Story aside, the gameplay within the sandbox environment is really fun and lends itself to great gameplay moments, whether you're sneaking around in a box, driving over enemy soldiers, mowing down reinforcements with a machine gun, sniping from afar using tranquilizer darts, and more. I'd argue it's the best MGS game in gameplay.

Driving around Mexico is very fun, the graphics are very nice, and the gameplay is pretty good 👍

It's pretty much Spider-Man 1 but with cooler gameplay (and a slightly worse story depending on who you ask).

Nintendo remembered they can actually make good 2-D Mario games and got off their asses after like 14 years.

An essential game that is timeless in many ways. The fact that I first played it 13 years after release and I still found some parts of the game very innovative should speak for itself.

If you like Spider-Man, you've probably already played this game.

"It's not a lake, it's an ocean."

Remedy has created something special here, and you can tell they put lots of thought and care into it.

Genius kojimbo does it again

A quintessential game, with a story that'll have you thinking about it atleast once a month. I do find the controls drag the game down a little sometimes, though it's not an active hindrance and you get accustomed to it with enough gameplay.

Packed with content despite being just a 3DS game without feeling bloated. Granted, the control scheme is unconventional and YMMV. Nonetheless a very fun 3rd person shooter with lots of different weapons/abilities, and it goes alongside the great story with fun, charming characters and cool levels.

Successfully fills the Jet-Set-Radio-shaped hole you may have in your heart without feeling overly derivative. Really great art direction alongside a banging soundtrack make this a fun play.

When people refer to triple-A games, this is what they should think of. Amazing set pieces, beautiful visuals and great characters.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this game so much as I didn't get so hooked with a certain other indie rogue-lite, but it really pulled me in. The gameplay feel and loop just feel really good for some reason, as you slowly find more powerful and varied weapons while you parry and dodge dozens of enemies, all while you collect cells to spend on permanent unlocks. Even if you're not a fan of rogue-lites, you might get a kick out of this game (consider using assist mode even).

A wholly unique take on a fighting game, being turn-based allows for the kinds of fights that you'd only imagine or see in Flipnote animations. Obviously a proper matchmaking system and some ways to ease players into the experience would help, but the core gameplay was cool enough for me to ignore being pulverised for my first few matches.

No game is perfect, but I really find it hard to identify any flaw that's more than just a slight annoyance.
(The Switch port is pretty good too)

A fantastic action adventure game in the style of DMC, but with it's own unique spin in both art direction and gameplay. Charming characters with lovely animation and fluid gameplay make for a very cohesive experience. Highly recommended.
