The last good AC game felt the least Assassin-y of the series until they decided to go full RPG later on, and as a result they made one of the most beloved games of the franchise. God damn the sea shanties make sailing across the sea worth it. While the modern stuff is still poo poo and the story is kinda forgettable, it's undeniably fun and a much needed return to form.

This was the point I really felt a lack of connection with the franchise. Combat felt simplified, parkour was simplified although I will admit that I think this change was for the better. The story felt like it went batshit crazy in the modern world while in the Animus the story didn't really interest me at all. The overly long tutorial getting criticised was still justified. I recognise that this has been harsh so I'll try to be nicer and say that the homestead was lovely, America was great to explore, I enjoyed the hunting and also that naval stuff was pretty neat, not sure they ever did anything with it afterwards. But yeah, I'm not the most fond of this game

It was around this point in time when I first started feeling some AC fatigue and Revelations takes some of the brunt for my feelings of the franchise around this point. Mainly, it doesn't do nearly enough to change up the franchise and what additions there were just felt flat. Bomb making and tower defence anyone? While it was nice exploring Constantinople and ending the stories of Altair and Ezio, I do wish it did a bit more to make the journey that much more enjoyable.

To be honest, Brotherhood is my favourite AC game, while it doesn't reinvent the wheel, the additions they made helped make the game even better. Making your own brotherhood who can help you out in missions is such a great feature, especially when you see your first recruit become a master assassin. I also loved the decision to make the game take place solely in Rome. It honestly feels impressive how they were able to make Rome not feel monotonous and contain some real diverse areas, especially considering the previous game took place all over Italy. Finally there's the multiplayer which was genuinely such a fun mode, and probably was the best iteration of the mode the series had. Overall, yeah I quite liked Brotherhood.

Thankfully, Ubisoft were aware of the problems that the first game had so they decided to make the second installment actually good. Ezio remains an iconic protagonist, the combat is improved with constant additions earned throughout the game which allow for real variety in the game. It also decides that adding variety to the missions is also a good idea instead of sitting on benches for half the game. However it aint perfect, that ending collectable hunt is really shit if you weren't actively pursuing it throughout the game, also fuck the feathers collection, that shit was worthless.

Still though definitely a massive improvement.

As a launching point for the franchise, it had some potential as the wonder of exploring cities like Damascus and Jerusalem is still unmatched and the modern aspect of the game was by far the best the series had. Unfortunately the actual game itself is kinda poopoo. Do you like meeting an informant every memory block? How about sitting on a bench to hear some people discussing stuff. It's all tedious to get to the actually interesting missions where you assassinate the targets. Overall, there's enough good to not make me bored shitless playing it but man the gameplay is not good.

It felt like this game, more so than MW2019 was just rehashing so many of the iconic moments from the original trilogy to the point where it felt like we was just playing through updated versions of missions like All Ghilied Up, Crew Expendable and The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday. Not that I necessarily think this is a bad thing, you couldn't choose better missions to use as inspiration, it just made it feel like they were playing it very safe with the campaign. Still very solid and I appreciated the variety it gave you throughout even if some things were silly like the abrupt ending, that reveal half way through and that very funny mission at the US/Mexican border which everyone knows about by now.

As for the multiplayer, it is a bit worse than MW2019 but I also believe it to still be very good and better than Midguard and Black ops Mid War. The maps aren't the best, the removal of red dots on the mini map when firing is not a good idea, the new perk system is taking me some time to get used to since it is so iconic and the progression system is very 50/50. On the one hand I love the fact it requires you to use all the guns as this really helps someone smoothed brain like me to keep playing. On the other hand, fuck using all these guns to unlock my 67th red dot sight for pistol 42 please it is silly.

Also need to mention that it has not launched very well, very buggy, crashy and not well optimised but hopefully season 1 fixes these issues, at the very least it is adding back hardcore which is fine.

Overall, its better then the last 2 and given its the first COD with a 2 year cycle, even with its rough launch I do believe it has the potential to be very good.

The most depressing experience I've ever had with a game. It genuinely feels like a slog surviving each day knowing you can't feed everyone or keep everyone warm for the night or let them sleep. In many regards it is not enjoyable which I'm sure will put people off, but man this game delivers it's message so effectively and truly makes you feel like shit to illustrate its point about what war is really like for those that the gaming industry has always shied away from, the average civilian living in a warzone.

