A great story and exploration of what sex and love means in a queer relationship with a ticking clock and the comfort from simply being with another human who wants to connect deeply with you. What a coping mechanism can be and how it can takeover a person who is in deep desperation for an escape. I think if I talked anymore of this game it'd be way too personal to put out on the internet like this but it is good.

I literally use the devil may cry series as a form of therapy and no matter how awful I ever felt I still have never sat down and played this entire game start to finish.

I don't have a lot to say except this game fucking rocks and is probably one of the most engaging rhythm games I've played

I kind of wanted to just drop a review akin to just "The Industry yearns for Asura's Wrath" and just leaving it there but I feel like that would be a disservice to the game. There's not gonna be any major spoilers I'll just mention a few story beats here and there that have been talked about publicly.

I'm going to get the negatives out of the way because there's a lot to gush about this game. One complaint I have is the odd performance issues with this game where it kind of chugs sometimes. Plus with all the weird shit you get from being on performance mode. I think my biggest complaint about the game overall is the story, it's really fucking weird. I think the whole analogy of slavery with the bearers is really fucking weird at the minimum. I think the best way I can describe the plot is to paraphrase a polygon article "This is Game of Thrones without any of the satire". Thankfully the game fucking forgets about the slavery subplot about a good bit in but it means you kinda just have to sit there and hear about it for like 15 hours. I think even past that subplot the writing isn't the craziest well written story. I think an article that talks about the story well is the article I mentioned which I'll just link here: https://www.polygon.com/reviews/23767374/final-fantasy-16-review-ff16-new-game-plus

Now onto the positives. I have a lot of gush about the game because god does it feel fucking amazing to play. I still think the game could only get better if they just let you break the rules and just put on like more then 3 Eikons but the depth you get with the rules that are set is still great. I love the freedom of being able to mix and match abilities once you start to upgrade more of your abilities. Also I am a simple woman so my monkey brain lit up when I realized this game had dmc4 jump cancelling and I went "alright this game fucking rocks". The game feels so responsive and when you're in fights with groups of enemies has abilities to kind of deal with the fact that groups don't feel so oppressive. An extension of gameplay is I fucking adore the boss fights in this game. The line I said earlier about Asura's Wrath is so true because there was multiple boss fights where I literally started to uncontrollably giggle over how fucking cool it was. Even past the big cinematic Asura-like qte fest boss fights the normal boss fights are also so fucking fun. This game really lets you know "hey this is a fucking boss fight and we're going to make it feel special". The boss fights are also all just memorable designs as well and look so fucking cool. That extends into the general overworld design. The game is one of the most gorgeous games I've ever experienced. Who would've thought you can make a gorgeous game and also just make a great video game (looking at you Callisto Protocol). A lot of environments I had to just sit back in my chair and take it all in. Despite the gripes with the story I think the characters do extreme heavy lifting of it. The voice actors put their all into these fucking roles. With obviously Clive's VA doing his all for being the protagonist. With Jill and Cid's VAs being right behind. I think another VA that stuck with aswell so much was Barnabas' VA being such a massive standout especially later on in the game. I think the overall presentation for this game just does so much for it.

Tears of the Kingdom came out this year but with how this year is looking, plus how this game stuck with me so hard. So far this game and RE4 Remake is neck and neck when it comes to my game of the years. Despite the story beats and odd framerate performance even on this game made me so fucking happy. As somebody who has only played FF7R and this game I can't tell if a final fantasy game is going to like this game but from what I've heard, final fantasy hasn't "felt final fantasy" with every entry since like original FF7. This game was such a fucking joy and I'm probably going to get platinum on it.

When I was a small kid I was a big blizzard head. Playing on my brother's copy of Starcraft 1 and Warcraft 3 (I'm begging for a new warcraft game that isn't a shitty remake). When I was a kid when I would see that intro of a Blizzard game I knew I was getting a top tier video game. With the streak continuing with later releases like Starcraft 2 and Diablo 2 and 3. But here we are 10 years after the release of Diablo 3. Despite my gripes with that game i'd say overall reaper of souls fixed a lot of issues and by the end I'd say it's a very good game. In the year 2023 what has blizzard released since diablo 3, Hearthstone, Heroes of the storm (lol), Overwatch, Diablo Immortal, and Overwatch "2". All multiplayer live service games. And not to make this a whole "man modern blizzard sucks" because as you can see by the score im impressed but just to give general background. I was skeptical to say the least about Diablo 4. Diablo 3 was effectively a live service game but the term didn't exist back then. Then all the reviews came out glowing about the game, talking about how content rich the game is. That's when I cemented my purchase for it. And I am fucking glad I did. This is the type of shit I grewup with where I say that when I saw a blizzard game I knew it was a quality fucking videogame. With some of the most beautiful world design in any game of the past years, with the gorgeous story telling through intricate cutscenes both in pre rendered CGI and In Engine, this game is straight eye candy. The music is so great in this game too with the small tunes that play around citys or in important story spaces and oppressive dungeons. The absolute depressing and murky Sanctuary you're dropped into. With the classic diablo gameplay loop to boot. I have truly gotten the diablo brain worm back of going "man can't wait to fall asleep so I can play some more diablo tomorrow". For context I am currently at level 60 on sorcerer and have no plans to finish playing this game soon. The dates logged are merely just for how long it took to beat the campaign. With all the content in the near future and excited for the return of Seasonal Characters. There is just so much in this game NOW and for the near future. Truly a live service game that is complete at launch, with just more content waiting for the years to come. Definitely worth the 70$

