A masterpiece that manages to create a full and fun open world to explore that kept my engagement from start to finish. It has just about everything I'd hoped it could: combat that was fresh and fun to master, traversal being the best of any open world, objective markers weren't intrusive, XP upgrades are very intuitive and rewarding to complete and the story was engaging and fun, having a lot of its elements in real time phone calls, which was a genius decision. Everything felt so fluid and right with this game, but it is so close to perfection.

A decent tech demo that shows a different side of aperture and fleshes out Cave Johnson more but doesn't have the same replayability of wii sports for example.

A really unique game that builds on the foundation of Breath of the Wild, while also reimplementing old Zelda traditions. The better dungeons, bosses, musical score, story and abilities really sold me on the game, while the reshuffled and expanded overworld made it a good remix for BotW.
It does unfortunately re-tread the same ground its predecessor does, leading people to believe it's glorified DLC, which it often does come off as, but it did make me appreciate BotW and its fresh design again.
While the story is leagues better than BotW, it does muddle up the already iffy timeline and introduces too many new things never seen until this game (much like BotW) which would've been excellent for a new IP but not Zelda.

A rough wii port that has some infuriating moments due to its half-implemented control schemes and lower graphical fidelity. Not to say that I didn't enjoy it when it was good and its (local) multiplayer, it just didn't hit the mark compared to GoldenEye 3 years later.

A wild new idea for a Mario game that works so incredibly well with the best movement options I've ever had in any of the titles. The capture mechanic is so interesting that I'd want a full sequel to expand the options of it. The additions of travelling to kingdoms rather than the hub option was a major upgrade, because remaining in the area makes the pacing much better and enjoyable compared to leaving each time. The twists in the story are also welcome, keeping enough variety for engagement.

A criminally underrated Zelda game. This version definitely has the most flaws but I found them (mostly) easy to gloss over. This game has the most fun combat, swinging the sword with your actual movements got me very well immersed, as well as a full, strongly involved story really made me really fall in love with it. Very close to being a 5 but doesn't manage to be as consistently excellent as TP

Such an upgrade to the story in the original game, even to REmake, giving me a reason to care for the characters and continue to play. I've played both Leon and Claire A scenarios, and it was a tonne of fun to go through. The music in the game is also much better than before, being much more memorable and powerful to coincide with the story, the characters are really well done for the time and improve the story tenfold. If this game got the '02 remake treatment, it would honestly be perfect, and might even be better than RE4.

this should be 0 stars, this is absolutely horrendous, no story worth playing for, awful controls, super compressed sfx/voicelines and no substance with the gameplay, truly awful

A solid title, matching the aesthetic, gameplay quality and magic as the original, while bringing in a new story connected to the original RE game. It brings a new and interesting partner mechanic to the franchise, if a little finicky and frustrating at times, but I didn't find it too bad personally. The item changes from REmake to 0 are a blessing and a curse, as you aren't able to put items in the item box, but you are free to drop them as you please, which is more convenient than backtracking to a single box, but more tedious to retrieve an item from several rooms away.
The backtracking (in the story) isn't the worst, and is actually a lot more linear than other fixed-camera games which helped with my engagement, it still lacks focus in its story like REmake did, but again the gameplay was fun enough for me.

An interesting tie-in story for Ada, explaining parts of the game were she appeared in Leon's campaign. A little shorter than I'd hoped, but for free content in and already exceptional game I certainly won't complain.

A different and fun Sonic title, with a more Ace Attorney style, with it's own fun twists! Great visuals, funny characters and all free of charge! unfortunately is pretty short, but as an April fools joke, this is one you won't want to miss!

Frankly one of the best games of all time, whether remake or not, it's hard to have an bad time with this. The story and gameplay ramp up at the same time and it works beautifully, having story elements appear, then a new direction in gameplay, back and forth creating a wonderful experience, and kept me very engaged throughout!
The controls seem clunky in the modern day, but I enjoyed this aspect of having control taking away, as it strengthens the tense atmosphere when fighting ganados, and the pointer aim on wii is immaculate, no matter what anyone says.
The Mercenaries mode is also incredibly fun to try and get high scores on, definitely worth a try after completing the main game
Another Resident Evil masterpiece by Capcom

An addicting platformer that fills the Mario aesthetic and charm which was somehow missing from its predecessor. It takes all the elements of the first game and elevates them to new heights, as well as introducing new power-ups and Yoshi!! The hub is much more fun to traverse and it's much simpler to get back on track once leaving a level, so very minor QoL improvements that accelerate this game to being one of the best in the series!

A very solid and unique multiplayer shooter brimming with classic nintendo charm and incorporating the gyro controls of the gamepad perfectly as well as implementing an inking system where players can traverse their colour of ink, creating varied gameplay.
The "campaign" mode is pretty lacking in story but fun overall, and addicting to find scrolls and learn the backstory of this brilliant universe! The multiplayer is where you'll sink the most hours tho, and it's a joy to play!

An extreme challenge awaits with the trail of the sword, giving an upgrade to what should be the best sword in the game, which was sorely needed. The extra content was also helpful to keep me engaged with the game for longer.