There are exactly 0 reasons for this to exist, all of these changes could've been implemented for Overwatch 1, yet for some reason Blizzard decided to remove its existence for this. Why did it need to be 5v5 now making a large amount of tanks so much less viable? Why remove post match commendations which helped to add a sense of pride and accomplishment as well as bragging to your friends and enemies? Why make the mid game scoreboard 10 times worse than the previous one? HOW DO YOU ADVERTISE A PVE MODE SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS GAME TO GIVE IT A REASON TO EXIST FOR IT TO NOT EVEN BE IN THE FUCKING GAME YET. It just adds up to making this game incredibly unnecessary which is a shame because I did really enjoy my time with the first Overwatch, and while it's not like I will never play this again because at its core, Overwatch 2 still retains much of the first games gameplay, its just such a soulless game.

Tomorrow night on Sky Sports 4, it's the clash of the South Coast as the irresistible force of Portsmouth meet the unmovable object of Southampton, in a clash that's gonna go down in history as one of the many football matches that are happening this weekend.
Meanwhile, there are old scores to be settled at The Dell, scores like 1-0 and 2-2 that have happened in previous years.
Who will win this time between Sunderland and Blackburn? Then on Sunday, live, the battle for the North-West as Shrewsbury meet Macclesfield, in a match already being described as "on this Sunday". Coming up midweek, the giants of Charlton play host to the titans of Ipswitch, making them both seem normal sized. Then, Tottenham play Bolton for the second time this season to see who will win that.
Also Manchester United return to Aston Villa, for a game of football, to determine the victors, for this year at least. And indeed at most. Looking ahead to March, every football team will be playing football several times and in various combinations. And you can catch all of that football here, where we'll be showing all the football, all the time. Catch all of the constantly happening football here. It's all here and it's all football, always. It is impossible to keep track of all the football, but your best chance is here. Thousands and thousands of hours of football, each more climactic than the last. Constant, dizzying, 24 hour, year long, endless football.
Every kick in it massively mattering to someone, presumably.
Watch it all, all here, all the time forever, it will never stop.
The football is officially going on forever. It will never be finally decided who has won the football. There is still everything to play for and forever to play it in. So that's the football, coming up, watch it, watch the football, watch it, watch it, it's gonna move, watch the football, it's football!

Absolutely loved this, exploring Possum Springs was a blast and the chemistry between the main characters was fantastic and really kept this game flying high throughout. The game also provided a nice variety of minigames to do which were all a blast. The story was a fantastic experience and really worth playing despite its ending maybe not sticking the landing entirely as it felt a bit more flat then I was expecting, plus I felt like some of the dream sequences weren't the best but honestly those were my only gripes with this game, it is absolutely worth playing.

Holy Flark that was a blast.

A very fun and wacky game with a great story and great chemistry between the guardians really bolster this game and provide its main strengths. The combat was fine but definitely not its strong suit and certainly felt frustrating at times not to mention the game had a real feeling of a lack of polish at times between animations breaking, no subtitles appearing and glitchy moments were prevalent but it was still worth a try.

The definitive sandbox game of the last decade. One of the most enjoyable games around which allows for so much creativity in its gameplay. Its world is fascinating to explore and provides a sense of wonder that is boosted by its superb soundtrack. It truly feels like a game which you can just pick it up and explore for an hour and feel like you've had a blast. It also taught me how to cook which is very helpful.

So thats what all the hype was about.

This was a blast to play, so much fun yet filled with emotion through its length, easily one of the best narratives I've had the pleasure of experiencing in a long time. While I didn't fully enjoy the combat as much as others it still had plenty of high moments to enjoy. The world was so much fun to explore and filled with stuff to do that you can easily spend over a hundred hours in it. There were some issues that I think plague it such as the annoying random enemies being annoying and QTE's which are always dumb and sometimes it does feel like a real contrast between its more serious moments to its Mr Libido moments but ultimately it doesn't drag down Yakuza 0 too much. Definitely gonna see myself getting through the rest of this franchise soon.

I wonder what this game makes me feel like
