I truly never expected another superhero game to ever surpass some of the arkham series but insomniac pulled it off. With the goregous visuals and the superb voice performances by the entire cast. While Josh Keaton is still my preferred Spiderman voice Yuri knocks it out the fucking park with his performance. With a great story to boot that doesn't waste your time with setup and just starting you off later in Peter's hero adventure. With great (but admittedly shallow) gameplay the game overall is amazing. A bonus is the platinum trophy hunting is also fun. I am excited that PC is finally getting this game too because I want every person to experience it.
Honestly just a very pleasant time! Never played the first so kind of came in this blind with some friends mentioning and showing me the game. The routes are fun and all the character designs are great. With some nice humor to boot I think this is overall a great package. I also want Dahlia to squash me like a bug with her weight

A roguelike that is the least feeling roguelike I played which I will preface might give it more points since I'm definitely feeling the burnout from this genre of indie games. This game definitely has a set track that it wants you to go down to get to the "end" and while there's no end it still has some finality to it. I was very scared for this game because when it was announced I was all in! The art style is great the theming of the occult and darker ideas and topics paired with the idea of these small cute creatures was interesting. Though I was weary because I was scared of the two sides of the game feeling half baked which to a certain degree I feel BUT it serves a purpose almost. The game feels like it's extremely focused on what it wants you to do and while you can argue that leads to both elements of the game feeling "half baked" I'd argue it just was made with the intent to not burden you. I feel if they went way too hard with the town sim element you'd be too focused on that and have it weigh on the back of your mind and if they went too hard on the roguelike segment then why the hell would the town building be there. I played through the game on hard with the long list of experiences I have with these types of games and didn't have too many difficult moments which depending on who you are can be a bad thing. I think overall this was a great game to play and is a quick but worth it game. I definitely recommend a pick up but if you're still weary just wait for a sale!

This is the pinnacle of roguelite games. I was very certainly starting to feel the fatigue of the roguelite trend with indie games. This game has everything you can ask, an amazing soundtrack, great voice acting, top tier gameplay, and great storytelling. It truly does not get better than this when it comes to roguelite games. Nothing has ever felt as complete of a package as this game.
An unfortunate case of the usage of one mechanic leaving a bad taste in people's mouth. I do think the hate is semi unwarranted about batmobile usage but it's not even as excessive usage it's just the fact it's used in a lot of important moments. Don't get me started on the fight if you clear out all the military camps. Regardless of all of that this is an amazing end to one of the best trilogies in gaming (not discounting arkham origins just its an odd one out and not bundled in trilogy type packages). The combat is at it's best here and the story doing a satisfying end with proper stakes. Not as good as arkham city but goddamnit it's still amazing
I genuinely do not get it. As somebody who played this game way past it's release date (only just having played it last year when every other arkham game I played on release day). I do not get the hate this game garnered. With some upgrades to the city formula when it comes to combat and the fun new gadgets that were added. I genuinely like the art style too this game is aiming for to kind of differentiate. The new VO cast does great as the characters (they're very obviously not the same but still do a great job). Probably biggest downside to me in the game is the twist with black mask but that's about my biggest gripe with the game. Certainly not the peak of the series but I'd put it above asylum because of how old/clunky asylum feels. Have no opinion on the MP as it is dead at this point but I'm sure it was fun but was still a just thrown in MP mode like any game in early 2010s. Great game overall

The absolute peak of the series with all parts meshing together well. The story, the combat, the new traversal options, and all of it backed by a great soundtrack. While asylum has the best atmosphere this game is just the best overall package of any game in the series. My biggest gripe of the game is the odd U shape of the map that can make traversing kind of annoying especially at a certain point where you go "I totally could just fly over this at this point in the story". This game included the catwoman dlc which added to the story (even if it was little) and was followed up with an AMAZING dlc in harley quinn's revenge. This game is a must play 100% if you want to play any arkham game at all. Definitely recommend buying a GOTY edition or one of the remakes that comes with all the content. This is a masterpiece of a video game
Probably my most replayed arkham game of them all (most replays coming from when I was a child and it was the only game I had). Replaying this game now as an adult I can safely say this is the worst entry in the series but still a great game. Age has treated this game not the kindest which makes me sad to say but I cannot ignore the pretty shallow depth to the combat and how clunky it can feel with combos dropping. Still a great game and was the start of something amazing but just wish it played better. With some of the most memorable music, amazing voice acting, and superb atmosphere I still think this is still a must play if you're at all interested in the series.
