This would be the perfect port of Links Awakening, but technical bugs hold it back to a four star

I never had major crashes, but it was evident that it wasn't play tested which is unfortunate. Plenty of softlocks during cutscenes if you press any button (which is hard to know when the cutscene doesn't play properly half the time), assets wouldn't always load, and sometimes you could softlock the game by accidentally skipping sections. Plenty of times I accidentally skipped sections, and this would cause issues later. Worst was needing to edit my save to give me back 2 small keys because I tried to open a locked door from the opposite side?? (evidently I needed to open from the other side, but it just ate my keys)

Otherwise, this is a much better port. More mappable items, and the widescreen support allows you to figure out the secrets easier. I don't care what other reviewers say, I'd prefer the bombable walls to be more obvious since I don't want to poke the wall with my sword all the time - sorry, it's just not fun the old way

Slightly better than the Ancient Gods Part 1, but still has a lot of the same issues
Just has a neat battle scene

I am enjoying the hell out of this game, idc what people say, this is impressive for an indie studio, and is way more fun than Pokemon has been for the last decade or so

Yes, I played this on the worst port possible

Still a good game, but definitely the weakest 2D Metroid

Unironically a banger, doesn't overstay it's welcome, worth the $0

I don't care what anyone says, it's my favourite in the trilogy, the backtracking is perfect, one of the few games I love the dark world and key quests

Needs a remaster now.

Improves upon everything, while removing nothing. This is how a remaster should be

Honestly not terribly fun compared to other Star Fox games, and not fun to look at

Cool ideas, but a lot of downtime, and not really replayable

Ruins the experience with the needless changes
