You are better off skipping this one as it really muddies the water of the great Sly trilogy. It features some poor writing and really stiff gameplay. But if you are really hungry for more Sly this game does have some redeeming moments especially in its first 2 chapters. You just have to be willing to deal with some Jank.

Their are two big things that keep this game from being perfect in my eyes.

The level structure is more a series of minigames this time around than interesting level layouts. Which is fine but a balance more like the second game would have been nice.

The villains in this game are pretty weak. I won't get into details, but they aren't apart of a larger team like in previous games. I also don't believe their individual motivations are as fun or as threatening as past foes. Especially the main villain feels under baked.

Regardless I still think this is a great game, and a worthy ending to Sly's Story.

I am a simple man. You make racoon sequel bigger and better than first? 5 stars.

I agree the game has flaws, I just don't care about them. This game is just solid, imaginative and fun.

I have fond memories of this one as it feels very black flag in tone. Very over the top and looking to entertain above anything else. It's funny but when these games focus on the unique aspects of their time periods over being an assassin's creed game I find them very appealing.

Yeah I am aware this is just more black flag but you play as an Irish bad guy. This series is kind of dumb most of the time so I say just party with it. Kind of funny that I liked this one way more than the (at the time) next-gen AC Unity.

So I don't know what happened for people to have such fond memories of this one. But all I remember was its mediocre main character and bugged out gameplay.

Ditch the white assassin hoods and this game is 5 stars.

Okay so he is a Native American assassin trying to hide amongst a crowd by trying to pass as Spanish. Okay I get that given the time period. MAYBE don't wear a white assassin hood embellished with Native American iconography. My point is the white hoods are stupid and only really made sense in the first game.

Stumbles a bit and this is where I first started feeling fatigue from this series. However looking back it did have a fitting end to Ezio as a character. Even if the needless modern day segments continue to bog it down.

This is the game that cemented Ezio as a gaming icon to me.

I totally see why this is most peoples favorite in the series. It is a compelling start for Ezio and is a massive improvement on the first game when it comes to gameplay. If somehow you missed this one, I would say it is worth it.

It is honestly shocking this game got a sequel considering how barebones it is. I would say the only true thing holding this together is the narrative. But even that has some miles on it.

There is no excuse for this level of handholding in a Pokemon game. The originals were for kids too but they weren't this condescending. This franchise is a mess most of the time.

A solid speed run simulator mixed with some light visual novel elements. The story isn't anything special but some of the characters are pretty solid. In the end the gameplay makes up for any shortcomings and you won't be disappointed in this original concept.
