Most difficulty I've had with FE so far
I'm glad it made me baby units so I know how to do it properly now
I'm happy I played the prequel first to get more attached to the characters.
I didn't know I needed to get all legendary weapons or how to get them for the true ending so I got a half assed one
So there's a half assed review

A beautiful game
In Art
In Story
In Gameplay
In Endings
It's genuinely wonderful with so much room for depth which sadly isn't really explored in game
Both endings I got hurt my heart, especially full spirit
I wish Grimm was my dad

Very short, a really good way to spend half an hour
It hit so much harder than I was expecting this to
Perfect parts surreal and creepy

DS Ver
Fun little nostalgia trip
Some really good gameplay ideas and the story is probably the best idea for a video game for the simpsons
Some of the platforming in the last second last level felt kinda bullshit but eh dying isn't that much of a punishment in this

The Sun
A game that gripped me much more than I was expecting it to, while I didn't go for all Lost and Founds (yet) most if not all puzzles were really engaging and really got me to use my brain
I love the atmosphere and setting of Lospass island and the titular hotel
The characters as well are all really memorable and have such unique and charming personalities
And while the game has meta humour it doesn't beat you over the head with it or have it feel overdone and dry.
Sumio is also a joy to control and i love his growth throughout the game

And The Rain
There is a lot of walking
But I don't mind it, while it may turn some people off to me it engrossed me more in the world, made it feel more real and cherished the moments of slight fast travel, especially when the game points that out.
While I enjoyed the puzzles, some feel really obtuse and there's just so many Lost and Founds that it's extremely hard to find the focus to do them all after the first couple of days

Make the Flowers grow
All this to say I loved my time with FSR
the game has a lot to give and brings some old school and fun puzzle solving to the forefront.
It's an extremely calming game, one to play at night or when you're in the mood to relax and explore

Hylics 2
really fun exploration and really charming
dragged down by tedious combat
Another amazing game in an out of this world series
Wonderful environments with the same charm as the first I really enjoyed my experience with this
While the movement took a bit to get used to when it clicked it became really fun and satisfying to just fly float, and run about everywhere
The environmental design really helped with that as well
Flying about in the airship was also a treat and just felt really relaxing to just float about the world and the music and colours just make it all very chill and calming.
Also flying about an open world with an airship is always very fun.
I will say I much preferred the combat in the first compared to this one, in this, it just felt extremely tedious, especially near the end of the game, so it just became dodging the enemies and dreading the long battles that come with it.
The first person dungeon crawling segment was very fun to explore and figure out the changing layout of the place.
The Platforming sections while hard are also a treat that I found fun and really good to control

This review contains spoilers

Honestly insane how I blasted through this game in like a week, I loved it to death, Date is such a fun protag with an absolutely amazing supporting cast, even if some don't have much screen time they still feel like individuals in their own right.
Mizuki was probably my favourite character route and one of my favourite characters, I just wish she got the same development as the other supporting cast in the true route.
Soundtrack was as always in these games absolutely amazing
The somniums were also really fun I enjoyed the idea and execution of them a lot

Some spoilers from this point on

The main villain felt, idk off. Like we didn't get that much with him and he seemed convenient I guess, I wish one of the routes went into him much more as a character tbh
"boss"'s somnium was probably the one I had the hardest time with since I just kept on running out of time but tbh I did like that it made you think more about getting timies from other places

Fire Emblem 7 The Blazing Blade
a fun game held up high by its units while being dragged down by its final boss

The characters unit wise really make the game, character wise many feel kind of bland
I've talked about how I feel about the lords a lot, didn't change
I really enjoyed the interactions with the player character as a tactician and it makes the game feel more involved, it's just a shame they don't do it as much after Lyns story until the end of the game
The story was kind of bland
Although I liked Ninian and Nils, Ninian being kidnapped like 4 times really didn't help me enjoy the story

Unit Spoilers -----------------------------------------------------

I really dislike how at the end of the game Athos is the only really viable unit, most others doing very little to no damage against the bosses especially the final one where these master weapons meant to be absolutely insane deal like 9 damage max while Athos is doing minimum 20
I just kept giving Athos Elixirs while he wailed on the final boss

Lisa the first
Watch a playthrough
Fuck the spiders
Good because of the continuing story
On it's own it's alright

Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei Remaster
A game that while it took me a while and was very grindy, had an atmosphere, OST and history that made it all worth it
This has been something I've fucked about with for close to 4 years now and after the last week or 2 of just blasting it out it's finally done, I've beaten the remaster of Digital Devil Story
Fuck what to say about this game apart from it's a solid first person dungeon crawler that has given me such a massive appreciation for the entire MegaTen series as a whole
Was it hell, yes
Did I like it, also yes
Genuinely cannot recommend this game to anyone since a lot of it is just grinding till you can take down the next boss but fuck it I liked it for some reason
An amazing OST, atmosphere to die for is what makes this game, if you don't fuck with it completely understandable
But I ate that shit up even if it did take me a while
Another checked off the list
A good one, not one I regret

An absolutely amazing game, right up there with Nocturne for being one of the best SMT games
Atmosphere is one of the best in the series
Story and characters, amazing
While it doesn't have press turn, the paired alignment mechanic was really interesting and I did enjoy it a lot.
The game also made me think much more about party arrangement and using as many demons
As I had to get their sources rather than just recruit, never touch and fuse like I normally do.
Atmosphere is what I consistently come back to
It's thick, it's raw, it's always present no matter what.
Music while not being the normal Megaten style is a very welcome change, having a more orchestral soundtrack fits for this game.
Each sector having it's own theme that fits the absolute disgust and waste apparent in each one
Also anyone who has an issue with Sector Es teleport puzzle
Skill issue, learn how to navigate a maze

2014

It's an amazing game, it's also extremely heavy and emotional, but also has a lot of humour to it.
I don't have the words, it's really good

Soul Hackers 2
Honestly a really fun amazing game and I wasn't expecting that. Absolutely carried by it's cast of characters all of whom I enjoyed. (Saizo is my favourite)
Honestly just wish it wasn't called Soul Hackers.
Honestly my biggest issue is map design, not the Soul Matrix, I eat that aesthetic up, but the other dungeons.

I will say, that if I played it on release I wouldn't of had as good of an experience. Since the dash and battle speed up suits the game insanely well.
Honestly I think I just played it at the right time in my life, it felt really personal in a way I can't really describe

It's mid

The combat is better(?) than most rpgmaker games like this since the difficulty isn't piss easy but the complete lack of direction doesn't really work for this game since it seems like there is a plot and point to it

What a game. The story and characters are absolutely amazing, the story is presented beautifully. While I wish the gameplay was explored more past the first few cases, felt like the puzzles were just dropped after case 2.

Not just the main story but the placebo route gives so much more context to the story and characters separate from the investigation. Although the gameplay being just get up and look at your computer over and over can get a bit grating.