February 12th 2009. That was the last numbered street fighter game I could confidently say I gave a shit about. Street fighter 5 came and went, It got better in the end but never shook off the image it cultivated fully from it's abysmal launch. In all that time I just kept playing a bunch of third strike (love that game to death) so you can imagine my skepticism when this game was revealed. I sat there and watched the reveal live and i'll be honest at the time I fucking popped off more for the fact that super puzzle fighter 2 turbo was getting ported to modern systems and pc then sf6. I just kinda stared at Ryu and Luke and went "yeah thats street fighter". Then the first big showcase of the game happens I can't remember off the top of my head when that happened. That was when the game won me, seeing the fact that sf was heading back to an older urban style that third strike went for definitely appealed to me but also the fact that street fighter looked like it had style again. Yea sure sfv had an artstyle but it felt so incredibly sterile compared to what's on offer here. With the giant splashes of color and the meticulously designed characters and world. This is what I've been waiting for. With other games for the past few years taking up my interest when it comes to this genre like guilty gear rev 2 or a series I always go back to which is my beloved KOF series. I can confidently say capcom has pulled me all the way back in. With such a snappy feeling game that oozes with style and personality, to the responsive online and amazing online systems (seriously I enjoy strive but fuck you arcsys your online lobby system is fucking garbage). It is so addicting to just play this game, to just constantly hit rematch and go "we go again fuck it". The world tour is such a nice little rpg mode that twists the fighting game formula. I don't think it's the best campaign ever made or anything but I thoroughly enjoyed playing through all of it. With being reminded of just how fucking goofy these games and their world is. Also enjoy the abundance of final fight references. Capcom continues to pump out hits lately and as a long time capcom fan it is so rewarding to be here for it. This is definitely going to be my go to fighting game for the near future. Dates of played are for how long it took to finish world tour. This game is worth your 60$

I don't really feel comfortable rating this game because it is a piece of someone almost. This felt like therapy for the creator. I can just say that some stuff really connected with me. Having traumatic events followed with "no dramatic music played, I still felt the exact same as before" really hit something. The line really just made every moment so much more of a sinking feeling. I'd say play it if you can because it is an important story to hear but just know this is indeed someone recounting their trauma.

I think this is a perfectly fine game. Nothing really negative to say and nothing really positive either. I just think it's perfectly okay

I don't really have that strong of an opinion on this game except the fact I feel it's kind of a nothing burger of a game. Not the worst thing you'll have, but you'll kind of forget about it in due time. Some parts that may stick out (I miss Athena) but that's about it. Definitely a weird one

Despite how much I love this game's gameplay I think overall it's a weaker package compared to previous titles. Especially with the abysmal DLC model that had easily the worst DLC drops in the series. I am kind of a big sucker for the borderland's spin on the fantasy genre and I love the character building so much in this game. I think the building your own character out in this game allows you to feel more connected to your character and especially with the mixing of classes it's just such a joy. I do think to a certain degree big story pieces kinda slow this game down which doesn't help my overall lower opinion of this game. I think if gearbox didn't drop this game after one fucking year it could've easily been the best game in the series but we don't live in that timeline. I feel like this game suffered from poor managing of resources and It'll be one of my biggest what ifs of any game in recent times. I really do hope they expand on what this game started.

I'm honestly a big defender of this game because I'm going to be honest guys. The writing isn't that much worse than 2 its just the fact that the villain sucks this time. I think the gameplay improvements to this game overall make it more than viable of being a sequel with just feeling like a better game overall to control and maneuver. Also all the classes only getting even more skill trees with dlc instead of new whole characters (which you can make an argument can be worse I really do miss krieg being playable). I think this game is a really fun time and a good sequel to 2

Had to go back deep in my steam library to find my time on this game but man I fucking adore this game. With a package that is consistently on sale and comes with so much content packed in it. I think this game genuinely is such an amazing video game, and I think some of it is the writing and I very much emphasize some. I think time has been the most evil to this game's writing more than any part of it with very old canned pop culture references that were relevant in 2012. I think also even with the knowledge of said references for back then I think the writing overall is pretty weak because of said dialogue. With some jokes being absolute hits but thats only some of the jokes and a small amount. The Handsome Jack spoon story is a top 3 video game joke. The amount of customization that's on offer for build crafting every single character and the absolute plethora of end game content. With Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragonkeep being one of the best dlcs ever made for a video game. There is no doubt why this game is my favorite one in the series.

This review contains spoilers

This first paragraph is gonna be entirely spoiler free just general thoughts. Idk how the fuck you make a 5 star video game and make a better sequel but u can ask the devs on the zelda team. This game was such a fucking treat overall with so many different parts coming together to help serve the game as a whole. To a lot of me going "THERES MORE??" to alot of fucking things in this game. There is absolutely such a plethora of things to find and explore in the game and tinker with especially. The amount of solutions/content they've added with just letting u Gmod shit together is worth the purchase alone. But at it's core its a love letter from the devs to a legendary series and with a lot of heart in the story and world. Please buy this game.

