After over 55 hours of gameplay, I must say that this is probably the most complete Fighting Game package to date. It has it all from a competitive ranked ladder, combo trials, detailed training mode, a full story, arcade missions, character customization and more.
Being able to choose between Classic or the more accessible Modern control scheme helps anyone who just wants to pick the game up get started. In local play, there is even an AI-assisted control scheme for those who never played fighters.
I cannot recommend this enough.

The funny yet deadly BattleBlock Theater is a hilarious platformer. There's loads of gameplay, and lends itself very well to co-op play.
The cutscenes are childish and fun, and you feel yourself wanting to complete just one more chapter so you can hear the narrator explain what happens next. The game is full of charm, though does not do enough to mix up the level-level platforming action.

This incredibly emotional game takes you through the main character's life. You control the game by literally blinking with your actual, real life eyes. By blinking, you move forward in time.
I can only recommend you play this game without reading more about it. Try not to blink too much while you cry.

No Gods or Kings. Only Man.
BioShock captures Video Games as a medium and tells a story which wouldn't work in a book, movie, or anything else. To experience the story, one can simply play the main story from start to finish, but to understand it, one must explore, pay attention to all the details in the environment, hear out the audio logs, and consider the consequences of ones actions.
For a game that released in 2007, this game holds up incredibly well, and the gloomy atmosphere still looks good to this day.

Started playing this game with a few buddies. We would run around, do quests for ~8 hours. We noticed that everything we encountered had no threat to us. Bosses could not really damage us in any meaningful way, and the game allowed us to easily progress by just spamming our attacks, tanking it all.
Upon asking some players in the chat "what the deal is", we quickly found out that the game does not start until after you hit max lvl. At this point some offered to boost us, which would only take a couple of hours, or we could grind for about 90 hours. At this point we logged off and played something else.
We spend the overwhelming majority of the time playing this game holding the W key, walking to our objective. When we arrived we got to mash buttons for a short while, before walking again. Overall not worth it, and from what I have seen later gameplay mostly revolves around AFK-farming.

The instant classic that released and took the internet by storm. There are many reasons to love this game; the touching story, gorgeous visuals, immersive soundtrack, or smooth as silk movement.
For me, the movement makes this game. I think it may have the smoothest movement of any 2D platformer, and it knows it. Catering to both casual and hardcore players alike, it hits the mark every time.
