the end of the game is insane but could be forgivable if...
The bosses were balanced well. The balance for the bosses are horrible and they can't be defeated, without the requirements for a shit ton of grinding.
Overall really good experience, if I try it again I'll go for the pixel remaster next time

It's aight
Had more fun than I thought I would and it's a neat little spin off but eh it's aight