NOW THIS IS ULTRA SPOILERS NOW!!! IF U HAVENT PLAYED THE GAME AND ARE PLANNING ON IT DONT READ THIS PART!!!! THIS IS UR FINAL WARNING!!!

What a fun combination of old zelda game design with the BOTW template. With the reintroduction of temples (despite divine beasts technically being that in botw). Also the inclusion of just them jamming as much possible content into the entire world. To the sky islands to the depths. You get so much shit to run into in this game. I swear you can not go more than like 20 fucking feet before running into something you can do. Also man the story really hit for me. I'm gonna be honest I shed a good amount of tears. A very beautiful story of sacrifice and what it means to save the world. I love the buildup to the absolute fucking monstrosity of a being Ganondorf is. With his power seeming omniscience and it feels like his eye is always on you. To the final showdown which felt like a "alright everybody complained calamity ganon was way too easy" and challenging the player with a proper close range fight with the Demon King himself. Also god I never thought the Hyrule Warriors design for Ganondorf would ever be overtaken but god he just looks so GOOD. His design is so gorgeously designed with a regal look combined with the feeling of something ominous in his silhouette. The plethora of side characters you run into that simply add to the world as a whole. I absolutely adore all the side characters and like seeing an old friend with all the returning ones. I even smiled hearing beedle's familiar "WOW" when you run into him for the first time. Even all the new characters were a treat and added to the feeling of these are the people you need to save. I loved the general design style of the world too, the serene almost heavenlike design of the sky islands to the peaceful but overcome with evil hyrule to the suffocating murky depths where you have no idea what is lurking in the darkness. Also all of that I haven't even talked about the fucking mechanics! The godhand adds so much to the game and the recall and fuse options. Having the option to just combine shit to your weapons and make your own fucking doohickey contraptions to solve things. I absolutely loved making my own confusing but effective contraptions with what the occasion called for. Also the ascend ability brought so many funny moments of just going into something and seeing 20 enemies and going "dont mind me nvm" and zipping back out. And the fucking music oh my GOD. Such a powerful soundtrack that is an absolute delight and I feel is needed to be heard when playing through. The sweet strings of the overworld music and then as you get closer to anywhere with ganon's presence the music starts to warp and becomes more booming. With Ganondorf's music being so fucking good and conveying the absolute threat he is. I don't know how the zelda team pulled it off but they made the perfect fucking zelda game. I never thought Link Between Worlds would ever get beaten for me personally but they pulled it off. They gave the whole cake with another layer of cake on top. What an amazing fucking videogame and was a thrillride start to finish. Definitely will be revisiting to go back and find all the side content I didn't do.

I know it's funny to make a review about fortnite about everything but I was inspired because I have a long history with this game. To being introduced through the now seemingly 2nd mode which was save the world (which I find to be an okay horde mode). I remember playing the game one day and idk what spurred the thought but I glanced at the other mode called "Battle Royale" and shit has not been the same since. I wanna say I played late into season 2 was when I played fortnite for the first time and man it has EVOLVED since then. To seeing the evolution of actual game mechanics that weren't building to the explosion it had on pop culture. While Fortnite isn't the first BR to do it I think it's the one that perfected the formula. Having a unique gimmick with building and eventually getting to a point of making it's own non build mode that plays more like traditional BR game. This is such a content rich BR experience that you will not get anywhere else. To the addition of all the creative maps (and especially the crazy shit you can now do with UEFN). I've been there for the start of warzone and apex and there is no question why Fortnite has stayed as relevant as it has for as long as it has. It is a game that actually changes and doesn't get comfortable, while for better or worse when it comes to certain season gimmicks it's your decision to make. I give this game as high of a rating because I think it truly is one of a kind game. Yes I think if you listed every IP in this game you probably get more pages then there is in the bible but also this game deserves it! Like the fever dream the game is nowadays is thanks to the fundamentals laid out years ago. To the amazing addition of a permanent No build mode that's balanced separately to build for helping get those that weren't so into building. Not everybody can crank 90s (I got older and stopped caring about trying to crank 90s and my fingers thank epic games for adding no build) and fortnite gives u the option to not be the cracked kids you see clips of. What an amazing casual experience and with the skill ceiling of a good competitive game Fortnite has it all. The industry was changed forever after this game and there is so little games you can say that about.

I think this game is actually a very fun entry into the megaman series! With a lot of cool gimmicks being unfortunately tied to a gameboy game. While overall I think it being a gameboy advanced game doesn't inherently hurt the design because it does have a typical megaman structure when it comes to level design it just comes down to sticking all that shit on two front facing buttons. Which for somebody who plays games in a claw formation fuckin SUCKED to do. I think overall still this game was very fun and had some of my favorite robot designs in the series. With the music also being a standout plus that final cutscene of Zero staring at all the X mavericks ready to fight them goes so fucking hard. Good start to a presumably fun series
